Very helpful staff. They have everything you could need to ski ot snow board. Water ski all that fun stuff. They carry brands like Burtons, 686, quick silver to name a few. I personally liked the inside setting. But all in all they have everything! Even services to wax skis and such.
Ski World sold my wife a pair of ski boots last year on sale. She finally took them skiing this winter and the fit was terrible. Do not trust John there to fit your boot properly. We now have to buy boots again and we are out $200. Thanks for nothing Ski World.

They did not want to exchange my medium snowboard jacket for small one because I used it once and it did not have the tags on. Who snowboards with the tags on and second of all, the jacket was too big at the moment of anowboarding, all the snow was getting inside. Disappointed.
Great local ski shop with a wide selection of used and new gear. The employees are always very knowledgeable and willing to help with any question you have. During the off season they usually have a very good sale on lightly used demo skis / boards, so that is the best time to go if you're trying to get the best deal on a new setup.
A very surprising store as va beach is not near any mountains or in a snowy area. That being said they have a large selection of surfing and wakeboarding things as well
We took our boards to get waxed and their edges sharpened here. They did a great job. I was also custom fitted for some new snowboarding boots here, I love the boots and I overall loved the experience. I had two friendly, helpful and intelligent sales guy. They really knew what they were doing. I even liked to listen to them talking to other people. They were so knowledgeable about their products and snowboarding. Highly recommend going here.

Love this place for expert advice but sometimes they don't have the newest of new in the colors and gear. Performance wise though they are straight shooters. Plus clearense is always a good deal.
Dropped a couple of boards off to get tuned up before a trip. Staff was helpful and they did a good job on the boards. They had also helped my wife find a good fitting helmet and pants earlier in the season. We will definitely head back there the next time we are looking for gear or a board tune.
The staff was friendly and attentive to my needs. They got me in and out quickly while giving me all the information I required.
Came here for their yearly sale and was not disappointed. Got some new boots that the owner helped me pick out in my price range. Great guy! Great place!

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff! They have a wide variety of all types of gear for both skiing and snowboarding (maybe more, but this is primarily it). Periodically host used gear sales, which a nice and affordable alternative for beginners.
Great service and rentals. For equipment rental, they only charge for the days you're using the equipment. Not on the day you pick up and drop off.
I never post about bad experiences because I always give people the benefit of the doubt, but I really had to for this one.
I hadn t been in ski world in years because of how rude the employees were to my dad and me a few years ago. I decided to give it another try the other day and I will not be going back or recommending Ski World to any of my Wintergreen property renters. We often get asked where to find ski gear in Virginia Beach, I will be sure to tell everyone to avoid Ski World now. The stigma is just so rude. You get the feeling that you are a burden for being there, especially if you don t know a lot about snowboarding. The man in the ski section was awesome, but the main guy in snowboarding had such an attitude that made us very uncomfortable to be there. The high school boys working there were great and had better customer service skills than the older guy.
If we had been treated with kindness and genuine interest to help us, we would probably head back there for all of our future ski needs, but we are not interested in experiencing that feeling again.
