DELICIOUS and reliable. Let me start off by saying that my husband doesn't really like cake. We planned on having just a small cake for us to cut and mostly a dessert display. After going to a few other places to try their cake, we were still in that mindset. However, when my husband tasted Short Street Cakes, he asked if we could have a cake buffet at our wedding. IT IS THAT GOOD! So that's what we did. They were helpful and accommodating and even managed a seamless transition when switching owners. Our cakes were decorated beautifully and tasted amazing. In fact, we actually had a LINE of guests waiting to try the various cakes on our buffet; a first for the venue and my wedding planner. Thank you so much Short Street Cakes for making our wedding so sweet!

The sweet potato cake is my favorite! Cakes from Short Street are always so very fresh, moist, with excellent flavor and texture! Their variety of flavors makes this an excellent spot for food lovers. They are also spectacular to use for events. Highly recommend for weddings.

I'm very disappointed. I heard great things about this place, so I thought I would get my wedding cake here. I described how I wanted the cake, and they did nothing relating to it. My wedding had sunflowers so it was really important to me that i have a few fresh sunflowers on it, and they put a pile of orange flowers on it! I also asked for a certain texture in the icing which they said yes they would do, and when I saw it, it was completely different. I was just so disappointed in this place. They do not listen to what you want. Why pay for something if they are just going to make what THEY want.....NOT worth what I spent at all!

I have several food allergies and a friend decided to surprise me with an allergy-friendly small wedding cake from Short Street. She called several bakeries first who refused to bake it because of the numerous allergies I have. Short Street said they could and "do it all the time." Wrong. If you have Celiac or other severe food allergies, DO NOT TRUST THIS ESTABLISHMENT. My friend was diligent, calling several times to make sure the ingredients they used were free of X and Y and I even called once more before taking a bite and was told "It's free of <said allergens>" After one bite, I was in an ambulance 20 minutes later, off to spend the evening of my wedding day at the ER.

When we contacted the bakery to discuss this matter, something became clear. Not one knew what on Earth they were doing. Over several phone calls, texts, and emails, we were told "It's vegan, so it can't have nuts," "the order only said gluten-free not nut free" and "all the gluten-free ingredients are vegan and therefore are free of canola oil" on top of being given 3 different suppliers of their chocolate from various staff members. Eventually, we got a copy of the invoice that didn't list anywhere my life-threatening allergies. To top it all off, the manager/owner actually said "I don't see why this is my problem" when my friend called to complain. They did refund my friend her money back, but now I'm stuck with hundreds of dollars in medical bills because of Short Street's incompetence.

These guys are genius. They baked a delicious wedding cake for my daughter's reception that looked so elegant and simple. It was decorated just beautifully, and tasted fantastic. Most all of the cake was consumed that night, but we did have some left over because we had ordered and additional sheet cake since we had been warned that it will be gobbled up. Great group of folks there, and lots of fun to work with. Loved it!!

I ordered a lemon pound-cake & a key lime pie for my Mother's Birthday celebration last Fri 8-21-20.The cake was cracked in the middle & the decor was not very pretty for $38. However, the cake tasted good. The major problem was with the Key Lime Pie! It was mushy & soft and when we attempted to cut it after it being refrigerated for 48 hours it stuck to the sharp knife & looked like a mess! It also didn't taste like any key lime pie I've ever had & the consistency was definitely wrong. When we called to tell them our problem they stated we would've had to bring it back on Sat. when we hadn't even cut it yet? He said they gave no refunds or exchanges & didn't even apologize for the taste, mushiness etc!! If you're charging $32 for a pie then it better be right & taste great!! They have lost a loyal customer who had spent a lot at their bakery! They're practicing bad business by not working with us for a solution & it partially ruined my Mom's Birthday celebration! Buyer beware!

I had ordered a med sized cake for a party for a very special little girl at my job. I was semi vague when I came in about the design or theme. I mentioned the girl liked Van Gogh and abstract art but had no real direction for a design idea. We ended up going with a Lord of the Rings theme. When I came to pick up her cake, the two designs I picked were on there, but absolutely nothing else. A grey line that resembled a dragon, and a black emblem. That was it! No color or anything else. It was so just plain. When I spoke to a lady about there being no color, her response was "you didn't ask for color". Thou I specifically remember her saying there would be mountains. Basicaly, I paid in total around 60$ for a plain white cake with two designs anyone could have drawn. She did put color on it after asking. I came in excited about a nice cake, and left almost crying bc of the lack of care for the cake and price I paid.
