Shoprite Lyndhurst Review

Always liked this ShopRite. Food is always fresh. They make their own sausage and it is the best. Always crowded unless you go early in morning.

Parking lot is a nightmare. Service (cashiers) are always slow (no matter what time of day it is.) Don't try to do a fast run in and out because it's not going to happen.

this place, everyone goes there in town (but me because it was built on an old chemical plant and the ground is still toxic IMO). They have a lot of great stuff, but they are crowded, the parking lot is full of people who cannot park/drive well, and the deli always has a line.

Love it but dont go on saturdays sold out alot of items

Good store for the most part some employees are not so nice sometimes. Their bakery is really good though.

What a great store & the employees are fabulous. Bring back the music ' makes shoppong fun.

Vinny makes very nice cakes!!!! They also make very yummy treats at the bakery

They ran out of stuff like skippy peanut butter reduce fat.

This shoprite is clean and well stocked...the parkinglot gets hectic though

For now there is no water ... No rice ... less alcohol. But I found other products. Good luck !!

Debbie in the floral department was so nice and helpful. She went above and beyond to help me pick and buy the perfect flowers for my daughter in law's bridal shower. Thanks to her everyone loved the floral arraignment I made. I couldn't have done it without Debbie's help. She is a great person and employee. I will definitely buy more flowers in the future.

Very nice selection very clean , staff is excellent but the deli dept is the best especially kyle,crystal,Margaret allen,just wonderful workers

Good place for food drinks ect. Easy pickup if you shop on line convenience for food shopping prices are excellent my best place

They have discontinued a lot of the products one (The consumer) is used to buying. It is pandemic in all the Shoprite stores. Then they wonder why they have to close down.

Layout is ULTRA confusing if this isnt your normal ShopRite!! Its like they took a floor plan of basically any/every ShopRite ever and then mirrored and flip flopped everything is around, and that's the way they then arranged the store! LoL. Overall, not too bad, they even had a few of the items that I consider "hard or impossible to find" at my usual store!

I would like to write a review for my cashier Tom. I had the pleasure of him being my cashier today and I have to just say..... I find him very delightful! He s definitely a keeper!

I love this place they always have what I need from the Produce department all the way to the dairy department and the department mgr are always helpful especially the diary mgr so nice thank you I will be coming back

Neat, Clean, well laid out & lots of Parking. Staff is cheerful and friendly. Overall atmosphere - really good. Great prices - and diverse choices. Their in-house bakery section is awesome ! ....and so is their flower shop - right next to the entrance. Enjoy visiting this grocery store !

Close and convenient for me, prices are okay too. Didn't have to wait in line very long, only thing is store looked messy.

Great selection, good prices freindly cashiers....once you get to them!!! Checkout time can take awhile.

Clean and organized. Prices can usually be beat if you shop around. Lines can get long. Usually crowded.

I was almost overcharged by $4 for one of my items check your receipt this has happened to me several times

Usually going to ShopRite isn't a problem, but on Monday, May 7, my mother and I had an argument with an employee about rotisserie chicken. So on that particular day, my mom left work early because she was sick, and after I came home from school, she told me we had to go to ShopRite. I have a license, so I drove her to ShopRite. We were able to find everything we needed EXCEPT for the chicken, which we couldn't grab because it wasn't ready. So we finished with our shopping, and at checkout Mom tells me to go and quickly see if the chicken is ready. I go, and a female employee behind the hot foods counter tells me that it isn't, but it will be in 5 minutes, assuring me that I will get the first chicken done. (When we first checked, she said half an hour.) So I waited, standing there and letting other people order food. 5 minutes go by... then 10... then a total of 20 minutes pass and the chicken still isn't done. My mom forgot her phone at home, so I couldn't call her to tell her why I wasn't finished yet. She comes in and demands to know why the chicken isn't prepared. The woman says yet again that the chicken is still being cooked. (She then mutters, "Why don't I just give them raw chicken?" in such a nasty voice.) My mom hears this and snaps, yelling at the lady and asking her why she is so rude. The woman gets mad, and my mom finds the manager. Even he can't tell us what temperature the chicken is at, or why it isn't finished. We walked out of ShopRIte, furious. I still can't understand why ShopRite can't cook their chicken everyday, when Costco can, and gets more customers. Step up your game Lyndhurst ShopRite, because my family has relied on you multiple times and you had NOTHING that Monday! Terrible service!

The reciever is very moody ....not polite at all , however , Rudy and Felix run the produce dept and they are amazing .....very helpful and polite, patient with the customer ....and I gotta give it to the staff .....even the staff with special needs ......Rudy has special touch and patience with them ....and he makes them understand the job .... otherwise it's a great store ....great hambers , and buffet food is good too ....store is very clean .....bathrooms ect .....pleasure to visit and shop

Not my favorite, dark, not a place I would normally shop for food, not impressed

Basically the same as any other ShopRite. Would like to see a larger selection of frozen foods.

Love this store. I'm a customer for at least 10 years. The lady in the seafood department is SO nice I love her. Good prices, decent customer service, big selection of products, organic, good produce, spanish products, etc. I'm a fan

Needs improvement in the cold cuts area. It's dated. Not enough cashiers and baggagers.

Always well stocked but always packed. That really is the downside bc it's always so busy.

Plenty of parking, wheelchair accessible, very good bakery (get there early in the day), helpful staff, open late.

Very spacious ShopRite. The donuts did not look as good as the ones at the Bloomfield,NJ location.

The kids running the self checkout was very helpful. They offered to bag our grocery. Very nice if them. I didn't trust them so I bagged them myself.

The ShopRite also has a ShopRite liquor but not connected. Worth going to complete special event dinners.

Perfect store clean well organizede good deal at nursery and flowers departman.

In two different occasions I forgot a box of baby diapers and some other things in the shopping cart at the parking lot and both times they had it saved when I came back next day
They are very loyal to their customers!!!!

It never has everything available when they open. No rotisserie chicken no 85% hamburger patties. Maybe they should open later than 7am

They sell food at reasonable prices. Never have to wait long on a line.

Pharmacy is great, they work harder than any other I know. The deli section always has a great choice of hot food already to bring to the table. Great employees. One of the best ShopRites around.

Shopped with my daughter today and was very Happy to find an item that I can not find in my ShopRite back home in Asbury Park, cheese Babka, thank you ShopRite of Lyndhurst!!

Store doesn't look fine outside but they have everything with a low prices, well done

The store is clean and well lit. The fruits and vegetables are clean and fresh, and well organized. Then it gets a little disorganized. Body and Bath soaps are in one area, the soaps to clean the bathroom are on the other side of the store. Sometimes an item, i.e. Au gratin potatoes, get about 2 feet wide of space on 2 shelves. So be prepared to ask where things are. There is a tremendous variety of items, and the cold cuts and butchers areas are always stocked. Good store, decent prices, you just need a map.

This place is super-convenience in terms of location to me, so I tend to go there often. Most of the staff are nice; that said, there are a few guys there who have a bit of a racist tinge - one white guy in particular with a shaved head who wears a bunch of second amendment pins. Maybe he's a nice guy who was just having a bad day but he was vocal with white customers and ignored people of color there. When asking about it, I learned that the employees are unionized so they can wear whatever they want and get away with quite a bit. I'm not saying I am cutting this place off entirely and will never shop there again, but I feel comfortable saying that driving out of the way to Aldi - which is cheaper anyway - is probably going to be happening a lot more now.

Today Feb 20, 2018, I bought cross bun, because I like it. Lucky me, it's manager's special $1.24 For 6 buns. UNLUCKY ME, I BELIEVE IT'S 7 DAYS OLD. IT'S IN LINE TO BE TRASHED. I WILL NEVER TRUST ANY MANAGER'S SPECIAL. I HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER SHOPRITE. THE PLACE SMELLS LIKE PEK PEK.

Not enough birthday cakes... selection is extremely small in comparison with Kearney

The price, the treatment and the taste. Not to mention wonderful.

Decent store but seems like everything you want or need is pushed back to the back on the top shelf and not one employee is ever around to assist you

Bakery says taking custom cake orders. So we placed a custom cake order. And it come nothing like the picture. Don't order custom cakes from here. They are just going to still your money.

Good for a quick morning pick up of a few items. Gets crowded later. Staff is not always that helpful.

Clean and helpful baggers, you don't get that often anymore. Love the computer to order your cold cuts so no waiting.
