Where did customer service go? I travel 5-6 days per week training in different cities. I typically stay in Marriott/Starwood properties. I am what they consider the highest level of loyalty Platinum Premiere Elite with Ambassador Service . What does that mean? This year alone I have spent over 100 nights and over $20,000 US in this hotel chain. That privilege level is supposed to grant me an upgraded room whenever I check into a hotel. Tonight I check into the Sheraton Stamford Hotel and the clerk says they have suites available, the hotel is nearly empty, but she can t upgrade me. Think about this, I pay more to this hotel chain every year than some people earn in a year, and they won t upgrade me to a better room when they clearly have one available. Doing that little thing would make a loyal customer happy and cost the hotel nothing. This is a perfect example of how you should not treat your loyal clients.

Facilities are attractive and clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. We had a problem with our booking but Paul and the other hotel staff invested a lot of time and effort and secured the rooms we needed. He didn t need to help us but he did- that s customer service when it counts. Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent staff! Location is great. Restaurant is open til 11 on weekdays, midnight on weekends. Bar is open one hour later which is great for late arrivals, plus a 24 hr mini store with limited items. Concierge lounge is solid with comp breakfast in a.m. and evening beer/wine, snack foods, veggies and cheeses. 24 fitness center, as well!

Nice, clean property located close to the train station with shuttle transportation. Great place to stay and hold meetings. As with all SPG properties, staff is incredibly courteous and helpful. For a quick bite, the bar is open late. There's also myriad options a short uber/cab ride away.

Worst Hotel Staff I've ever experienced and I travel a lot as well as stay at mostly Marriott properties. Hotel and room were good, but the staff were just rude and not professional. I wouldn't stay here again unless I was forced to.

rooms With bad quality toilet paper, not so good bath experience with the showers that they have, bed and furniture are old and needs change. Not many Options in the room for amenities or any other product in the refrigerator or coffee. I received two cards to enter the room one of which didn t work I m glad I took both with me. Poor quality restaurant and unclean cafeteria. it s a good location but not enough reason to stay here...

Decent hotel with easy access to highway and train. Shuttle is a nice perk. Rooms need to be updated and items aren't replaced as fast as I thinkt hey should be (tvs / pillows / furniture), but overall a clean hotel worth the stay.

The stay at the Sheraton Hotel was surprisingly pleasant. When you first walk there is a touch screen display that you can use to locate you event. Best part is there's also a map that is displayed to help you locate where the event is being held. There were public desktops available to use if you needed them. Staff there were friendly and went out of there way to assist in anyway possible. My time there was very pleasant. Almost forgot to mention you'll have to pay for the parking lot unfortunately however it's a reason rate. $15 will net you the entire day.

Getting to the place was easy, it's not far from the center of town. You can easily walk to all the main parts. Reception was very friendly and helpful, check in and out was a breeze. My only issue was that the shower didn't drain well. Otherwise everything was clean and orderly!

I came out for a convention and was greatly pleased with the staff and how well kept the hotel was. It was my first time here but the convention has been coming back for years, must say something about the place!

Stopped in for a bite at the Sheraton restaurant and was served by Brian, a fantastic young man. If there were any omissions with our meal, he would instantly make it right. The entire staff are friendly and will go out of there way to assist you with whatever you need. The Sheraton in Stamford Ct is an excellent place to stay.

I was there for the Connecticut Salsa Festival on Memorial Day Weekend and had the pleasure of staying at this Marriott hotel. Excellent hospitality and excellent service. Check in was a breeze even with a full lobby. The staff was super courteous and very professional and the facilities are top notch. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future :)

The worst Sheraton I have stayed at. If I could give them half a star I would. The following are the reasons why:
Customer service- don t expect to be greeted upon check in or check out. Just be ready for blank stares to look at you until you say hello first because they re too busy on their phones.
Cleanliness-not really much to say except when I woke up there were ants (shows how much they vacuum or clean the rooms).
Phone answering- no one answers the front desk phone so hopefully you don t need anything.
There are plenty of other hotels in the vicinity so I recommend NOT staying at this Sheraton and going somewhere else.

Everyone was lovely and very helpful ! The gentleman at the Front Desk was courteous and kind to my and my partner. There was a problem with the height of the bed, it was too high for my partner, who is immobile. But we ran into a lady, Roxie and, when we told her about this issue, she immediately contacted someone to come help us. Her empathy and promptitude were outstanding.
We went downstairs to have dinner in the bar area and, after a while, Mr. Paul Willaims came to let us know that the problem was resolved and that the bed was fixed. This made my partner's and my stay care-free and we applaud the service of the staff, particularly the ones I mentioned.
We will definitely return to this hotel and we recommend it to anyone visiting Stamford.

It was clean, friendly and a decent location. Trouble with room key each day, any time it was in the vicinity of a magnet we had to get a new room key. We were there for 3 days and each day we needed a new room key. The pool wasn't very large. The bed was very high but very comfortable. The bath room was very small but supplied everything we needed. The room service was a bit expensive but VERY delicious.

In town for a event, this weekend, hotel was in a great location, staff was great, had a 6 year old with me she had a great time. Only draw back was 60 percent of the TV channels were not clear, (all the kid channels) I would stay again, but would have loved the Kid channels to work.

An excellent stay. Beautiful room. Comfortable bed with pillows of varying densities... Including my favorite super squishy feather! Variable spray shower head in a beautiful stand-up tile shower. Courteous and helpful staff. I actually got mad because I didn't get to spend any time in the lobby areas. They're extremely beautiful and inviting. Next time I go I will make sure to spend time in the public space.

The hotel is older but we'll maintained and the rooms are well kept up. In fact the rooms are fairly nicer than the other hotels in the same area. My complaints are that while the bar food is good, it's expensive compared to local restaurants and other hotel bars. So you'll have to budget aggressively or plan on going out. Props for having a clean gym but it's small and can get cramped very quickly. Overall this is good choice and if my primary choice isn't available I have no issues staying here.

The WiFi is miserable, even at the "premium" level. The shower design gets water everywhere and the single tiny shelf stinks.

However the staff is super friendly, Maurice at the bar is always a pleasure, the folks up front are great, and the rooms are always clean. The fitness center is well equipped, and they've even added a couple of peloton bikes since the last time I visited. Fix the wifi and this place would be excellent.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. We were on the 6th floor. The view wasnt great but rooms are neat. The service is great and the food is pretty good. The hotel is near many restaurants and their is also a mall. Everything is within walking distance. Overall my stay was great.

Was very disappointed for multiple reasons.

Was very disappointed for multiple reasons.
1) Checked in and was given a key to a room on the very end of the 5th floor (wrong floor, wrong room). The booking was for the club level floor on 9th or 10th floors. Carrying a heavy suitcase after a 14 hour flight on the carpet down the hall, back to the elevator and to the correct floor was very tiring. Staff never asked if I needed help with bags. They did not even have the proper room for me and had me stay in the wheelchair access room on the club floor.
2) During an event at the bar, I won a dinner for two. Never did I hear back from the staff about this. I even had one of the bartenders remind the staff at the checkin desk.
3) Company paid for 5 nights, yet I was charged an extra night on my credit card. This is unacceptable. I was not notified of the charge when checking out and this charge should not have been charged in the first place. The worst part, the hotel took close to a month to finally refund it back. I mean how was I staying at the hotel if all nights were not paid for?
The front desk staff need to go through some basic training again.

On another note, the bar staff were all WONDERFUL. Staff at the Club Lounge were all great too. If I had a choice, I would come to the bar to eat and drink again, but not stay at this establishment when visiting Stamford next.
