The rides are fun and I was glad that there were rides that my one year one year old can ride. That being said, they had closed several of the rides and water slides for the season already but the website makes no mention of that. We waited almost 30 minutes to get a couple of chicken tender meals and when my husband said something to the person working the food booth, she just walked away without saying anything. Also, we waited in line to ride the raging rapids ride just to be told that my daughter couldn't ride because she was wearing a bathing suit. This is after we had been standing on the platform for a good minute and there was a very long line we would have waited through a second time. There are other rides that have signs specifying that you need street clothes to ride on but this one didn't. I mean, its a water ride for heavens sake. So fun, but poor customer service, in my opinion. I mean when you are charging $30 per ticket, and have people driving from hours away you can at least specify that some rides will be closed down.

Good place to go with Friends and family. The rides are good. Overall the park is pretty clean. And depending on when you go, the lines are really not that bad. The staff are friendly and polite.

I would definitely recommend it visiting if you have the time. I would definitely get a season pass if you live in the area.

A little over priced for the number of rides. Hurricane bay is always crowded and starting to show it's age. About the only real positive is it's local. If you're looking for easy, this is the place, if you're looking for fun, go to Cincy or Chicago.

Most of the employees were very cranky when I visited this water park. Although it says that the park is 63 Acres it is not that big. This park is targeted more towards children under 10. It has a few rollercoasters but are nothing compared to other parks in the surrounding area such as Holiday World, Kings Island, Cedar Point etc. The 2 day pass is $40 for out of state visitors which is a bargain but it just does not have enough attractions to even last 2 days. I would not recommend this park nor would I go back again.

Great place to take a family. Has something to do for everyone. Recommend getting drink bands because they can get expensive over a days time with everyone getting thirsty. Easy to find and get to. Friendly staff. Fair prices considering what you get. I would recommend to a family looking to have a good time.

For locals, Kentucky Kingdom is a fantastic value at a season pass level. For travelers, it ain't bad either, as ticket prices are competitive/better than other regional amusement parks. KK has come a long way since I last visited, back when it was a Six Flags park. It's not as big as some other destinations, and two of it's coasters feel eerily similar, despite not looking at all alike. Still, the rides are good, and everything is well kept. Hurricane Bay has many great features.

Strengths: Good rides, fair prices, big water park, many good attractions, adult beverages .

Areas for improvement: Better training for staff professionalism (they're mostly kids), better logistics for rides to decrease wait times (wait times can often seem unreasonable).

Who Wants Some ABC ice?, if you go there and drink your pretty much french kissing everyone in there, got my cup refilled and the worker dipped my cup that i had been drinking out of all day into the ice, i was looking around for a candid camera, i said is that how all drinks are made he laughed and said "yeah", i said get me some fresh clean ice, oh but they have these green wannabe cops at the front gates that check your bags to make sure your not taking your own clean "non-contaminated" drink, i complained to the manager, and she said well we don't allow outside drinks for your health and your safety, i said how is that safe, and healthy when your workers are giving people ABC ice.

Went here on 7/29/18 & 7/30/18
Absolutely amazing place to visit!

Pros:
Free second day
Free drinks
Free sun block
Rides for every age
Staff was friendly
They have a toddler water area that is so adorable and my daughter had a blast.

Cons:
So much walking lol
Workers are overworked (heard some employees talking about it)
Wish they would have characters walking around for the kids
Dont like that the wristbands for free drinks you have to keep on overnight because they dont want to replace them the next day.

***** When on the lighting run ride a bolt flew off the front cart. Luckily no one was hurt but the employees were amazing when it came to making sure it safe afterwards even though it was almost time for the park to close******

***** Oh so I wish my son wouldve got the guys name but he went on the big yellow slide that has a ton of stairs but my son said he was happy that the guy pushed the button to let him drop even though he was having second thoughts. He said that was his favorite water slide ever as well. Thanks to that guy .......... im glad you didnt let my son back out of it******

**** Didnt like that the movie ride had a pre show that took forever. They could shorten it because the movie ride was so much fun.*******

Definitely a place to visit with the entire family. Will be back next year.

I went with my grandson and he loved it so much that I later ordered tickets for four which two grandchildren and their guest used on the 24th of August. The tickets did not mention any extra fees but when they got there they had to pay an extra $5 per ticket because they were told it was during the fair. If I had been there they would have had a hard time with that charge, but teenagers don't know what to do. Also, it was 99 degrees and my granddaughter said a bottle of water cost $3. I was surprised they did not have free cups of water as I had been to the zoo the day before and every concession had bottles of water for sale or free cups of water. I sent a note to 6 flags about the extra fee but never heard back.

Great fun! May not be on the same scale as Cedar Point or Kings Island but kids loved hurricane bay and the coasters that were there. For 29$ per person not bad for a day trip. 10$ for parking and 11$ for a small locker i recommend.

Everything was great minus the fact that an hour after we got there it started to down pour and thunder! Due to this everything was shut down the rest of the day because it kept raining and thundering! We stood around until 430 waiting but they wasn't opening anthing back up! Tired to see about a refund but we got told there was nothing they could do about it!

I wish that I could respond to Sybil Drew regarding the park being located in a "disgusting" city. Louisville is a clean, diverse, and historic city. Sybil's city must be extravagant!
But I digress...KK is awesome with several roller coasters of various degrees. Even a new wooden coaster which goes inverted. Hurricane Bay is massive with several water slides, a lazy river, and this ridiculously large "funnel" slide that is pretty awesome. There are several water rides and the normal classics as well. Pricing on tickets and passes are normally lower than other parks and are especially discounted during this Covid crisis. Though I wish they had longer operating hours.

This is my first time being at Kentucky Kingdom, I...

This is my first time being at Kentucky Kingdom, I'm a little disappointed. Whenever we first got here, one of the employees had a STOP sign, so we stopped. Whenever he moved out of the way and turned the stop sign, we went on. He then started yelling at us being very disrespectful. The season pass on the website shows $69.95, whenever I went to pay for the season pass I was charged $78.10. We went to get on the Rapid Ride or something similar to the name of that and two out of the three of us was kicked off because one didn't have a shirt on (a male) and the other a female because she didn't have a towel wrapped around her exposing her stomach. We was required to have shirt on the ride and if your stomach is exposed then you must have a towel wrapped around you. We spent over an hour at that ride waiting in line and it was around a 30 second ride that did nothing interesting, just spinned you around in circles and a few bumps here and there splashing a few drops of water on you. The wave pool was closed the for around an hour or two because someone decided to take a bowel movement in the water, yuck. A few of the rides, we felt unsafe on. One of the slides, we nearly hit the sprinkler and was hanging on our floats with our hands gliding in the air. They did have a ton of options for a variety of people, and nobody would be left out. However, the food was expensive. $10 for a box of chicken tenders which only had three in it and a scoop of fries, no drink included. And we went around the lazy river once and was told to leave so other people could get in, where they created a line and you could only go around once.

We have had season passes for the last 2 years and really enjoy the park. I took a star off because the workers--mainly the teens/young adults at the restaurants--are not very friendly or helpful. We went to King Louie's almost an hour after it opened and were told we couldn't get hot dogs because they were still frozen.

The good thing about this park being subpar is that there aren't very long lines. However, the service is awful at the restaurants with some of the rudest or just plain indifferent employees I've ever encountered.

The food isn't very good for the price. The only food worth buying is the funnel cake, which is phenomenal.

The water park is really cool when it's clean (sometimes it isn't). The first day it was open this season, I saw lifeguards rescue three individuals in a row in the wave pool. They are clearly doing their job well and that's important.

My son does love the park and thinks the food is fine, as he's nine.

The perks with the season pass are OK. Discounted food, but pretty bland food still for the price. Free parking which is good because you can get a close spot most days. $1 drinks which is cool.

The free sunblock is a fantastic way to ensure the health and safety of the patrons so I applaud that effort. It'd be nice if they upped it to spf50 at least.

This park has the potential to be phenomenal, and at it's special season pass price (like 59.95) it's pretty much a "you get what you pay for" scenario, but if you drive a long distance, one bad experience here could deter you from ever seeing it as worth the drive for a season pass.
