It is what it is. Food and drink expensive, nice rides each time my daughter has went there has been a ride with a broken seat belt so they definitely don't do their safety checks on a regular.

Went for 3 days in March. Lines were 1.5-2+ hours on anything worth riding and even some kid rides. Made it to the front of lines after waiting and they would close for technical difficulties without giving a fast pass or anything for the time we d waited. Every worker we asked a question did not have an answer or would give incorrect info. The park would open at 9:50 for certain members (we are platinum), but nothing would be open. Then when the park actually opened at 10, there still wasn t anything open. No where to fill members cups, get a snack, no stores, no rides. One park employee told us I didn t even know people were in the park after opening hours. The kid rides in boom town would open first and then the thrill rides didn t open until 11:30 or after. When we would ask about thrill rides opening, every day for 3 days we were told they were closed due to technical difficulties , but frequent goers said they say that every day and it s simply because they don t start inspections early enough in the morning, so you just don t get your money s worth. The app ride times and open and closures is not at all accurate and we got stuck in several lines because it said wait times were 30 mins all for it to be hours. We got to the parking gate at 8:45 each morning for 10am opening and there was already a line. If you didn t get there at that time though parking was unbearable. Then we would be directed to another line to wait in and then another... and that was arriving over an hour early, all to get in and nothing be open for hours. There were at least 2 thrill rides closed for the majority of the day every day we went. In 3 days we didn t ride everything and never road anything more than once. Fast pass users pile in in front of the regular line and they continually get to go in front of you leaving the regular line at a stand still for a very long time. Workers were very rude. 2 bathrooms had soap dispensers and toilet paper holders that were empty all 3 days we were there. All the bathrooms were filthy and going in first thing when the gates opened they were already filthy and it was obviously they were not cleaned after the previous day. There were no shows like there use to be with western duals, country dancers, or anything. The first day we arrived we had to go to member services to receive our membership cards and get our member cups and we stood in line for 2.5 hours. We got a one time skip the line with our membership purchase, but never got to use it because the line at fast pass to claim it was longer than the ride lines. Serveral rides couldn t fill all the way because buckles didn t work in certain seats. 2 rides in the kid section were not open the entire 3 days. We purchased a dining pass and researched if there were specific times for lunch, snack and dinner and didn t find any times listed but when we arrived the restaurants had times posted. Lunch 11:30-3:30, snack 11:30-7:30 and dinner 4:30-7:30. So if you missed out on lunch you just didn t get it, or if you arrived too late for supper, you didn t get it, or if you wanted to snack while you waited 1.5 hours for any rides to open, you couldn t get one. Johnny rockets was supposed to open at 12:30 but didn t and then no one could tell us what time it would be open because of... you guessed it, technical difficulties . When leaving on the last day we were going to let the kids but Minecraft swords that saw at a booth and when we went to purchase them, couldn t because her computer was down due to technical difficulties. We did not feel like the time spent was at all worth our time and the kids wanted to just go swim at the hotel and lost all excitement for six flags because we spent so much time walking across the park trying to find something we could ride and not even getting to enjoy most of it. I grew up going to six flags every year. Definitely disappointed.
PS: please ignore my google name. My daughter changed it and it won t change back. I m not crazy =)
Great rides! Layout good, but signage for directions could be better when it is dark. A lot of fun people running the rides!
Very friendly staff! Need more rides and it s best to get a membership
The rides are amazing, but if you can't afford a Flash Pass, be prepared to wait in very long lines and watch Flash Passers jump ahead of you. I understand why Did Flags offers these passes, but nothing is more frustrating than being in a line for one hour and watching a large group of people get in front of you. It really sours the experience.
If you have lots of spare cash, then this is a five star experience. If you have to budget to go, you will have fun, but that fun will come with quite a few aggravations.
Great rides. It's fun for fright fest. There's something for everyone to do whether it's eating or riding rides. My favorite rides are the Titan, Batman, and Mr freeze. Weekdays seem less crowded.
We got memberships and so far seems like the value is worth it! We arrive when they open and the kids can go on 8 or 9 rides with little to no wait. We spend 3 to 4 hours knowing we can come back anytime. That makes it easier with young kids. The membership came with cups that get free refills. We also bought the popcorn bucket and can refill it for less than $1. So we just buy food and we get 15% off of that with the membership too. There were a few rides that broke after we waited in line, so that's never fun but overall a really good time. Tried the new app as well and it shows the rides, height and even maps it while you walk through the park. Pretty neat tool!
This place is always crowded. You get to wait for like an hour per game. I will not renew my card again. It is pricy too for the ticket! Unless you have your speeding card.
Fun had lots of Pokemon go stops and has cool holiday stuff at Halloween and Christmas. Can be difficult for handicap access
My dad took me and he showed me all the amazing big rides, I totally recommend Mr.Freeze, or, as my dad says it, Flashback.
Great party foam 4th party. Upset we waited at the amphitheater for hours like it said online it would be and then we had to go on the OTHER side of the park to not miss it! Not cool Six flags!
Too many words and variables to put in to have a review, so it gets five stars on my overall rating. Some days will be better than others, lines may be long sometimes, weather may be bad, or it may be blisteringly hot outside, regardless the park has a great layout and a great collection of rides and friendly staff. I personally enjoy this six flags alot, and with the new membership options it has became much more enjoyable!
If the park staff were a little bit nicer - this would be a 4 star. The park is old and lacks anything new (such as a bigger coaster). But the rides are still a lot of fun!
We sat in traffic for over an hour. Entry into the park is terrible. Would never go here again.
This is a fun amusement park and good to take the family too. I'm used to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio which has alteast 10 of this parks best coasters so the park seemed alittle small to me. Also the flash pass system is alittle confusing sometimes when trying to get on the rides. Cedar point has a lane right next to most of the entrances for their fast pass while this park sometimes requires you to go all the way around the ride and sometimes you could get lost if it's your first time. First time I went two years ago the Batman ride was completely shut down for the day. When I went today there were several rides shut down momentarily. All of these negatives make me give it a 4 star but it really is a fun place to spend the day.
The rides were great, the food was horrible and there was no hand sanitizer anywhere! Not even by the food. No place to wash up after riding and touching hand rails and hold on for dear life bars. Dirty! Over priced disgusting food... not the best first impression.
The worst customer service!!! I have never seen a company not allow customers to speak to a real person! If you ever have an issue with billing or anything else you re SOL because you can t get ahold of anybody to resolve the issue. Now I am all for the use of technology but just some things you need a real person to help with the issue! Very disappointed!
Overall it's a nice family fun place. They have awesome Deals and packages. The rides though..they are a little outdated..but if you never been there it wouldn't matter if they are..would give it 3 and 1/2 stars if I had the option , due to false advertisement in the FIRST kiosk when you enter the park..was trying to get an ALL DAY Dining pass but I guess they don't have that :/
Get the gold season pass and food add on. Tons of fun. Tons of food. Seriously, like a ton of food over an entire season. And I mean 2000 lbs of food. I might have to actually count the weight one year...
I m a Diamond Season Pass Member holder and I feel that their food is less than mediocre. Having a season pass is worth it only because of the perks that come with it. One of the perks is one gets a meal plus a snack each visit plus discounts ranging from $1 $5 on all meals or gifts. Another common perk for any season pass member holder is having a House cup which one can fill with any fountain drink as many times as one likes for free. I don t care for fountain drinks regardless of where they come from even if they are free but it seems that if one is from North America one would enjoy that too much and too often and it seems that is a big time favorite for North Americans. In my opinion, another reason having a season pass is worth it would be because not having one would cost more in 5 times one visits the park in a year during the season than not having one. Another would be simply because of the roller coaster rides the park offers, and the fact that with a season pass one gets a Flash Pass on each visit which allows one to skip the line on a roller coasters ride of one s choice. Boom Baby!
I Can't say anything bad about Six Flags except the cost of food. It's Way too expensive. We always bring a picnic lunch or eat something cheap on the way home. I miss The Flashback & Parachutes, but the new rides in Gotham City are fun. Not a big fan of the Joker, though. After years of living in DFW, we Finally invested in Gold season passes with free parking. Definitely worth the cost!! Highly recommend getting passes. They also have an option to pay monthly on your membership. There are days you can bring a friend for free or for a reduced price. Food passes can be bought & added to your membership, they seem worth the price, we just aren't big on eating when we know we'll be spinning, upside down, etc. Great place for families.
Awesome amusement park. Research days with lowest attendance and go. The lines were short when we went on a Tueday. Main attractions are fun, great day for the family. Bring a picnic, makes it even better! Enjoy!
experienced exceptional, efficient service from supervisor Kelvin @ member services even though there were a few SFOT guests who were obviously not having an excellent experience.
I d give it zero stars if I could. Went over the weekend on a Saturday almost every ride was down or closed. Would of been nice if they told you on the website that nearly all rides are closed. Rides kept breaking down, shops and food stands were all closed! Parking is way over priced. Came from out of town and was really looking forward to having a good time. Park doesn t know how to run a business what a joke! Would not recommend! Food is terrible and way over priced. Save your money! Disney world is cheaper to park at then here! Go there instead of six flags, you definitely won t be disappointed!
Very fun I've gone over 100 times and I've never gotten tired of the rides
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Drove 6 hours to get here. Spend ungodly amounts for tickets. Wait in line after line, just to be told the ride quit and was being shut down. Rode 1 ride in 4 hours. Very poor experience.
Spring break was awesome...lines went by fast cause it was supposed to be raining but it's sunny! My daughter's had a blast...last time I was at Six Flags was when Astroworld was open....great time here!!
Fun for the family or going with friends. Great places to eat. Over all its astonishing.
Love going for fright fest and during Christmas. Came with family on the first weekend of June and it rained but we managed to have fun and enjoy rides before they shut them down around 8pm.
Spent over $300 to get my family in, another few hundred on food, games, and all the little extras then over an hr wait for every single ride, we were there from 11am to after 8pm. We were able to ride 5popular rides and few little kid rides and that was it. If you do the flash club to skip lines so you can actually get to ride anything it would be anywhere from over 200 to 450 for our group depending on how much wait you want to cut. So if you have a family of 4 or more expect to spend atleast a grand to be able to actually do anything. We spent well over 500 and got to ride far less then any of the other parks we've been to, was pretty disappointed.
Great park with amazing rides. The Titan is amazing. The New Texas Giant is fun. Batman and Mr. Freeze rides are exciting. The water rides close often for maintenance but that is good in my opinion. Runaway mountain is a dark rollercoaster much like space mountain. The food is pretty good for a theme park.
Big theme park. Lots of rides for all thrill levels. Food was good. Best deal is the membership with a season dinning pass.
Love this six flags! It's so much fun! Wayy better than the one in San Antonio. I would give it a higher rating but it seems like every time we go alot of the rides arnt working.
The rides here are very intense! But there are also rides more on the mild side for the kids. There are TONS of food options here for every desire. Make sure you are ready to enjoy a day full of thrills when you come here because the roller coasters will not disappoint you!
Took our boys for the first time!! Had a blast!! Wore a mask the whole time and it wasnt as irritating as I thought it might be! For the most part people respected the social distancing rules and wore their masks. Six flag personnel were very diligent with reminding people to wear their masks appropriately. Keep up the good work!!
Save your money and don t go. The entire experience was a complete joke and waste of money and time. Over half of the attractions/food places were closed. Had to wait in line for over 30 minutes just to be able to get water on an exceptionally hot day. Thankfully I didn t pass out from heat exhaustion while waiting.
We always go to Six Flags Over Texas for holiday in the park! They wrap everything in Christmas lights, the have hot chocolate stands everywhere, and they have real fires burning at s'mores stations throughout the park! It's such a fun time! The best deal is the collector cups for hot chocolate that come with free refills during your entire visit.
I love six flags it was 100degrees the day I went so left early would like to go back when cooler outside
Extremely disappointing most of the rides were close. We purchased the gold flash pass to avoid lines. Flash pass is worthless. We still had to wait 45-60 min even after the pass said we are ready to ride. I will not return. In my opinion fiesta TEXAS better organize including the parking. Parking at over Texas was a nightmare.
Had fun except half the rides were closed including Superman, Mr. freeze, Texas Giant, The Joker, Harley Quinn and many more. So for my first time really going. I didn't get the full experience and was a waste of a ticket. Also because half the rides were closed meant longer line we were there from beginning to closing time and only got to ride a handful of times. Oh and we GOT STUCK ON THE PAN.. OR TONY HAWKS BIG SPIN.
Had a great day and can't wait to go back. It's always a super time.
My wife, son, daughter in law, granddaughter, daughter in law's mother and I visited Six Flags Over Texas - Arlington for Holiday in the Park. We had great weather and a great time. Many rides were closed for the season. Large crowd. Crazy $$$$$$ food prices.
My daughter dropped her iphone in the grass on the batman ride and we could even see it but security said they couldn't get it for us until they close the park so they would email us. Needless to say, someone stole it and we never got an email. Luckily we have find my iPhone and got it back no thanks to six flags
A lot of people but great service and awesome rides
Great place for family and friends... Rollercoasters are worthy!
I have a membership fortunately so I go A LOT. Luckily, because rides always break down after I've stood in line for an hour. But as a member I get to enjoy all the perks which make up for it.
I haven't been to Six Flags in probably 9 years. It was a great break from showing homes. :) It was a nice day and not too busy. Staff was friendly and park was clean
Always a good time! I have season passes so it is also not too expensive. The lines are long on some rides but there are enough rides that it isn't too bad to have to wait for certain rides. There are lots of good food options and with the meal pass it is easy and cheap to stay the whole day and eat without breaking the bank. Parking is crazy but there is a shuttle that picks up at the back parking lots and another to take you to your parking area when the day is over.
Great time with the family. Only had 3 random times where we just got told to get off the rides because there were issues. No explanation on 2 of the rides just told, get out, you have to get out. You ask them what's going on and all they say is, get out of ride. Overall it was fun. The biggest pain in the neck is you can't easily find water stations for refilling bottles. Cold water is very expensive here and they pretty much have you by the you know what... Don't get me going about the food, Johnny Rockets was a wonderful air conditioned option which ended up costing us a premium. Decent food, great air conditioning, would spend the $50 again for some sweet sweet a/c and a sweet reprieve from the sweltering humid outdoors.
Best place, most of the park is clean. Very nice employees.
Amazing best six flags in Texas. Sad I have to drive 5 hrs since six flags fiesta Texas is poorly managed. Six Flags over Texas however is Amazing.
Amazing park! I had such a fun time with my cousins here, it was fantastic, the rollercoasters they had are just out of this world! I really love the prices that you can win on some games and the best of all it's the attention, the staff it's very friendly. The entrance may be a little bit high but trust me it's totally worth it!
I love Six Flags. Always have. They're doubt a great job with cleaning and social distancing. Masks are mandatory but it's still worth it.
Six flags was amazing and it was my first time and only rode 3 rides
Was here as a child of 10 years old. Brought our son here while passing through on vacation, it has gotten better since my younger days, full day of fun at reasonable prices for a venue like this, large selection of souvenir and food selections!!! Will come back, worth the time to take your kids if you want to see big smiles on their faces!!!
Corona has decreased the number of patron but not the fun. We did everything that was open in 3.5hrs.
I'm a member... I love taking my kids to the park and spending the whole day. They have amazing perks and deals. Just wish the staff cared more. I also wish that when it was brought to a member of management attention it was taken seriously. Instead they are also rude. I don't think they realize if we didn't go they wouldn't have a job. So the least they could do is be polite!
Was fun for the family, but too much closed, especially a bulk of the water attractions. With the heat it would have been a nice reprieve. Once they finish the construction and get the rides back up it will be better.
It s a small amusement park. But it has gone downhill when it comes to cleanliness. The whole family fell ill after eating at one of their restaurants. All the rides need a revamping as they re getting old and boring. They re adding new rides, but even my teenage daughter is iffy on going on some of those. The park just doesn t feel safe. And the kids that work there just don t seem to care about safety. Yes, teenagers operate the rides.
Park is dirty and aging. Needs maintenance and updating.
I love it here! Very clean, and the staff are somewhat nice. As far as covid, they are taking precautions everywhere, but I don't believe you have to make reservations, being I did not and was able to come in the park. Great park!
Pretty good for the price. The rides are fun! I like the Titan and how it makes me feel. I go with my friends and family a lot.
Great place no complaints except for parking lot security . Some one broke into my truck today and I let the security guy know and he could care less and I even told him I seen a suspicious person in the parking lot scoping out cars and he said hes going to go check him out , Buuuut never asked what he looked like or what part of the parking lot . I think he just wanted to get away from the situation. Not I have to repair my door
I went here with my husband and his sisters. The line was long and we were directed towards the wrong line, because we weren't very clear when we told the man that we were bringing the coke cans for the discounted entry.
I was a little sad that some of the bigger rides were closed, I had checked online and a couple of them were listed as being closed on their website but not all of the ones that were closed were listed on their website. I don't think that there was a discount for the rides being closed but it did have an impact on the experience.
The lines were also long, not extremely, but we spent half the day at this location and were only able to get on two rides (including walking to the location where rides were closed).
It was a fun experience but I would recommend speaking with someone there to find out what rides are available and paying the extra money for the flash pass so that you aren't in line the entire time.
Just be prepared. Unless you buy the flash pass, especially during a busier season/day, you'll suffer in long waits. You think today they could at least afford to put some amenities for everyone that has to wait in line (namely some mist fans) but that wouldn't sell flash passes so why bother?
Also do yourself a favor and bring your own food. Some of the restaurants had longer lines than the rides themselves.
To top it all off, we had to wait in the parking lot for an at least an hour before we were able to actually leave. They need to fix their parking infrastructure.
Most of the coasters are not working and the ones that are operating are at half capacity. Horrible experience and waste of good money. Stay away!!!!!
Kids love going here. A season pass is always a winner
Flash past makes it worth it. Love the rides and the bathrooms were surprisingly decent. Food and alcohol lines are ridiculously long though.
Amazing drop and if u dint go on it ur a chicken and dont worry its extremely safe
pretty frustrating when you spend 223$ ...99$ of that being on a dining pass, then your daughter goes with her school and tells you they made her pay for her lunch...finally was able to talk to someone...they tell me I should be mad at the chaperone....seriously...its not the chaperones job to make sure the dining pass I just paid for is loaded onto her card...i buy season passes and dining passes for the whole family every year...we may be done with that....learn some customer service please and don't try to blame someone who doesn't work there. I'm very disappointed in six flags...use to be so much better!!
Great park. You can do the whole park in about 4 or 5 hours. It's nice clean park, short lines, decent prices. When your in the area I recommend stopping at the park.
was here on dec 23 2019 six flags LET US HAVE AIRTIME ON THE NEW TEXAS GIANT WE ARE SAFE WITH 1 INCH BETWEEN THE LAP BAR AND OUR LAP
The park is amazing with many exciting rides. The only bothering thing is the long waiting line for the rides.
The season tickets are well worth it considering how expensive single visits are. I recently took my two kids, one of which is in a wheelchair. They provide an ADA pass to use that is like a spot saver so you can tend to the child without standing in line and use of ramps and elevators which was very convenient. Most park staff were extremely courteous.
Wear comfortable shoes. I walked 9 miles throughout the day!
The lines are very long and you could be waiting for up to 45 minutes or even more in some cases. However, if you're willing to wait for the rides, you'll love them. There's a large variety of coasters available. For those who want thrill, family fun, or slow lazy rides, this place has got you covered.
I would rate a 5 if the wait for the rides was a little shorter.
It was a great family trip for my family. We mostly came for the rides and not the games...lol. The rides surely were fun to ride on them.
Half of the rides weren't working. If we didn't have a season pass, I would have been so angry.
Been going here since I was a kid still as great as ever. They've added a lot of great rides and food. They also sell beer and margaritas now.
Its not Disney World but Disney doesn't have as big of a selection of thrill rides. If you live in the DFW you must get a season pass and go after the rain pushes people out of the park.
I have never been to six flags my favorite one is super man that one i loved I also loved that it had Mexico, Spain, Texas and more I had a really great time . But it is expinsive.
Great timing to go during the week. No waits on rides although not all rides were open
My kids and I love going to Six Flags. We never get bored with the rides or other features. We got the membership this time because the general admission prices are nearing $80 for adults and $62 for kids. These prices are advance ticket purchases so you do the math. We got the diamond elite membership with entrance to any Six Flags theme park in the country including the water parks, free preferred and VIP parking, lunch, dinner, a snack, and unlimited drinks. It only costs $21.99 plus tax per month and you have to sign up for at least a one year membership; after which they welcome cancellations properly initiated. Some people had or have issues with the membership and pricing or cancellations but everything is explained clearly in the terms of agreement. I'd say, read anything you're required to sign and pay for. You really can't blame them for anything they've disclosed prior to you signing even if you choose not to read it. It's a lot to read but you've been clearly informed. Overall I like it and it takes away from some of the boredom summer can be for kids when they're out of school. It's like paying for an all inclusive package to Six Flags.
Three of the newest ride were down for maintenance and one was having technical difficulties and I didn't see or feel happiness from the employees there was no love, care or pride
I'd give 5 stars if the quality of the food matched the prices. Had a blast though. The lines weren't bad at all.
