The lobby area is gorgeous with a bar, restaurant, and Starbucks all immediately inside from the parking garage. The only draw back to the place is the parking garage, which is fairly cramped and a $16 flat rate per day if you don't get a room. The rooms were likewise wonderful and well kept.

We used the Sheraton solely as accommodations for our wedding, and it was not the easiest experience. Barbara did not always seem to have the best answers, or was contradicted by another employee (sales manager). She was not always as responsive as she could have been, or accommodating (did not feel like we were consistently getting good deals - often required my father to intervene). Because our wedding coincided with other events which the Sheraton was housing, I felt like they were easily flustered or we got lost in the shuffle. The one redemption was the shuttle driver, who was the best!

It's a business hotel, and a perfectly adequate one at that. If you've got status (Platinum), you've got access to the lounge, which has the usual breakfast (6-9) and drinks (6-9, pm this time), and is par for the course.
Pleasant staff, clean, and welcoming, not much more that you could ask for...

We have stayed here multiple times for swim meets. While the rooms aren't the fanciest, they are clean. If I was basing my rating on the rooms alone I'd probably go 3.5-4 stars. But the staff at the hotel, from housekeeping, to the front desk, and including the staff at the restaurant, are just fantastic. The service is friendly and prompt. This is an excellent location to walk to nearby shops, and easy access on and off of the highway. There is a breakfast buffet that has a great selection to start your day off. They also have a local shuttle service to get you to nearby locations.

I stayed at the hotel for a gaming convention. The room was impeccably clean and fresh, bed super comfortable, plenty of pillows, and quiet. The air conditioning worked well and was quiet. My only complaint was that there was only a privacy curtain rather than a blackout curtain. The staff were accommodating to me for an early check in and a late check-out, even when I went past the deadline. The hotel bar was expensive. There was a dinner at the convention and the food was just okay, but maybe that was based on what was ordered. I would definitely stay here again when not so pressed for time, take advantage of the fitness room and/or indoor pool.

I've stayed at this hotel like 50 times and the staff are so nice . The lobby is luxurious and the food is pretty good. The rooms are always nice and it's in the right location in downtown to walk to a lot of places.

The location is great, just a couple blocks from the shopping centre. The hotel looked very nice, upscale. The lobby was very clean and neat. The room was very clean. The bed was so comfortable! They have complimentary starbucks coffee you can make in your room, and water. The restaraunt inside the hotel is good as well. The quesadillas were great and the chicken fingers as well. The breakfast buffet was great, you can order your omelette any way you like. It does cost you though for the buffet. No complimentary breakfast here. Overall a great experience for my first time in Connecticut.

Housekeeping will not return your items if you leaving there. Left go pro camera and the housekeeping manger who barely spoke English refuse to return camera. Do not leave your personal belongings unsecure. File complaint with Sheraton corporate and they did not do anything.

Very nice. Comfy beds! We are here for a youth soccer tournament and they are VERY nice about the kids being a little crazy. The multi floor man hunt game was no big deal which was a big relief to parents. They were good, but some places would make a big deal. Biggest issues were bar was abnormally expensive for beer. You re better off getting a strong mixed drink. And the parking is discounted but not free. Other than that, I was happy with the stay.

Friendly and great shuttle service. Bar and restrauant in house is pricey. Room left a little to be desired. Front desk didn't have contact solution. Would have expected a hot tub or sauna for the prices they are charging.

Was going to stop here to sleep on a roadtrip home from college with a friend. Both of us are 20 but saw age requirements no where on their website and had also stayed here previously over the summer when we did the same drive up to school. Upon check in they refused to let us stay despite letting us stay previously. Staff was unhelpful. Now we are stranded with no place to stay and all of our stuff in the car so we can't even sleep there. The Sheraton views us as kids but apparently are fine leaving us out on the street. Thanks a lot.

Edit: We did have a parent call and still were not allowed to stay so their reply is a blatant lie. We ended up staying at a Courtyard Marriot who is under the same Marriot umbrella as the Sheraton but don't kick out guests who just want to sleep after 7 hours of driving. Thanks for lying when replying to my review. Be careful if you want to stay here. These people are rude and total snakes. Neither I nor my friends families will ever be staying here again on any of our other trips driving up to or down from Maine.

In Stamford given the choices this is a fine hotel largely equivalent to the Marriott just down the street. Rooms are OK. Quite large by Asian or European standard. Staff is very helpful and made my stay more pleasant. Breakfast was good. I was quite satisfied.

Pleasant staff, great amenities and food and always a nice stay. Most comfortable beds of all the hotels I've visited in the local area. Super convenient location within walking distance of Stamford Town Center mall, downtown restaurants and shops and train station.

A very long awaited review. I have had the pleasure of staying, dining and host an event at this property.
Over years it has changed but one thing remained the same and that is service for most part.
I have used the Link, sat at the bar for dinner and most recently the breakfast service. The staff are unbelievably awesome.
Thanks to the very attentive Evelyn, Roxie, David and at the front desk Sebastian for their warm hospitality. I really enjoyed my 3 nights. See you guys soon.

BE AWARE FRAUD PLACE, I booked the room for 3 nights and was charged for 4 nights. When I came to manager couple days later after I checked out and told him that I was charged more, he told me that they charged extra night and it was an accident, and he acted like it is normal to charge a person for an extra night he didn't stay. I can't even imagine how many people were charged extra money and don't even realize it. The front desk personal is rude and should not work in hotel business. Overall place is very decent.

Attended Daymond John's business Academy seminar. Lower level meeting rooms were simple but nice. The only odd feature was all the structural columns in the room, that made it hard to see the speaker from some areas.

One nice factor was that we were able to sit in the lobby / lounge area for some informal networking. The hotel did not seem to mind, despite not being hotel guests.

Stayed for an event and had no complaints about the room or even the food prices at the restaurant, but the bar service was seriously slow and lacking. That was the single drawback to the whole stay.

Went away for the weekend. Stayed the night before at a Comfort Inn in Hartford. Reasonable price, King bed, mini fridge, internet, free parking, breakfast included. Sheraton Stamford was pricey and came with all the same things except you had to order breakfast and pay if you wanted it and they charged $12 to park!!! I can never understand why expensive brand hotels offer less for more price. We wouldn't stay here again. It just doesn't offer enough for what you pay. And the $12 parking is a joke.

Nice looking hotel with fairly recent decor updates. The curtains shut out the light effectively. Easy parking facility. Very loud room heater/AC unit; I was not the only person at the event who commented on how loud the HVAC in their room was. Thin doors -- you can hear everything in the hallway and bypassers can hear what's being said or TV in your room. Walls are not as thin as the doors, but it's not as quiet as I'd expected.

Good location, free street parking, clean room, comfortable king size bed, higher rooms better/updated, be patient at check in, had to wait till after 5pm for a room. Please request a better or higher floor room if you don t like the one given. Be patient with some front desk staff.

On a 10 day trip, this hotel was one of the best and a great price. Rooms are big and very clean. Beds were amazing, BIG and comfy. Me and family had the best sleep ever. Got an extra roll away bed for my son and it was a comfy twin. He loved it. If you looking for breakfast and not in a rush, drive up the road to New Rochelle Diner in Ny. Best breakfast ever!
