I reserved the river view room for 2 nights. I called back to add 1 day and was told I had to purchase 2 additional days. Was told a manager would call me back. No call. Had to spend the 1st night in Pittsburgh at another hotel. We just checked in and was told the room I reserved was over booked. Don't sell what you don't have to force people into what they don't want.

We attended a charity event that was heald at this location. The banquet room was very large and elegantly decorated. The tables were positioned a little to close together, making it difficult to navigate around the room, but that didn't ruin the night.
The food was excellent. The majority of the banquet servers were very nice and accommodating, however, there was one particular lady that was unpleasant and rude.
The hotel location was great, easy access, and had a very convenient parking garage located right across the street.
We would definitely go back to this hotel in the future.
Very bad. Terrible start! There was a plate with a rotten strawberry in the part of the ice machine, rotten that is to say, it is not known when was the last time that sector was cleaned. There was a graffiti on the head of the bed and trash under the bed. Breakfast little varied. They do not have their own parking.
I was at the hotel for the Pittsburgh Tattoo Expo, which was on the main floor. Even though there was a large crowd the event space was very clean, and the refreshments available were very good. I was overall very impressed with the space, and would go to events hosted here again.
Location is beautiful with a nice view of the river for dinner. Service and food were both great with a great Valentine's day dinner special, and there was lots of space for our large crowd.
This hotel is infested with mice and the rooms are filthy. Been here one day and myself and three other coworkers have had mice in our rooms. Hotel staff brush it off like its no big deal. They even told one coworker this had never happened before when I reported it happening in my room before he reported it.
We have had to switch rooms 3 times. Our requested room wasn't ready, then the supposed requested room had only two twin beds for 3 people. It took complaining to get a king with a roll out couch. Everything is under renovation, no amenities, and outrageous parking prices.
Stayed at this property for a concert adjacent to the hotel. I have stayed here in the past...several years ago for a conference and it was completely different. We stayed in a King Parlor Suite room overlooking the river. The room smelled musty, the bathroom had dirt and grime on toilet and air returns, paint chipping. I chalked it up as age and lack of deep cleaning....figured it was one night. At 5:00 am getting up to see a mouse run across the room was unacceptable. The management needs to look into ensuring customer service and safety is paramount. The bar area was nice if your having drinks with friends, good atmosphere, the desk staff was helpful as well. I emailed the manager and never heard back , have to admit...Im shocked. Not the quality I would expect from Sheraton or this property.
Super pleased with my stay here! Some of the friendliest staff I've encountered at a hotel, nice and clean room with a good view, and the location is great. It is a 15 minute walk into downtown but you are right by the lifts that take you up to the overlooks and you get a view looking at the skyline.
horrible experience i left 2 items in my room and they were never found ....i would never stay here again....staff was rude and management when i called about the forgotten items
Great location. Rooms are below average for Sheraton hotels. Staff was welcoming except the male desk clerk. The girls offered two guest checking in late check out at 4. The male offered me 2pm even with Gold status?
Magnificent view of downtown, especially at night. Nice lobby and bar/food area. Great location. Only drawback is that the rooms and amenities are quite "dated."
If I had the choice, I would not stay here again. Even on the "preferred floor", the housekeeping and room quality was sub-par for the price you pay. The hotel is just old and in need of some rennovations.
This was a great place to stay for our family trip to Pittsburgh. I really appreciated their free shuttle service to the local restaurants and shops. The concierge was also very friendly. Our girls loved splashing around in the big indoor pool. I will stay their again when we return.
Not great rooms for price and horrible customer service!! I typically never post reviews, but staying here has been a disaster. The room isn't super clean and had a bad smell. For the price, I've stayed at a lot better for less. Then the hotel restaurant, trackside...we grabbed lunch upon arriving before getting ready for a wedding . The service was so slow that we were almost late for the wedding. It took over 30 minutes to get a salad and flatbread. Then the next night, we wanted to watch college football (abc). The hotel doesn't get the ABC signal very well, which meant we couldn't watch our game...we went to a restaurant close by, but they didn't have setting for our 2 year old. We were tired and hungry so went back to the hotel restaurant just done for the night. The restaurant ended up being closed as they 'had 5 weddings'. Very frustrating when there is no sign posted in the lobby saying so. Then we went to the lobby bar to order food. The bartender looked at my husband standing at the bar, and proceeded to collect checks without even acknowledging him. Then when he tried to order she made comments about him ordering a lot of food for 2 people. This has been one entirely frustrating 'nicer hotel experiences I have ever been to. Will never go to a sheraton again!
Excellent service, comfortable room and a plethora of dining options nearby. This property has been maintained very well. Recommended, especially for business travel!
Beautiful riverfront hotel location. The staff were friendly and moved me to a room on an upper floor for a better view of the river without prompting. You also get great views of the city from a viewpoint on the 2nd floor and from the club level. Gym, whirlpool, pool access, and restaurant available on the ground floor. The free wifi was fast and reliable.
waited 20 plus mins to check in at 11:30 on a Friday night. one guy at the desk answering phones and checking people in. two people attending to a mostly empty bar. don t think they really have it together here. don t care if its a nice room, no recovery from this first impression
Nice views. My reservation got messed up but they did the best they could on a night when everything was near capacity. Other than that, I really have no complaints.
Here for a big 4 day event and was really surprised how unkempt the general areas are. I'm glad the hotel was full when we booked because I would not have been happy staying here. Trash left from the night before in the lobby. There were empty beer bottles, wine glasses, and take out containers left from the night before. I was here at 7 pm and came back at 6 am and the trash was still here. You really need someone constantly cleaning the general areas when you have a hotel as bug as this. Will not eat Here, I'm only here cause I have to be here for the event.
I stayed there over the weekend and, unfortunately, left an expensive article of clothing in the room before checking out. I called the VERY next day to check the lost and found to see if it had been turned in and it hadn't. I have been trying to call them back and either receive no answer or am being told that still nothing has been turned in. It has been two days-either it was stolen or thrown away.
It's a great hotel and very clean. The bed is soft and the room is maintained wary well. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi doesn't work well on certain devices at all and the TV has no way to plug in any HDMI device. I actually had to leave the hotel to get free Wifi elsewhere to update my devices.
1) Station Square means active train tracks right next to hotel. If you are a light sleeper, this is awful. 2) Several of my colleagues had MICE (confirmed) in their rooms 3) My sink had some ridiculous plumbing issues, making gross gulping and flopping sounds and spitting up crud 4) Parking for 2 nights was $51! 5) Rooms are dated
I was very disappointed at the person in the room across or next to us they had a child that run up and down the hall, slammed the door from sat morning till ll pm. He was crazy, and it was hard to get romance going with all that.
This has been the worst treatment ,I have hade in years off traveling, as u can see clearly in my pictures the mattress was urinated on beforehand when I contacted the manager she would not look at my eyes when explaining that the hotel was not going to move us to a new room , I highly recommend no one to stay at this disgusting establishment!
A terrible experience at a dirty hotel. Did not get the room I requested, was told I was getting a credit ( did not ask for one), bedding was dirty and had mystery stains, when I did not receive the credit that was offered I inquired about it and was told by a fairly hostile and certainly unaccomidating staff member that "the credit was never offered---the person who checked you in says she doesn't "remember" ever saying that." Will never, ever go there again.
Needs updating. The pool and hot tub are in sad shape. They needed replacing cement falling off, paint peeling. Our room 525 was damp and everything felt wet. The Starbucks in the lobby was good, staff was nice and helpful. The food was pretty good. The view across to Pittsburgh was spectacular.
Want to give a shout out to Dee Dee at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel. After a billing issue I was directed to two other people that did not return calls, she took it upon herself to do the job of 3 people and get it handled. She understands customer service and it is appreciated.
I was very disappointed! Came here for my anniversary paid extra for a Skyview and River free, end up getting a view of a soccer field than the thermostat didn't work so we got transferred to a view of a parking garage. The room was nothing special no bigger than a Day's Inn
This was the worst customer service I ever received at a hotel. I left a suit in the room and called the same day I checked out to ask if they found it. The lost and found line took me to voicemail which I left for the head of house keeping. Two days passed and no one got back to me so I called the front desk. They transferred me to house keeping and no one answered again. A week after my stay I called housekeeping again and had to leave another message. It s been two weeks since my stay and no one has gotten back to me. I expect better customer service from Sheraton and would recommend staying elsewhere.
First experience was that the automatic turn style door was broken causing it to be very awkward trying to maneuver your luggage while another guest is pushing the door quickly around. Next was the lobby was oddly very warm and humid. When we got to the room it too was very hot and humid. Even after trying to reduce the thermostat to 64 it still remained humid. The bed was horrible. It had a giant sink hole in the middle of the bed. While trying to taking a shower I ended up in ankle deep water, a major pet peeve of mine. The next morning while trying to get breakfast, we found the restaurant to be closed because all but one staff member called in sick. For the cost of this room I do not recommend this hotel nor will ever stay at it again.
Very central, nice staff, really convenient hotel. Had great room overlooking bridge and Steelers stadium. Club lounge access on 15 great. Needs a new lobby design and bar.
Beautiful hotel but you don't get what you book. Hope this does not happen to me again in the future. I booked a double room with doubles beds for my friends wedding. I know my friend slept wild so we need our own beds. I book this two months in advance. when we get to the room its only one bed. since it was a weekend trip i was going to deal with it. However, I couldn't so i called the front desk and they send a roll away bed up.
Seems like a nice place. Attended a wedding of a friend here and everything was really nice. Hotel seemed a bit dated but nothing was particularly wrong with it, just showing it's age. Staff were great and amentities (that we got to see at least) met expectations.
1. It s $23 to park overnight. 2. The parking garage messed up with charging my card multiple times. 3. Coffee isn t free, and no free breakfast. They charge you $4 for orange juice PER GLASS. 4. Hot tub doesn t have jets & isn t very warm. 5. Rude customer service... but Anne/Anna (not sure what her name was) was VERY helpful and sweet. My stay wasn t the best, but since we got screwed over so many times with parking, they actually took care of the $23. The rooms were clean and decent. But overall, if you don t want to waste a fortune on a hotel, don t stay here. WAY TOO OVERPRICED.
Attended a small wedding here. Avoid using this for your events. The hotel staff is rude and unfriendly not only to the hosts of the event, but also the guests. Even though the hotel was responsible for providing serving spoons for the wedding food, when asked for serving spoons for the rice, we were given two soup spoons instead and met with rolling eyes. As a guest, asked for decaf coffee twice to two different servers and was ignored. The American food that was provided by hotel was tasteless. Risotto looked like dried up mush instead of what it should be. Only positive is the view from the patio.
