Shoprite Supermarket Review

I found everything I needed and my Cashier and bagger were very helpful, I was pleasantly greeted by a worker whom I believe stocks merchandise near the pharmacy

This location holds up the same standards as all of the family owned locations. It fills the void of a local supermarket with a variety of good quality products (food, produce, etc.). The staff provides great customer service keeping in tradition with the Shop-Rite brand.

I go every once in a while they usually are packed but the checkout lines move very fast

It is easy to get to. The atmosphere could be better. Workers need to be more helpful, respectful. Public need manners. What happened to excuse me and thank you?

Favorite place to shop for food. GREAT VEGAN OPTIONS

The store is clean, large selection of merchandise and reasonably priced items

No complaints. Love that you can grab a slice of pizza while you shop so you dont shop while hungry and spend an arm and leg lol

Awesome store. However the customer service is deplorable. It doesn't matter who you are, they are mean and rude and never look at customers in the face. Today the lady at the customer service counter. I didn't get her name was particularly rude to me. Serious customer service training is needed at this location.

This ShopRite is always HORRIBLE.... I always get the things I need at a great price but customer service is ALWAYS TERRIBLE... Almost everytime I shop here I have to call customer service on their employees

Going to the Western Union was fast speedy fast service

Shoprite bakery is .. This location is convenient but my go to is the Kearny location. Love that this location sales Halal products. Crowded at times but I don't mind it gives me time to pick up little things.

Great selection of meats, a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, wonderful hot . It can be crowded at certain times of the month but the express line goes very quickly comma they have a pretty polite and helpful staff there. Are not too many options for food shopping in the area so considering their prices are pretty good.

Love shopping here can be very crowded in the evening with long lines but I always find everything I need. Best time to go in the morning.

Love the prices. Always love to shop here. Products fresh too , meat, bake goods, everything fresh. Strawberries I always get for my baby. She loves it and they are sweet like sugar

I'm proud of this Shoprite in Newark. It's always well stocked (except on their busiest days of course). They even have a few items that I haven't seen in other locations

I wanted to give this Shoprite a good rating due to it's large size & variety. However, the people that shop here make the experience horrible. I'll end of a positive note, the employees are EXCELLENT! Very helpful & know that store like the back of their hands.

It has a nice big parking lot and plenty of actual cashiers! Saturdays are crowded but during the week is fine!

It had some things I wanted but not all. The checkout line was a little slower, but due to the eperdemic that should be understandable

Good costomer care, parking lot,taxi came in for those who might need them. Nice atmosphere to shop in,good price too.

This is my first time in this branch. I didn't know there is shoprite in Newark. Tomato sauce cost me over$2.00 in my area, but shoprite can can sale i got 12 cans of tuttoroso tomato sauce under $9.00.

This Supermarket is Awesome!!! The bakery is great fresh baked everything & so delicious. The deli & seafood department is very nice. The produce department is Amazing as well as the prepared foods department with a full variety of very delicious food. And there front end check out department is the Most Amazing Experience , pleasant cashiers & baggers who make sure that your visit was nothing other than Amazing!!!

I've always loved Shoprite! There prices were always the lowest!!

Fresh attractive products. Not so friend staff and vulgar with the language, but knowledgeable on where to find the items I looked for.

On line shopping is the bomb!!!! You can have it delivered or you can pick it up at store. Perfect for busy moms, seniors, disabled!!!

I really like this shoprite. It's well lit, clean and cozy. The buffet food is delicious. The soups are very good.

It's usually a madhouse but the lines move fast and you should find just about everything you need. Hope it's on sale though.

A well stocked supermarket with competitive prices and good sales. Its clean and always open.

Newest supermarket in area, good for sticking up, holidays. Crowds from all over, log jams , good varieties , but be careful of small kids and irate women, for a good cart steerer.

Every time I come to Jersey, I gotta come to the Newark ShopRite! Awesome bakery, hot bar, and variety of small business products. crowded as hell, but why wouldn't it be? It's a treat all around!

They have everything, always stocked. Soups salads hot sandwiches it's always clean.

Quick checkout, friendly cashier, helpful staff.. I love their hot buffet, as well as their fruit buffet.. one of my favorite places to stop

The store is very clean. It had a variety of goods. I used the food bar. I am very satisfied with the selection. Eady to shop.

I think the staff is good it's just when you get to the cashier they don't have enough cashiers open very frustrating they're nice and screws on the attitude of some of the employees that work there and more fast service on the cashiers

The store itself is great, but the check out lines are a killer especially in the late afternoon/evening or on weekends.

They have handicap parking in front and handicap accessible entrance to the store. This location also has delivery or pick up services here.. I recommend if you are in rush and have issues standing in lines order online and either pick up or delivery. Best hours to shop in store is the am.

It's cool. Big, clean. Lines moved quickly. The sale prices this week weren't that great.

Quite safe... (for Newark). Very clean & neat. This place is a family reunion spot for me. I run into people I haven't seen since the 70's every time I visit here.

Really nice store. Beautiful produce. However, no beer or wine. Gentleman at the hot sandwich counter was great. Went out of his way to help me because I was from out of town. Highly recommended.

Live in the area and its so convince to go to. The bakery department is fast and respectful. The deli department need some more training in cutting.

I was able to shop early morning and get all the things needed. Staff was very helpful when I got to register and there was a price difference on one item, only waited a few minutes for me to get the lower price.

The store is beautiful, well stocked, and the employees are always friendly and efficient. The seafood department is my favorite part they cook all the food they sell and it's really good. Their assistant manager Joseph is very knowledgeable about all the seafood they sell, and will suggest the best pieces.

Somebodv shud c to it that u shudnt hv to wait in a line to pay for ur seafood 1st then return n hv to wait again. its a turn off for me.

Just to crowded need more cashews, overall I love it..

There is a large selection of all kinds of foods, they are always stocking up. The people that work there are friendly and helpful. I only thing is it's always crowded, except towards the end of the month, then you can shop more comfortably.

It was over crowded and not enough cashiers. That's dangerous especially during COVID. The lines were all the way down the aisle
