I had been going to kentucky kingdom for years prior to it shutting down. I was so excited to see it back open that I bought season passes for the entire family.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am. It is so far from the park it used to be. The rides and attractions are great, and the place is much better maintained than it was, BUT...

The employees here have to be the laziest and rudest of any park I have been to in 30 years. Every line takes 4 times longer than it needs to. It took 15 minutes in the soda fountain line because the worker didn't care.

At the burger place by the wave pool it took 35 minutes to get food. The food was already pre dished out. It took 6 minutes from the time I got to the window until the lady could be bothered enough to get my food. She was rude, couldn't remember what I had ordered, and just slow. She was more worried about joking with the 3 employees standing around than grabbing my order. We wanted to spend more money in the park to get more food, but didn't, just so we could avoid the food vendors.

The ride operators were hit or miss. Some were great, while others were obviously miserable in their jobs.

I understand these are young seasonal workers, but every other park can manage them appropriately. I wish I hadn't wasted the money on season passes. It's free for us to return, and it has been such an awful experience I can't say we will. I know we won't be back next year especially for passes.

We went once early in the season and just assumed the kinks were still being worked out. We went again today and the attitudes were worse. It's a shame because this could be a great park, but the poor management makes it impossible to enjoy.

I would be happy to speak to anyone about my experiences.

The very first amusement park I ever went to. Just going through the entrance fills you with excitement and the park it self has many wonders. I enjoy the thrill rides to be honest and this park will always be in my heart.

Went on a rainy thursday. Park was empty. Every ride was a walk on all day. It was amazing. Storm Chaser is one of the best coasters I have ever ridden. Lightning run is amazing as well. I found T3 to be rough, but it has a fun layout. The flat rides here sre great as well. Overall a very fun little park, especially with no lines.

Had my belonging taken from inside the park. Once the thief had my car keys, they proceeded to the parking lot to take my vehicle. Security was of no assistance. The only help that guest services would provide was the phone number for the police department.

I thought it was okay. The rides were fun and the food is good. but for how many "Excuse Our Landscaping" signs they had they could have LANDSCAPED. But its their first year. They had to make the best of what they had. It'll be much better next year.

Rides are pretty good. Lines for food and drinks are always slow and it seems like it's due to the workers or processes. They run out of some drinks and ice all the time, and don't expect them to refill it quickly. It's better just to go find a different drink station. Food and drink is also expensive even for a theme park, most other theme parks are more reasonable.

If you're ever thinking of going here, you should! This place is amazing. They have rides for the kids and the thrill seekers, and they are all amazing! The coasters here are some of the best in world! Not to mention the out of state deal which allows you to go to the park for 2 days. I can't wait to come back!

Only gave 1 star cause you have too. NOT WORTH IT!!! If you are not under a certain weight or height you can NOT ride anything and do NOT go by what they say. Had a 16 year old not be able to ride ANYTHING because she was too tall and another not be able to ride any coasters but 1 because she didn't fit. Will NEVER go back!!! CEDAR POINT or Kings island is worth every extra dollar!!!!

Absolutely disgusting staff! Very unprofessional. My straight a student daughter was ejected for apparently getting off a ride that she did not get off from. She even requested that they look at their cameras. How strange is that that they state there s no cameras on the property! Sounds like a bunch of baloney to me. We were not able to speak with anybody and she was treated unfairly! I m very very unhappy with the unprofessionalism and demonstrated by the Kentucky Kingdom staff

Love it, what an affordable way to have family fun. Small enough that you can easily get around the whole park in a day, big enough that there is something for everyone. Courteous staff, clean, and tons of fun!! This is an annual family event!

You have a wide variety of products available, which is great. However, you do not back them. I spoke with a supervisor named CJ at the trading company in hurricane bay. We bought one of your H2Odyssey waterproof holders. There was a hole in product. I simply asked for a refund or another product. I was told to call the number on the back of the package. Another customer at the same time had one with a broken clip that was able to get a replacement. Supposedly because the sales representative admitted to thinking they broke it. Then why would the rep let them leave with the product? Why would you think the rep could slam one in the drawer and not the other?

Hands down my favorite water and ride park. But its a must rent a locker for your stuff. We had a bag only for towels and someone went through it. If your from out of state, its only 29.99 for 2 full days and free drinks all day both days. We love the roller coasters. We go during the 4th of July and its not super busy.

We have not visited here since the reopening a few years back. We got tickets from a friend who was not able to go.Otherwise we would have demanded a refund. Me and the person I was with both wear glasses. Mine are looser and I always take them off for any kind of fast ride. His are all but attached to his head. Literally, he has ridden the coasters at Cedar Point with them on. So , we decide to go on the boat ride first. We're both told to take off and I do, but we told the lady his wouldn't be a problem. Didn't matter, she wouldn't start the ride without them off. He is blind pretty much blind without them ,so how do you enjoy a ride if you can't see? Begrudgingly he took them off and put in his pocket. Next ride, Lightning Run, same exact issue, so he just got off and even though I asked to get off, they started it and I was stuck. It wouldn't have been such a big deal but they have it posted before every ride that they aren't,responsible for loose articles that fall or get lost while riding. No other amusement park we have ever visited including Cedar Point which also have these signs posted, demands you take your eyeglasses off. It's the responsibility of the rider to decide if they chance it.
The staff was also not friendly or helpful by any means. I understand that we have gone at the end of the season, but that doesn't mean you should treat your customers rudely because you don't want to be there . I bought a souvenir cup first, thing before, any ride. The cashier didn't tell me anything , literally not even the simple "What can I get you" and I wasn't sure about tax so handing him the exact money for the cup he just stared at me. So, I asked if,he needed more and he finally said yea . Then, upon getting my refill at the same spot the lady hollered at me like I was just gonna get my refill and not pay the dollar for it. I had the dollar in my hand and just felt it was ok to fill first and pay second. So, we left after that .That's our trip and we will not be going back.

I feel like when I went to Kentucky Kingdom everything was amazing you know it was the usual long lines and all that but I wish they had a drying station so I wouldn't be soaking wet also the wait for the food was ridiculous like I understand that there was other people before me but that's chicken was unflavored and based on the amount of time that they took to give it to me it's should have taste better

Fun for all ages. Enjoyed the sea lion show and hurricane bay was a good time on a hot day. Long lines for the rides but that's typical of any amusement park I have been to. Really appreciated the free sun screen and adult beverages, although they were pricey, were actually worth the price.

Really fun time. Wish social distancing was a little better followed through every where else except the rides. Seemed to be the only place you could tell. All in all still a good experience. Friendly staff!

Lines were short for most rides and we had a great time at Hurricane Bay. There were some power outages yesterday, but the customer service at guest services was exceptional. The park could be cleaner, especially respond and changing spaces. We can't wait to come back.

Very upset with the park right now. We bought two out of state tickets Thursday that allowed us to come back a second day and have unlimited drink bands too. We planned to come back however when we came back we were told our tickets were expired because we did not come back the very next day. While we were in the park on Thursday I specifically asked an employee who told me it didnt have to be two days in a row. The customer service person I spoke with on the phone about the incident was not helpful at all, she wouldn't put me on the phone with a manager no matter how many times I asked and just keep repeating the same thing about the tickets being consecutive day tickets. I did enjoy the park the day we went but wish today had gone much better. I can't help but feel we were lead astray and I am very disappointed especially because I was looking forward to going again

Clean, affordable and great for families. From the selection of rides to the food and employees I can t say enough good things about this park. They pack so much into a little space. A great asset to the Louisville area and even more so for the entire state of Kentucky. Can t wait to see what the future holds for this park.

No masks. Guests routinely ignored social distance markers. Staff made no attempt to enforce guidelines. This gave me the impression the park was not safe but a refund was denied. The rides were really good and the prices are very reasonable. Although, that doesn't make up for poor covid precautions. I really wish I could praise this park, but I can't reccomend visiting it. If they're not making an effort to take precautions during a pandemic, I have to wonder what safety precautions are taken under normal circumstances.

It's okay. Had a bad experience with staff. We got rained out and they closed down rides and staff refused to give rainchecks to some people. It seemed arbitrary and racist. They refused rainchecks/refunds to an Indian family and several Black families. Staff told them that the 5D movie was open and bumper cars were still running. It was weird because I saw them giving rainchecks to many White families. I will not be going back.
