Excellent steakhouse! The New York strip Pepper Steak is very good, as is the filet mignon. I also should compliment the gravy. Try the Silver Fox. You won t be disappointed.

Really dark inside...but in terms of meal very nice. You get what you pay for and then some, service was impressive every need met with a smile.

Have to downgrade my 5 Star review from 2 years ago. Our server Clay moved to Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, and the staff last night forgot to bring lemon with our tea when we requested it twice. Forgot the salads and they were served warm once they came. I will say the steak he recommended was a great steak. The desert was also good. However, we received a call at 10:21pm after our children went to sleep from the server saying he ran the wrong tab. That we still owed $7.00, seriously?? I ask requested to speak to a manager, and he came back saying it was a mistake and the OTHER table owed $7.00. Very strange. We really like the atmosphere and food. Try the onion rings with their homemade ranch. Very delicious. Just disappointed on a late night phone call, and do not understand how the server received our phone number from a manager to call in the middle of the night? Very unprofessional if this true.

The Silver Fox has some of the best steaks you'll ever eat period! Very high quality cuts, excellent preparation and cooked exactly as ordered with a person coming to the table to personally verify your satisfaction with the preparation by you center cutting the steak in their presence to verify it. This is a special person from the back and not your waiter or waitress, which let's you know this is definitely a place who cares about your personal satisfaction with your steak and that you are in a finer dining establishment! Their lobster is some of the finest tasting lobster I've had in Fort Worth. Which also shows their just as serious about their seafood as they are about their steaks! After your first visit enjoying their appetizers, salads, steaks, seafoods, vegetables, desserts, drinks and service you'll realize this will soon become one of your favorite fine dining establishments in the city of Fort Worth! My wife and I frequently dine at Grace, Capitol Grill, DelFriscos and Eddie V's. The Silver Fox was a very pleasant surprise away from the hassle of finer downtown area dining. Since The Keg closed in City View nothing decent was left above the chain steakhouses which carry the standard chain type steak quality cuts and if you can't taste the difference from a fine dining prepared steak from high end cattle and a chain steakhouse steak from average cattle then save your money and just eat fast food!
Otherwise prepare your palate for the baseball 10 oz fillet mignon or one of their other excellent cuts, like their fabulous bone in ribeye that puts most other bone in ribeyes to utter shame. Any steak from the Silver Fox will instantly let you know that yes chain steakhouses are the fast food dining establishments for steaks!
Located on University Dr. across the street from the old 1849 village on the left before crossing the Trinity River bridge heading toward the Fort Worth Zoo/TCU. My wife and I are so happy that we no longer have to travel downtown anymore to experience finer dining. What a find the Silver Fox Steakhouse was for us! I'm sure it will be for you too...

The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. However, the mixed drinks were made inconsistently and the food was not worth the price. The only thing that made the experience worth while was the silence. The steak which I had to cut with a dollar store knife was horrible. I could see the cuts on the bottom of my steak where the chef was checking for wellness. True sign of an amature.

Food was good, however way to expensive for what you get. I would rather go to quite a few other places before coming here again. Service was absolutely amazing though.

Amazing experience. The food is delicious! The staff is awesome and the management is amazing! They made our anniversary dinner a very special one.

We were told how good this place is. My wifes steak was over cooked. I ordered the pork chop and it was tuff. It also only tasted like vinegar. It was over priced for average/bad food. Ther is not much of a selection, only 1 fish choice, salmon. I wanted a white fish or tuna or bass. Service was great.

Service was great. My steak was absolutely perfect. The only issues we had were that the lobster bisque was a bit over salted, and the salads were over dressed. But I could live on that fried calamari. Yum!

This is my wife and I s second time here and we are so impressed by the food but more importantly the customer service. Both visits we were celebrating a special occasion and they went above and beyond to make our night one to remember. Wendy was our server this last time and she was amazing. We have decided to make this our go-to for date nights and celebrating special occasions. Thank you for going the extra mile and setting yourself apart from other restaurants.

Great Service, and enjoyed the food. The tomato and mozzarella salad was really good in my opinion! We had a very attentive waiter which made the expierence. Great anniversary meal!

This place was amazing. The wait staff was the best. Our food came out in a timely manner, the different course choices were outstanding. We went during restaurant week so the menu is a little different. The appetizer was tuna nachos, the first course was salads and the second course was steak! The steak was the best steak I ever had!! It was so tender, and lastly the dessert was cake. Honestly if you are looking for a good restaurant to be able to talk and eat this is the place!

Fantastic food! Stellar service! The BEST wine list in Fort Worth...in fact...perhaps the entire Metro area! Had bone in rib eye sprinkled with bourbon salt and cooked to perfection, creamed spinach which was rich and the fresh spinach was tender. Great date place if you're so inclined.

Very nice place. Try the bone-in ribeye, only thing you'll need is a good cigar after you're done.

On Saturday July 8, 2017, we walked into the Silver Fox Steakhouse, on University Drive. It is a nice venue, comfortable but not stuffy and very lively on a Saturday evening.

Our server Gabriel offered us the wine menu and brought out some bread and butter that was very warm and good. The wine list is well selected - not overly long but a good selection of various styles. I chose their Franciscan blend called Equilibrium. I enjoyed the entire glass , but found it to be pricy. (I looked it up while sitting there and it sells for about $15. My glass cost $14. Actually, most of the menu was pricy. Examples include the prime NY strip at $47 and the bone in prime ribeye (which I was seriously eyeing) at $48 led me to choose a less expensive alternative.

Upon looking at the menu we were impressed by the awesome selection of appetizers and meals. It was not that there were too many items, but that the items they did have sounded very good. Like crab cakes, scallops, ahi tuna, onion rings, lobster bisque, and more.

To start, she chose lobster bisque and I selected the scallops. The scallops came very nicely seared and hot. Some might say that they were overcooked, but I liked them just the way they were. Sad to say that the sauce they were in was cool and that really took away from the enjoyment of good hot scallops. One of them also had not been cleaned well enough and has some sandy crunch to it that was unpleasant. Her lobster bisque was just not good. It was lukewarm at best, was a bit too thick, and, most important, had very little flavor of any kind, least of all Lobster. She actually sent the bisque back.

On to the entrees for the evening. She requested the Petite Filet while I ordered the smaller portion of Prime Rib. My prime rib was very good and cooked exactly to order as was her filet. She was particularly pleased with both the flavor and the tenderness of her filet. It was a small filet but she ate avery bite of it. On the other hand, my small prime rib was actually quite large and I could not finish it all. There was enough that it was well worth getting a to go box for it. My entree came with mashed potatoes and snap peas. The peas were warm, but they hadn't been cooked at all. I am a soft vegetable lover, so these were basically inedible for me. The warm gravy Gabriel served over the potatoes was excellent (and hot).

Overall, there were ups and downs through our meal. And the name may be SILVER Fox, but I think you need to be a PLATINUM level customer to frequent the Fox.

Best crabcakes I've ever had. Filet was seasoned to perfection and extremely tender.

LOVED the service here!(perfect steak)very quick and on top of everything. Very nice & classy place with AMAZING food...definitely a place togo dressed up for a romantic night out.

My family and I enjoy the lovely evening at The Silver Fox Steakhouse in Fort Worth celebrating my father's retirement. The food was absolutely delicious and we had the best service we could have asked for. Thank you all very very much for helping us make this a memorable event.

It has valet parking, the waiters and waitresses are so nice the food is great the music is wonderful great Aviance , great for private parties , very classy for dinner , this place is newly introduce to me and I've already been there two Fridays in a row..

Slow service, arrogant waiter Jeffrey, waited too long for our entree, we were definitely forgotten. Had better service in the past so will be back since the food is good, but NOT with this same waiter. Excuse me Jeffrey for not asking for the features versus the specials ...you are a smart aleck...to put it politely.

I ve been there twice and was disappointed both times. If you re wanting to spend some money on a nice steak or dinner there are MUCH better options within a few miles of this place.

The steak was a cheap cut with not a lot of marbling at all ($50 ribeye?), the potatoes were bland, including the gravy.

If this meal were half price the price I still would have disappointed.

Arguably the finest steakhouse in Fort Worth. Attentive staff, interesting menu, and excellent dining.

This was our first time there, Sean was our waiter and he was full of knowledge! Without going into deep detail, it was well worth the experience for my wife and I to try it one time. If at all possible, request Sean as your waiter, you won t be let down!

Conner is an fantastic bartender. The steaks are top level but Conner is the real reason I keep coming back. My family shares the same feelings as I do.

I've had some great memories at this place over the years. The food and service have been up and down over the years as well, but the recent experiences have been great. I like the remodel they did as well.

No real complaints. The food and service were both good. It just does little to stand out against other high end steak houses. It's just a very generic high end steakhouse. Not bad by any means though.

We had a great anniversary dinner at Silver Fox Steakhouse in Fort Worth, Tx. The New York Strip Pepper Steak was close to perfect, and the filet mignon was excellent as well. The potatoes and gravy were above average and the bread was great. No complaints on the service, but the lights were very dim, almost off. Romantic, I guess, but seemed a little dark. Otherwise, it was a great dinner.

Love the food and the service at Silver Fox, and stop by for happy hour- it's fantastic! Connor or Matt will take good care of you in the bar area!! The 6-ounce filet is fantastic and my lately I've been enjoy the scallops appetizer with a caesar salad.

This was the perfect place for a quiet date night with a fantastic meal! The bone-in steak comes out with flaming salt, making for quite a show, and the filet oscar-style has all the color and vibrance I demand in a 5-star plate! All that to say, the food was awesome!!! Lastly, don't skip the dessert! The classic cheesecake was a reliable and delicious choice! If you are in the Fort Worth area, this place is perfect for date night, business dinner, or catching up with friends! Reasonably priced, and wonderful service! Highly Recommend.

Excellent service and the food was amazing. I particularly liked the way they made the experience unique by allowing me to pick out my own steak knife. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My wife is very picky and she thought it was one of the best meals she's had in a long time.

Overpriced, poor service, served cold waited 28 mins more just to reheat took forever to get service - AVOID - same in Richardson - had gone to the one in Richardson a few years ago - it was very disappointing - thought I'd try this one at the behest of my guest never again burned twice - there are many other options at an average of $50.00 per plate - sad...

One of our new favorites! Wife and I got to get out for a date night without the kiddos and we were so glad we decided to try this place. Food was excellent, wine selection was great, service was top notch!! We will definitely be going back. Of course their mouth watering steaks are amazing, but you have to try their Texas Pecan Cake! Crazy good!

Also, the guy that runs the place, Dave, was the absolute best! If you have any issues at all, he'll make it right for sure. And he's one heck of a sommelier, dude knows his wines! If it's your first time there ask for him, he'll make sure you have a great experience.

They also have a great bar area if you're just wanting to eat light and have some great drinks. Matt is a bar tender there and he makes a killer Old Fashion. Highly recommended!

It was a great experience but can probably find equally as good food for quite a bit less money. Paid $75 for a bone in filet with two sides alone. That's without any of thier upgrades. Buy a drink and an upgrade and it's $100. I'll still give 5 stars because the food and service were so good.

Very disappointed. I had real high hopes based on the reviews. I'm usually the most picky at the dinner table but even the other guests at my table were let down as well. Our table before tip was $275 and have had better tasting food for much less. The service was good... bread and butter phenomenal...the pickles phenomenal. Mac n cheese pretty good. Each item thereafter we found ourselves saying this would be good if.... The kettle one drink was over iced and watered down quickly so that was the first replacement requested. The peppercorn ny strip steak cooked med rare as requested was tasty but tough to slice. The prime ny strip cooked med well as requested as well but still tough to cut into had to keep dragging the knife and not flavorful at all. The filet mignon cooked perfect but missing flavor. The brocc...maybe some like it aldente i guess you'd call it but i had to press harder with my knife to cut off a floret. The brussel sprouts with bacon were hard and dry and not very flavorful i left them on the table. The lobster bisque roux was dark and way too strong almost a scorched flavor. I had it packed to go with my steak but it sat in the fridge at home i threw it out. . I didn't even eat the rest of my steak and i had more than half left. I took maybe 3 bites off it and got frustrated trying to cut it and just the lack of grilled flavor. Can't recall the issue with the mushrooms one guest ordered but they returned and replaced with creamed corn and didn't like that either but kept it. I ordered the Oscar streak topping asparagus hollandaise crab. i paid $15 for this and there was barely any crab meat in it. I didn't complain though. Eventually the waiter asked if i wanted more topping and i accepted hoping to get more crab meat this time which i did so that was better. I got chocolate cake for dessert and ate all of it but it was dry even with the frosting all over it. We kept the majority of our food despite being very unhappy. We just didn't want to be the complaining table or make the waiter feel harrassed or like we were trying to be cheap but spending that much money and leaving ready to go eat somewhere else was a total let down. I won't recommend

I'm always extremely pleased to come here for birthday. I get the filet mignon, my boyfriend gets the bone in ribeye. Since covid, they have changed bring out the tomato plate, but our waiter did bring some out to us. My filet was extremely tasteful, but my boyfriends bone in, he said was not as good. Too much gristle.
The creamed spinach was not hot, just warm.
The service is always wonderful.

For years, I thought this place was a strip club. Because of the name. Imagine my surprise to find a classic and classy table cloth steak restaurant. The only stripper there was my my NY Strip! We had dinner here New Years Eve. Food was fantastic and so was the service. My steak was perfectly cooked and wildly delicious. This was my first visit, but wow, we ll be back!

Such a great restaurant with a nice ambience. We had our Company Dinner here and hands down, great customer service, and amazing food, especially the steaks! So mouthwatering, tender, cooked to perfection. Must try it with the flaming salt. Takes it to another level. Surprisingly, I had room for dessert and got the Creme Brulee. A nice light dessert with great flavor. All the cakes looked good too but just way too much dessert for me. The single slice cakes can easily feed 2-3 people, that's how big those slices were. Definitely recommend Silver Fox to everyone.
