Messy, dirty store with unhelpful associates. I've never heard so much complaining, and i heard it throughout the store. Terrible environment.

I have grown up in shop rites all over Bergen county and this is by far the worst one of the stores I ve been to. It hardly ever has exactly what I need or what I want. Either they just ran out, or they didn t order it at all that week. The only reason I keep coming back is because it is by far the closest shop rite to my house, but I wish there was another option. Two stars because it is mostly clean and the workers are nice. Other than that, it is a poorly run business establishment.

Clean, good selections, fruit and vegetables are great

It was not crowded like it usually is so it was good.

Typical ShopRite. Parking lot can get crowded sometimes. Frozen food can melt while waiting on long lines.

Love it! Clean, lots of items and everyone is nice (workers and customers)! Great prices. We spend half then if we went to Stop and Shop and the quality is always better.

Very spread out, liquor store in the same strip. Friendly staff, good bakery

A lot of the produce did not look pleasing at all. Overall its okay.

Stopped in for a few items around six p.m. wasn't very busy. As a new customer, the store wasn't easy to navigate. At least the cashier was nice and the lines to check out were short.

Honestly the employees are so miserable and they are rude. They rather talk among themselves than help customers.

Love the local products they carry and the fresh salsa bar.

Shopping mid-afternoon seems to be the answer. Virtually no lines at the checkouts.

It has gotten so bad in the last year. They never have everything you need, bathrooms are filthy and as usual no baggers. I do my bulk shopping at the Nutley Shop Rite now and just go to the Lyndhurst one for a few items cuz it's a block away

Got a birthday cake special ordered w less than 24 hrs they had it made and it was delicious. Chocolate cake w cannoli filling

My go to shoprite. They have everything and the staff is very good. Great from home shopping. Produce us always on point

It's always crowded at this ShopRite and I've yet to understand why. It's not a bad grocery store, but it's not great either.

Great location easy access lots of parking never have a problem there

Very crowded regardless of what time you shop. The deli department doesn't have the pre-made sandwiches and comveinently packaged other locations offer withe the exception of some cold cuts. There is not much at all in the way of savings such as random items on sale in each section.

Overall the store is clean and presentable but the layout is not the most user friendly. Not very budget oriented and a very crowded parking lot to boot.

Am disabled senior. Gary, head of Dairy Dept, helped me find my Brown Cow Yogurt -(Maple flavor with cream on top). This was the only store in area with Brown Cow. Manager sooo very helpful. I use driving cart. There is always one available. Courtesy desk helped me find my items at each aisle. Luv Shoprite now. Thanks. Iv

Usually have no problem with shop rite but it is unacceptable buying a soup that was over 7 months expired today. They customer service person said no problem bring it in and we ll exchange it, but that point is I should not have to. This is unacceptable. I know most stores that sell food have freshness reports and even inventories to be accountable. How did this go so long be undetected and not found? I guess I ll be more careful when shopping. It won t be my last time shopping in this shop rite but I know it will be if this happens again.

It's always busy whenever I go and never enough registers open.

If you hate this shop-rite; don't walk into any of them ! Or Just get the cash and establish a supermarket of you own !!

They have a large parking lot. They have a salad bar, hot food and a soup bar. They bake fresh Italian bread twice a day. Store is clean staff very helpful. Bathrooms are clean and easy accessible not like other shop rites. Meat department will cut your meat the way you want it cut free of charge.

Great fresh homemade foods and soups. And a pretty good all around verity of food, price are to me average. Their milk and eggs and meat are pretty descent. As Well.. I enjoy shopping their.

Staff at the Self-Checkout were very helpful. This store is one of the most clean, clear and organized. I drive 11 miles just to shop here.

One of my favorite ShopRites around the area. Others are better and newer but around here you can't beat it. Produce prices are high compared to farmer market nearby but overall it good. Been going to this ShopRite since it was on vallybrook.

I love this place they always have what I need from the Produce department all the way to the dairy department and the department mgr are always helpful especially the diary mgr so nice thank you I will be coming back

I recently switched out my Kearny ShopRite for the Lyndhurst ShopRite for many reasons. This ShopRite is big, clean and well organized. Includes a nice flower shop with lots to choose from. I can move around without actually feeling like I m bumping carts. I do like that they have a wider selection of organic produce. I ve encountered quite a few friendly employees. Parking is a little tight though.

The outside lines during COVID season can get quite long but they do try to get you in there within a reasonable amount of time.

Was refused service by older staff in deli section.

Good clean store with helpful staff. Lady behind the fish counter was a little curt (but honestly it helped keep the line moving).

Always has the best variety and the freshest produce in the area. Never disapointed. Their ever growing selection of organic products is a must see.

Very convinient, all my needs are there. Price is good, staff and cashiers are nice. Parking is big.

I do not like shopping at this store. Everyone is rude. A guest looked right at me, moved his cart to block me, and made me go a different way. And I asked an employee where something was in the store, first she ignored me and then rudely asked me follow-up questions. They made checking out so easy. This I really like.

The store was almost empty at 8:10pm through the week

The Wallington store is nicer, cleaner and offers a better shopping experience. Believe it or not, the cash register died before the cashier began processing my order.
Instead of moving us to the register next to us, they made me wait while the register rebooted. After 5 minutes they finally decided to go to a different register.

During the weekends they raise prices without checking the quality of the product :(

Great place truly brings back a lot of memories from child hood days

Ample self checkout, spacious store. Only downside is that the cheeses section has a really bad smell sometimes.

Holidays can be stressful and food shopping during these busy times can really drive you nuts. From finding a parking spot to pushing through choked isles, good staff and good customer service are what can make the difference in making the entire grocery shopping experience bearable and maybe even a pleasure. Shoprite of Lyndhurst, NJ is that place.
I grew up in New Jersey, Newark actually and my mom is still there. Visiting for the Thanksgiving from my new home in FL, I accepted the offer to help cook dinner. Mom lives across the street from a supermarket, but she insists we drive 10 miles away, across 4 towns to this Shoprite. Why?
Is it the sheer size and vast availability of products? Can it be the freshness and quality of it's produce? Perhaps the reason she passes over two other Shoprites is because of the professionalism and efficiency of its staff...I think it's all of them and more.
During our visit we filled TWO shopping carts with stuff, we stopped several employees to ask for help and were treated with courtesy and respect, not just by floor members but especially by my cashier, Crystal, she was amazing.
I missed my mom so much so this was such a good way to bond and spend time with her. Thank you Shoprite of Lyndhurst.
