I want to share my experience with a specific employee for GeneID, Mark Coates. This individual contacted me after finding my resume in LinkedIn. He called me and explained he was looking to hire a person to cover Houston and asked several questions about my work experience. He requested to send him 3-4 offices in Houston I have relationships, which I did and mandated to fill out a form with all the details about these offices, i.e. number of patients they see, insurances broken down by percentages, ages of patients and more information. I had to take him to one if the offices to prove I had a relationship. ( I wasn't hired, just being recruited at this point).He mandated to provide him with the personal cell phone numbers of my 3 previous Supervisors. I mentioned I didn't have their personal phone numbers, but I had included the phone numbers of the companies they were associated to in my employment application . He called me and literally scolded me for not provided him with the personal phone numbers of my previous supervisors. He was absolutely disrespectful towards me, humiliated me and was very condescending saying I didn't know how to follow his orders. I couldn't believe someone who is trying to recruit me that hasn't even hired me was so rude and condescending. He is the District Manager for Texas and GeneID should be ashamed to have Mark Coates as one of his employees. He has no interpersonal skills and is conveying a very negative image for this company. I reported him to the National VP/Director of Sales and she called me and was very apologetic saying she had reported him to HR. I was very enthusiastic about the possibility of joining GeneID and to contribute to the success of the company in Houston, but immediately after this extremely negative experience, I told the Director of Sales, I closed any chances to work for GeneID since the behavior of Mark Coates was discouraging, negative and disrespectful. I couldn't even imagine to report to him. Mark Coates should be removed from this company. GeneID can't have an employee like Mark Coates, he totally brings such a negative image of this company. In my 20 plus years of experience, I've never seen something like this, whether during the hiring process or after being hired.
