It was good until me and my little sister went to ride the Himalaya ride. And we came last year and she was tall enough but this year she's not. All this ride does is go in circles. The one that goes upside down she can ride. That makes no sense. Get your stuff together Kentucky kingdom. Will not come back because that's total crap. So congrats on losing 4 customers.

I love this place! The only thing that kills me is how expensive passes are. My 3 and 2 year old cousins had to pay full price for their season passes when they can only ride like 10 rides. Also, my 9 year old cousin could get on drop tower, lightning run, thunder run, and storm chaser but could not get on the spinning ride (forgot the name) next to drop tower. We had to leave him alone at the gate lines and he was very disappointed and started crying. But what was fun and really awesome were the staff they were very understanding and amazing. The woman at the spinning thing apologized. I really love this place but would love to improve it. -kenadee

Wonderful experience with my kids every season. The season passes are a great deal and we get them every year for our family of five. The only downside is the food prices but they ve always been expensive, so we bring our own in a cooler and eat out in the parking lot. Free sunscreen and $1 dollar sodas are also great. Lots of memories and fun every year.

$25 for black "ribeye steak" cheeseburgers. 30 minutes later, that my 2yr old wouldnt eat. Poor kid working was 16, and had no help: register, cook, server. I asked to see his supervisor after watching her reprimand him(not helping him work mind you), who also had no customer service skills whatsoever. I also spoke to the front desk, who was equally bad at customer service. Overall it was extremely poor management! I was not frustrated with the kid, but for his supervisor/manager and their inability to run a store. I was one of at least 10 upset customers. I will not return nor could I recommend it. They had a few chances to fix it.

I would recommend bringing a cooler and eating at the car. Worse most expensive food we have had at any amusement park.

We watched them pull a hambuger patty out of drawer and with the way it looked and the way they handled it, I would have to say it was frozen.

Kentucky Kingdom & Hurricane Bay is a very fun amusement park, with plenty of attractions and fun things to do. One could easily spend two days here (one day at the amusement park, the other day at the water park) and spend most if not all of each day at the park. It is a very family friendly park, with attractions for kids, adults, and both! In the past, I have worked here, and I loved it. Got to meet many new people, who became great friends. Great work experience, with multiple departments to work for, such as Public Safety, Park Services, Guest Services, Retail, Ride Operators, Life Guards, and more. They have great deals on season passes, two-day out-of-area passes and large group package discounts, that if you qualify for either, should definitely look at for coming to this park. All the staff are very friendly, and are always willing to help. It s a great part of the Louisville Metro area!

Overall, we had a really enjoyable time at Kentucky Kingdom. The park has added a lot of great new things since reopening, and it is headed towards being a great park. They have nice amenities such as free sun screen mirroring Holiday World's policy which is really nice. The roller coasters are fun as a whole, especially the two newest additions. They have an enormous body slide with a drop capsule that makes for a great time, though you better be in some pretty decent shape to make that climb!

Can't comment on the food as with their oddly short operating hours we were able to just put off eating until after leaving. We really enjoyed the sea lion show which had some very talented sea lions showing off. I wish you could have gotten a picture with them afterwards on your own device, rather than having to pay for a picture, but it isn't to be unexpected at an amusement park. Really, our biggest complaint had to be the ride ops. A lot of them seemed more interested in talking/joking with themselves than with getting the rides back up after a bout of heavy rain moved through. Couple that with the fact that we got turned away at the station for a coaster because the park was closing, even though it wasn't closing time for the park yet.

Ultimately, for our first ever visit, we had a really good time. It was interesting seeing a few of the remnants from the Six Flags days, probably most visible on the white water rapids ride. I'm glad the park is back up and running and heading in a good direction. You can't beat the price if you live out of state. You can get in two consecutive days with free drinks for less than a one day admission if I recall. So, definitely take advantage of that if possible!

The place is sitting right under the sun an provides little to no shade. An this is coming from a 21 he old, DO NOT GO BROKE. I've only done it once an I'll regret it forever. They want you to dry up under the sun so you and your loved ones will be forced to spend damn near 80 dollars JUST in drinks. That will be their downfall. Cause if Holiday world was any closer to kentuckians, we would surely go.

This park is a good day of fun if you ride and splash ...There 2 main coasters are great. And a fair amount of smaller rides. It is a fun oddly layout park that's growing again ...It's small and could use some TLC. Ride dispatches are slow and operators are nice or other..The food it's ok at best , merchandise did not impress me...The drink plan is a mess was denied free drinks on 2 day out of town ticket. ..FYI get a wrist band at guest relation..No one told us just no drinks ..your bar code won't scan..The staff seems unexperienced I saw 3 workers with a park map trying to get around..It would help if markers was placed better for paths .The chain link fence is ugly and everywhere ..And a few left over props from the 90s and advertising needs to go. stop yes for sure ,a full day maybe.

Yesterday, my family and I visited Kentucky Kingdom. After waiting in line for a ride over 2 hours, a worker announced (due to technical difficulties) the ride would be closed for the remainder of the day. Which also happened to friends of ours on their visit. We were very disheartened as we were next in line. I asked and spoke to the director of operations about our experience and asked about compensation for the time we lost. She was less than understanding. She stated that they had a time tracker and was assured that I had not waited the time I told her. She went on to say that the heat could cause one to lose track of time- implying that I might be dillusional. She offered to give ice cream as compensation. This to me was unacceptable considering the time lost. I'm certain park tickets to come back at another time was not to much to ask. Needless to say, this is not a park my family or I will EVER visit again. I advise you or your family not to visit either. $29 for two parks is too good to be true.

Our backpack was stolen by a employee. He was a lifeguard. Luckily a nice police officer was able to track my IPhone with the app. It was located in the employee locker room. They found the employee with my phone in his hand going through the bag. Along with other stolen items in the bag. The items in the bag had a value of over $1000. The park and the employees did little to nothing to help besides take a lost and found form.

Thankful for the officers who help recover my belonging. Had gotten season passes for me and my family every year since they reopened. I will not be spending anymore money here!

We had a coupon for $39.95 per person for entrance fees and they charged us an extra two dollars per person for being from out of state! When people from Kentucky come to Tennessee we don't charge them extra.

Overall fun place to visit. Not on the same level as other theme parks in the region. The rollercoasters are fun but smaller and shorter than the typical experience at Kings Island and Cedar Pointe. Great for the kids, a lot more attractions for the younger crowd. The water park, on the other hand, was top notch. Lots of family frienly attractions and some nice ones for the older crowd as well. Fun time overall, and a great value overall if you're coming from out of state.

Very organized, great service, much larger than expected. You need to plan on one entire day for Kentucky Kingdom and one for Hurricane Bay.
Our second time this year and sorry we have not been in the past.

I love to make trips to KK. With the preseason sale on the season pass, it's a bonkers deal if you go 2 times, let alone 2 times every week.

Staff is friendly and courteous, rides are fun, and the water parks looks amazing too.

We were at the park the 16th and 17th and had a blast!! It was myself, husband and 8 and 3 years old grandsons. We came from out of state and did the 2 day pass that included access to the entire park and free drinks throughout the park. Highly recommend this for anyone with or without kids! We will be back, we need a 4 day deal though!

The concrete is so hot but there are not places to put shoes except by your seats and you have to walk on concrete to get to different water slides etc. Lots of children and adults were very uncomfortable getting from place to place.

I will say the one positive to start...it IS clean. However, the rides are not very thrilling. Perhaps because we are used to Cedar Point , and Kings Island in Ohio. I wasnt expecting rides of their caliber upon arrival so my mind was open to having a fun time regardless. When you wait in line for a ride and realize it's not running due to malfunctions it is disheartening. Needless to say, we gave up on the rides and decided to have a bud light. ( the park sponser, and our favorite).....it was the most disgusting beer we ever consumed. We had a 2 day pass and didnt even dream of going the second day. We went to sightsee around the area instead. Very disappointing experience.

It was a fun family get away. Most everyone that worked there was nice and friendly. We went on a weekday so it was fast getting in rides which is always good. We came from out of state and bought a package that parking was to be included both days. However it wasn't and we had to pay each day for parking because it shares a lot with the convention center.

The rides have wonderfully short lines during the week. A friendly staff in which is very helpful. The water park is great with a wonderful new expansion when the park reopened. There is nothing I don't like about the park. Really would like to see a new coaster next year.

The attractions have improved quite a bit over the...

The attractions have improved quite a bit over the years. My family and I enjoyed the out-of-state discount for two days at the park and took advantage of the free sodas and free sunscreen. The food, however, is very overpriced. We paid over $35 for three hamburgers. The next day we paid $28 for two slices of pizza. But, the rides were fun and the park was clean. I would definitely recommend it to my fellow out-of-staters.

The reason I only give it one star is on account of the staff- not all of them, of course, just most of them. Most of them are teenagers and I am glad to see today s youth out there working hours and earning dollars on their summer break. But, they don t act like they enjoy their jobs. For the most part, they work just hard enough to not get fired. They do not seem to understand, or care, that common courtesy can make or break a business, and that s what Kentucky kingdom is, a business. If you say thank you, they do not respond. If you don t know where something is and ask for help, they act like you re an idiot.

The lifeguards were very disrespectful. The guy at the top of the slide wasn t paying attention and the second kid went down the slide before the first one came out the bottom. So, the life guard at the bottom yelled at both of them. They didn t know, that s why there s a guy at the top, not doing his job. When confronted about it, the lifeguard at the bottom acted like I wasn t there and refused to talk to me- and I was nice about it.

The other episode was at the raging rapids river ride. A handicapped woman needed help getting off the boat and the attendant, Evan, stood and watched her offering no help. I said to him, aren t you going to help her? He looked at me with great confusion and didn t say a word. What s worse, his supervisor was watching from the other side of the loading dock and didn t say or do anything either.

I might be an out-of-stater, but I grew up in the Louisville area and that is not how my people are. So, when making your vacation plans, put Kentucky kingdom on your itenerary and you will have fun, but be prepared to spend a bunch of money on food- or go hungry- and don t set your expectations too high for the staff, most of them have been unfortunately born without a personality and have not been taught any level of manners, courtesy or professionalism.
