Absolutely amazing! They hosted my sister's wedding and even though it began raining last minute they still managed to find us a space inside and had it arranged in no time. Plus, their bartenders know how to make a drink :)

My children and I attended a manga convention at the SGPDH. The facility itself was clean but very dark. The conference room floors could have easily been mistaken for guests room floors. The chairs available were a bit dated and looked like wedding/dinner event type chairs not fitting of the occasion. I did not notice any hotel staff available while there. Overall a high quality facility, only downside was the low visibility due to dim lighting.

Great hotel. I came here for a conference. The building is clean. The catering was great. The staff are friendly and courteous. There is wifi although it was not very fast. Bathrooms are clean. There are lots of spaces to meet. Would recommend.

Wonderful stay for my family and I. My favorite features are the needed room key on the elevator to get to your floor. It keeps non guest out which is perfect when you have little ones, as we found out the last night we were there. The candy bar was a sweet treat for us before heading out, made our kids smile! Last, but not least, the beds were exactly what we needed after attending a beautiful wedding, comfortable and soft! All the employees were so nice and helpful, thank you!

Sweeping first rate hotel. Light rail nearby, and all of downtown is at your fingertips. Have had many group luncheons here, and the food, prep, and service presentations were first class. Definitely a destination hotel, and then enjoy the Phoenix museums and attractions.

It is a very nice hotel with generally attetive staff. The rooms are nicely done and there is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The restaurants wait staff is a little on the slow side however. Very convenient to the covention center.

The room was nice enough. The complimentary breakfast we paid 40.00 extra per night for was not great. Only bagels and oatmeal. No eggs, waffles, or sausage. Oh.. They had cereal. Very disappointing. The pool bar closed at 5pm on a Saturday, yet the pool was open until 11pm.

Great location, nice comfy rooms. My room has a great view of the stadium. Staff is friendly. Room has a very small fridge which is great but would be nice if it was bigger. And maybe a little more storage space would be nice.

Great staff. Perfect ball room and area for the holiday party we attended.

Plan on using the valet parking for events unless you get there early. They offered a discount rate for valet if you weren't staying the evening after the event.

The bed was comfy though the room we were in could use some updating with a relatively small TV and slightly outdated furniture. It was clean and comfortable.

Had an issue with one of our rooms and wasn't taken care of like we had wished but always excuses when it comes to refunds. Pool was dirty trash all in it. Again excuse was we had a storm yesterday. So that means the pool isn't cleaned daily. Room was nice view was great.

On Friday 10/13 and Saturday 10/14 I spent the days at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix and I was very impressed with the informative and cordial staff. All amenities were clean and all electronics functioned from lighting to hygiene dispensers. I enjoyed a fantastic lunch with an amazing vegetables and Chicken meal. Desert was an apple pie of sorts that I could not stop diving my fork into. Fantastic experience!

I haven't stayed in the rooms, but I have been to weekend conventions here the past 4-5 years. The meeting/convention spaces are great for small panels and big productions. Restrooms are always clean and stocked. Staff is friendly. Very centrally located in Phoenix. You have a few parking options at the hotel or nearby. The hotel is across the street from a movie theater and about a dozen restaurants. The hotel also has some dining options. Also very nice views of the city from the windows and balconies.

They have redone the rooms recently. The place is under construction which is understandable. But the changes made in the rooms are awkward. No desk. A round table with outlets in it instead. And the chair does not have wheels and the height cannot be adjusted. I felt like I was typing at my chin level while on the computer.

Stayed at hotel 2/2-2/6. Extremely poor customer service at the front desk at check-in. Small dated rooms and the club lounge served the same food every single day of my stay. Definitely not what I am used to as a frequent Marriott traveler.

I have never seen rooms that caused motion sickness before. The hallways are concave, with uneven walls, ceilings and floors, with not a single proper right angle to be seen. While it may not be a problem for most, multiple people in my group found it just as disorienting as I did. At the end of the day, I did really enjoy the place and its facilities, but the reason I have to leave a one star review, is because the room was infested with some manner of biting insect, that turned the stay into an absolute misery.

Excellent service from the staff. The hotel restaurants and bar is great... very busy but a great bar to hang out. The mall next door to the hotel is under construction but it the restaurants and other shops were open to the public. Overall I had an amazing stay at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix.

Came for a business trip. Had a single king bedroom. Room was fairly updated and had a clean and large shower with tub. Had an evening reception on the Phoenix patio, which was fun with a decent view. Would recommend coming to this hotel.

I am going to say very briefly my experience (everything else was great!)
I booked a reservation, and the email says a total of: $408.63 (including taxes).
Upon check out I was billed $493.05 (including taxes).

So always check your reservation against the final bill! I only verified this because I heard others complaining.

No one notified me of rates change until I complained about this difference. Almost a month after check-out I have not yet received back the difference. They are just pointing fingers.

(See below for best place to stay) The staff at the front desk was great. The room was tiny and standard on the 23rd floor where the membership rooms are reserved. We were on a high floor so the view was great facing south. We were surprised to find after the first day, where we walked into the lobby with free water and candies, that this is not a standard service, as it was only there for a convention. Therefore, there was never water or snack service in the lobby after the fact, even during hot days (all three other hotels we stayed at in the Phoenix area had water service throughout the day). We were lucky that the front desk people gave us a discount on parking at $20 a day as we did not expect a parking fee, and a discount on the Wi-Fi rate at $10 a day as this, too, was unexpected. The Wi-Fi connection was horrible and we could not stream movies on Netflix. There is no free continental breakfast. The restaurant is not great, definitely overpriced and does not carry a good kids menu. The hot tub was broken and the pool was cool, therefore, most people did not swim. The location is great. One of the staff members in the gift shop was very rude to our daughter, yet the rest were kind. Down the street is a Holiday Inn & Suites, literally 2 blocks away, with much larger and nicer rooms (truly large and luxury suites in comparison), free parking, free Wi-Fi, free continental breakfast, perfect downtown location, fabulous staff and a much more user-friendly pool and hot tub! The whole area is surrounded by by restaurants, so that is never an issue, as you probably wouldn't eat at the Sheraton anyways (not after the first time) even if you were staying at their location.

This is a huge hotel ,downtown. Lots of restaurants and shopping easy to get to. They have a major rennovation under way although to be fair we didn't see or hear much of it. Our room is very modern and new. Huge TV, good bathroom, modern furnishings. I am somewhat bewildered that a huge hotel like this would join with Starbucks. Commercialism. There is a very good cafe 200 yards away. Great coffee. We have enjoyed our stay here and anyone wanting a central location would find this hotel a very good fit.

Went to the bar for a social event. Bar area seemed oddly disjointed..I guess the middle space is supposed to be for special functions? I didn't try the food but noticed French fries with cheez-its on top, if that gives you any indicator of the food?

Will appointed venue for upscale busyness events. Larger rooms adequate to host a casino night, speaking engagement, or major conference, this property is in the downtime area, just 10-15 minutes drive to the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
