Six Flags America Review

What a great day. However i did get the Luxury Cabana and I wish I had just gotten a couple of the 2 person cabanas. The Luxury doesnt have any lounge chairs. They were hot. Maybe it was just me but i didnt like them. Also dont ride the Bonsai. Its not fun, it hurts and you feel like you might drown before its over. Do ride the Superman its the best rollercoaster ever.

Had a blast, but the workers were not very friendly.

It was Halloween Themed but most of the lights were off so it made it feel unsafe.

Great experience but but a bottle of water cost me $5.30

I was expecting a worse experience based on the negative reviews, but the fun rides and rather sparse crowds balanced out the incompetent staff, horrible food service, and incredibly overpriced everything. The waterpark was by far the best part of the day. Bottom line, the experience was not worth the ~$80 per person, but it was enjoyable most of the time.

Some black girl slammed a window in my face after telling me her line wasn't open, which i obviously seen. Young kids don't deserve jobs anymore they don't know how to deal with people or handle a customer service job. welp !

Extremely great place to go with friends and family to have some fun!

I'd reccomend it with friends and family maybe even alone as a treat to yourself and you have to go on the Firebird

It is a small park. The atmosphere isn't warm and friendly.

We got stuck on the Firebird for 45 minutes in the blazing heat on our first ride. Not so much as a bottle of water was given to us when we finally exited, so we headed off to buy 2 for $10 bottles water as a result of being overheated.

There seemed to be more rides down at any given time than working. We tried Jokers Jinx, Batwing and Riddler all in a row and all were down.

The fast pass didn t register these rides as down. Also, the staff never opened the fast pass lines, so it was a complete waste as we waited with everyone else.

On our way out we tried to buy ice cream at two different shops, but both shops registers were down.

I live 40 minutes from Six Flags and 1:20 from Kings Dominion. It s not worth the time saved driving, next time I m taking my money elsewhere.

As this is my home park I won t say too much bad about it because I am a bit biased towards it. This park is a pretty decent park with I think 8 or 9 coasters. The coasters at SFA are pretty decent but unfortunately there is a lack of original coasters here as almost all of them are clones or have been relocated from another park. I m not saying it s a bad park, but if it got a good original coaster, or even an RMC raptor it would be if it highly from it as it would give enthusiasts a reason to come here and it would help the flash-pass business in this park. Food is not too great, quite expensive for some lower end food but overall a good park.

Might have been a fluke but for a Thursday the park was not crowded at all and the weather was perfect, we felt like we owned the park for the day. Rode every ride, most at least twice or more. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great day. Thank you Six Flags America

This place is great for a family outing during covid they have taken many precautions to make the staff and guest feel welcome and safe. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because there are too many fights and not enough security to contain the hooligans which put my kids in danger.

There only two people currently working to take pictures for over 30 people and their children.

The rides were good. I wish they had a larger variety of coasters though. The parks itself is pretty clean , I wish they redid the area so it looks "prettier". The staff is pretty nice and fun. The food is gross and tastes fake.
But overall, it was okay.

The grounds were very nicely lit up for Christmas. Many of the attractions were open. Obbiously, THE WATER PARK EAS CLOSED FOR THIS WINTER SEASON. IT WAS A NICE TREAT TO VISIT.

I love six flags. It may not have the best rides but the lines are never too long and their water park is pretty good. Also their staff is always friendly and willing to help.

Packed during busy days and food is very expensive fun for the kids

Get there early and bring your own food and snacks in a cooler. Return to your car as often as you like.

I am sending this to every Six Flags I can find on Facebook and hopes that I will get some kind of response this is about the New England location (1623 Main Street Agawam Massachusetts 01001) I have never been so disappointed by a theme park before now mind you I live in Palm Beach County Florida so I have been to plenty of theme parks this particular theme park on the other hand is absolutely ridiculous I called at 1:30 to 2 p.m. due to the fact I was trying to find a water park that was open I was told the waterpark is open it would be open till 6 so I drove the hour and a half to Six Flags only to find that the water park is closed due to weather now I remind you that on this particular day granted there were clouds in the sky not a single drop of rain not a a single crack of thunder or strike of lightning in the sky. So now at this point I am now dealing with two very disappointed nine-year-olds one my daughter and the other my wonderful niece that we are visiting. So I simply asked you know guys I called I was told the waterpark is open till 6pm and its not and we are literally only going to be here for 4 hours is there anyway that you guys can help us out with some kind of a discount considering half of your Park is closed Jessica the supervisor responded with no ma'am there is nothing we can do the price is what it is she also preceded by saying I'm so sorry in response to that I told her no you're not because if you truly were you would be doing something to help. Following that we went over to their Little River Ride where we got on the ride and the worker working the ride went along and helped everyone buckle up now I had my bag in my arms I don't mind keeping it in my arms but I figured I'd go ahead and ask if I could toss it over to the side so I can pick it up when I got back off the ride of course I got ignored and she continued her way off of my raft which is when I put my arm up in the air waved it and said hello I still got ignored so then I again attempted ma'am may I toss my bag over I am now currently almost clearing the landing so I just made a last-minute decision to toss it over well of course the worker had no problem noticing the fact that I tossed my bag over and then screaming the word NO at me walking over and tossing the bag back at me so I responded to her actions by saying if you had not ignored me the first 3 times I ask this would never have even happened oh and all of the scowled faces that almost every single one of their employees had the few employees that I encountered that were pleasant and smiling was a custodian for a bathroom near the river ride and two wonderful ladies working for the food stand right in front of that bathroom I am so sorry to say that this was an all-around horrible experience I am not looking for reimbursement y'all have my money and y'all can keep it but I would like to know that the situation is being handled it wasn't just one or two employees it was multiple in all reality if Six Flags was a true caring company they would do an entire overhaul on the New England location now needless to say I will definitely never suggest this park to anybody I won't even suggest Six Flags at all because they obviously do not care about their customers

They call it Six Flags of America but Mr. CEO is holding all 7 Flags.

Mostly a fun park with fun attractions and rides, but the one thing that really bothered me was the new virtual reality on the superman roller coaster. The VR was cool but not that enjoyable during the ride, but it took absolutely forever for the virtual reality headsets to be put on, fixed, and substituted for the riders. On average it took 10-15 minutes for all of the passengers to get their headsets on, making for a very long wait, and I actually preferred without the VR anyway.

Everything nice except food and sweet foods and they should also have Latin food too

Roller coasters where awesome and staff was encouraging and helpful.

Aged Amusement Park - there are about a handful of extreme thriller rides, including one from 1917 ... but the park looks run down and, even in the main season, the almost pass was completely unnecessary - there were few visitors .. ,

Had a great time! Fast moving lines... Food is pricey...but overall good experience.. By parking and tickets online... And if you go often the memberships are worth it!

The food is over priced and terrible after being in line over a hour for it. The place the dirty and the employees are rude.

Absolutely loved it. Fun rides for me, and fun rides for my kiddo. Just get your butt there and have fun!

We have a membership to Six Flags America and for the most part it is the neglected child of the Six Flags family, and Six Flags is great for thrills but not much more. The staff is under-trained and not excited about their work.
The good is that the lines are always short. The longest lines that we wait in are the food lines. Never have I waited more than 30 minutes for a ride, but I have waited in line 45 minutes to get food.
The shining gems of Six Flags America is their Holiday setup. I was very impressed with that they did in their holiday decorations and shows. Are the shows as good as Disney or Busch Gardens? No, and I wouldnt expect it to because I paid less than a one day Disney admission to go all year. But the shows are amazing compared to their normal shows. They catered to all the major winter holidays but not in a way that makes it feel forced or awkward.

Smaller six flags than I am used to. The lines during the day are super short in the fall.

Have been trying to get ahold of the office, unable did not buy a season ticket from this place, have had my check book charge 3 times, do not have any tickets. Unable to speak to anyone.

So much fun, came here with some friends for my daughters 10th birthday. Adults and kids all had a blast!

Food service is terribly slow everywhere throughout the entire park, literally a hottt mess!!! Organized chaos at best. Rides were fun and lines were very very short.

It's is a nice play to go and have fun. But compared to when it was 5 to 10 years, the environment has not kept to it's own standards.

The bees were gone, I dont think I saw any. I got a burrito with my daughter and my husband waited FOREVER in line for chicken strips and kids meals. We have season passes, we will be back. And soooooo glad there were no yellow jackets/bees to be seen!! Hopefully enough people complained and they fixed the bee issue.

Fairly disorganized for an amusement park. Save your $ and find another theme park.

Horrible experince. I called to cancel my account months earlier. Recently I recieved an email saying my account is in collection. Called customer service over the phone, no live telephone agent no matter what option i try, just automated system to tell you go to their website. Drove 48 miles (96 miles back and forth) to speak to a live person at their theme park but they said they dont have any information. They gave me the collections number but also a dead end as it is just another automated voice. I have to dig in online to find which collection agency they use, after several call i was able to find the collecting agency. I did not dispute anymore whatever they are charging me just to get it over with. I think six flags is about to go bankrupt, unable to keep a live telephone customer agent is a sign. Horrible experience, i am not gonna go to any of their theme park anymore, their rides had been having a lot of maintenance issues anyway, i dont want to risk mylife and my family.

Parking - Buy entry ticket and parking ahead to avoid standing in line and paying more. Lots of rides including water park. Food is expensive for the quality, dont come here hungry. If u arrive late in the day, depending on busy time, u might have to park very far in parking area.

It was my first time at six flags and I was pretty satisfied. Food was decent. I recommend bringing own food or stopping by a chipotle like a few minutes away. I went the sunday before labor day, and it was a good choice. Ride Lines were 5 min or less. Even the water park. The only "bad" thing is that batwing kept going down, that's it. This place needs more attention by the six flags company though. It needs more roller coasters, not flat rides. I've been to other amusement near maryland, and this one is ok compared to others.

parks a little small and the staff are untrained at the concessions. Horrible service. Wont waste my money here again

Had an amazing time, they close late and have a lot of free rides.

I did not give 5 stars but this park is nice however it is a smaller Six Flags park but the staff was friendly and the waterpark is really really nice overall experience was nice I would not travel very far just to go here but if you're in the area it's definitely worth checking out

Staff is pathetic, ignorant and rude. Rides were fun but extremely unsafe. Park is dirty and not taken care of at all. Some places smelled of urine. Food extremely expensive and they didn't have barely anything available on the listed menus. Worst theme park I've ever been to.

It was fun even with the rain. One ride had trouble getting people off. Comminications to us waiting was poor.

They have done an amazing job making the park safe during the pandemic.

It's absurdly expensive, but that's pretty much a given for an amusement park. However, if you plan on coming often, it may just be worth it for one of the passes. I came on a Monday and the place was effectively dead. No lines for the main park, and the water park wasn't too bad. Overall I had a great time! They also allow you to bring bags which I wasn't expecting. Will be returning later this summer.

Great park. The restaurant staff are always horable. Was served a hot dog with a spot of mold on the bun.

This place has everything honestly to have fun with family and friends. Recommended.

I like this place a LOT. My family has Season Passes, and we go often, and I was only on two rides that broke down, Roar or Wild One, (can't remember) and Superman, but it was at the end of the ride, so it didn't matter, because it was fixed in less than 10 minutes, which really isn't that long. They have a variety of rides, a water park which I have not gone to yet, but seems fun, tons of roller coasters.

Super cool to be in a park that has some of the best roller coasters in the world, including the oldest roller coasters, built in 1917, it is excellent for loading adrenaline and is located just 45 minutes from Washington, very easy to reach by subway and bus

Terrible customer service, long waiting in lines, many rides not open. Not a great experience.

Some employees were very rude they seem like they did not wanna be there there were a lot of people exposing themselves in the lines my son was standing there when some girl decided to take off their top and show their nipple rings.
