Shipshewana Super 8 Motel Review

Nice enough clean room. Reasonably priced for the area.

Very clean rooms, at a cheap rate the continental breakfast wasn't bad either. Very positive experience

Only reason for not giving is it was way over due in a make over.

I've stayed here many times. It's the place I stay when I am in Shipshewana. When you walk in the rooms, they have a fresh, clean fragrance, not a musty, closed smell. I have NEVER had a problem with cleanliness here. The breakfast is not super deluxe but there is hot food that is nutritious and they are there constantly to keep it clean and well stocked. Nitin the owner/manager went out and bought battery cables to help get me going one morning when I left the lights on in my car. You can't ask for better service!

Stayed one night in mid Feb, with small dog. Bed seemed smaller than a queen but it was comfortable. Recliner was outdated and not particularly clean. Furniture in room mismatched and outdated. Smoke detectors all down the hallway were hanging open with no batteries inside. Dog potty area had large piles of dog poop all over, as well as an empty liquor bottle and a large pocket knife on the ground that looked like it was meant to be a weapon. Didn't feel safe taking dog out after dark. Reasonably priced, and free breakfast was decent enough, but less processed food would be nice for folks wanting to make healthier choices. We will probably stay again since it's the only pet friendly place in town, hopefully we'll have a better experience.

Clean and nice size room. Nice breakfast. It was a busy hotel. Could use better pillows and it was challenge to get the room temperature right but would stay here again.

This place is right next door to the Shipshewana Event Center, which is where most concerts are held. It's half the price of the other hotels and it's clean, with friendly staff. A value in my opinion.

We stayed on the second floor and missed having an elevator, but the staff helped carry our luggage up.

They did not tell me the price at checkin, and gave me a receipt that I consider to be outrageous. They never mentioned they charge $15 for pets until after they charged my credit card. They stopped serving breakfast at 9:00 a.m., and there were people who wanted to eat breakfast until 10:00 a.m.

These hotels are always accommodating. I really like staying at any Super 8. Plus my dogs are welcome.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The owners / managers are very present, keeping everything clean and well run!

Clerk at a little problem checking us in after that everything was excellent lot of choices at breakfast and the service was great. Plan to stay here multiple times in the future when we come back to Shipshewana

Everyone is very nice and informative. The rooms are clean.

Very clean, staff were friendly and accomodating. King sized bed or 2 beds would be better but the queen bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great comfort food biscuits and sausage gravy, cheeze omlettes and mini waffles. :)

The beds weren't excessively comfortable, there was no elevator to the second floor, but the breakfast eggs were great. It was a decent night's stay so we could go to the flea market.

2nd worst hotel stay ever. Small bed, chairs very uncomfortable, poor service

This hotel has no air!!!!! Don't get me wrong, it is hanging on the wall under the window and running. Set on 63 and still blowing warm air!!! This is the 2nd time I have HAD to stay in a Super 8. I should have just slept in the car!!! Wyndham you really need to get it together. A 2 star hotel....really???

Room was very clean and so was the bathroom. Staff was pleasant and accomodating. Breakfast was complete. Nice location in the Amish countryside. Lots of things to do and see close by.

This place is clean neat and professional but most notably was the kindness of the staff starting with nitin the manager, manisha, all the way to mike the front desk clerk i would recommend this place to everyone

No pool.. same food for breakfast each morning. Cheesy egg, biscuits n gravy, fruit, yogurt, cereal, waffles, etc.. room was handicap but we didnt need it.. wasnt offered an alternative room. Bed was not comfortable for 2 people. Temp was nice, clerks were okay. There was a dog next door that wouldnt stop barking after mentioning it the dog continued to bark until late late evening.. would like to go again to shipshewana but likely wont stay here..

Needed handicap accessible room. In wheelchair. Had no handicap parking, wheelchair did not fit between the beds. No counter space in bathroom to put anything.

I have stayed at many Super 8 s and this one was one of the worst! Need badly updated, breakfast was poor, and the water you never knew when you turned it on if you were going to get scolding hot or ice cold. It went to one or the other while taking a shower. If there is nothing else available keep driving!

Great place to stay, very clean, very nice staff, great breakfast. Would highly recommend, we are commercial drivers. The Allens from Missouri.

TV was satellite and the reception was horrible. Breakfast was so so

There was hair on the sheets and in the shower. In the sink there was hair and on our pillow cases. The manager was very rude. I would not stay back there at all.

Great breakfast and right across the street from the flea market and auction. The room was clean and comfortable, but could be updated a little.
