A very tourist friendly place. You will see a lot of people hanging out in the lobby which seems people are resting.

The have an amazing Club Lounge which is as big as a restaurant and a nice size gym in the basement. The rooms are good too.

Only problems were that the restaurants closed early and they're sometimes with no place to eat there. Particularly at breakfast time as they said it would be open. The elevators are great though.

I had a terrible time making a reservation at this hotel for a conference and only after much complaining I was able to complete the transaction. Service at the desk was professionally polite but far from welcoming. Rooms are somewhat small (which is perfectly OK for that area in Manhattan) but comfortable. The hotel was extremely busy and the elevator system is one of the worst I have ever seen. They were testing a new technology where elevators were optimized depending on the guests's destinations; I have seen this system working well in other hotels but it was far, far from merely decent at this location. Speaking of location, this is one of the best things at this hotel. Same can be said about the lobby, which feels spacious and well-appointed even with large crowds.

Very annoying. The hotel is quite expensive but they still nickel and dime you. E.g. $4 to check a bag,.45 a minute to use the business center, .65 per page to print, etc. They charge for things that are free even in budget places. Also, the rooms are nothing special. Small bathrooms - the tub is so small it is useless. This is by no means a high class hotel.

We booked at the Sheraton Time Square and then read some reviews and was scared for our stay. We did have to wait awhile to check in but I mean it s a 50 floor hotel the weekend of the NYC marathon so not surprised or upset about that. When we got to our room I was expecting an outdated, dirty, smelly room (from multiple reviews). Our room was near PERFECT and we have a wonderful week stay. The housekeepers on our level were so friendly and nice. The location was awesome right in between time square and Central Park! We will stay there for our next visit!

Nice

We arrived at 2pm and was told there weren't rooms and check in time was 4pm. I asked if I could get in as a gold rewards member; the lady dismissed me by saying the hotel was booked and they were busy and I'd be notified when our room was ready. Had to check my bags in, then I left to meet a friend & realized at 5pm that I hadn't been contacted. Disappointing service! Room was small, a king room, but fine. Location is nice. Parking in the garage cost $65/day. People constantly milling about in the lobby area made it feel almost like you're outside on the streets, but I guess that's NYC for you.

Gr8!

Very nice and clean. The bellmam was helpful of course as wasn everybody else we encountered. Will definitely go back on my next trip to NYC. The room size was a bit smaller than what you are use to, expected for that area, but big enough for 2-3 people to be comfortable. Also within walking distance to Junior's.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night and for just one night our experience was amazing. When we checked in we had no problems. The receptionists greeted us kindly. Our room was also well cleaned. We felt very relaxed for our one night stay. The only thing I would recommend is for the ac to be consistently on. It was very humid on the night we stayed and every time the ac would cut off the humidity in the room would rise. Maybe it s a periodic problem but regardless of that we really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again soon.

The staff were nice. My family and I were told we would have breakfast on the same floor at club level but that was a lie. We were also told we would have a view of Times Square but didn't. I think the service could have been better. The Sheridan in Chicago was better. All in all, though, we had an enjoyable stay.

A great hotel with friendly staff. It s New York so rooms are not massive but they are more than adequate and in a good condition. It is kept clean although if you look carefully, there are a few places that need a deep clean from dust. The cafe in the foyer is a great spot although can get busy but turns in to a bar from 3pm...this caught me out a couple of times. The gym is well equipped and only felt full when a big conference event was on. An excellent hotel

Average to low quality rooms . At times it took 10 to 15 minutes to use the elevators as it was crowded and system was not efficient . It was expensive enough and on top of it they chared me for items in the bar that I never touched and no response from Billing dept when I emailed them . I felt robbed and was about 80 dollers worth of robbery by sheriton . Would not stay again

I haven't booked a room here since the 1980's because I live here now, hence the need for hotels has diminished. Besides, I prefer larger rooms rather than closets in hotels without street noise below me. To note, Sheraton's rooms are large by European standards...except for Monaco. That country is an anomaly.
This review's purpose though is to illustrate the general atmosphere and amenities and services available at lobby level. The reason for the ample photo coverage is to amplify what is described in mere sentences.

I miss the lounge La Ronde from the 80's. It is now an "exclusive perk" lounge, somewhat like extra foot room in business class on an airline. You may be able to dance in there; I don't know and still remain not interested in what is happening beyond that door.

Sheraton gets four stars for no dance floor, band, hamonica player, shoeshine service or pet grooming salon. Oh, and no on-call pet psychiatrists. You may order room service.
Add a star for excellent, friendly customer service.

A third place in the world, the attention is horrible, both in the reception and in the cafeteria. You can wait for hours to receive your room, you can even be sent to another hotel. And if they give you a good room for the door at night because they can give your room to someone else while you are inside.

Avoid this hotel at all costs!!! They will tell you one thing but when it's time to leave they slap you with all sorts of bogus charges. Employees are poorly trained. They don't know how to speak to the guests. The manager was getting loud with me while trying to tell me I had to pay an extra $80 bucks, while yelling in my face he was spraying everywhere. I recommend any other hotel but this one!!

Wonderful hotel, My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights with you last week and had the most wonderful time. Our upgraded suite was amazing. The staff were polite and most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had the best time ever in New York and cant wait for our return visit to the Sheraton sometime in the future.

When I first arrived with my boyfriend, Beth was amazing. Friendly, helpful, and recommended some sites including the Village and Top of the Rock! It was my first trip to New York with my boyfriend. Unfortunately when we arrived, the room wasn't ready but that was okay, we went out for a few hours and left out bags in storage. After a few hours, we were tired and went back to the hotel hoping the hotel the room was ready so we can take a shower and get some rest. Unfortunately it would not be according to the next person we spoke with unless we paid $50 for early check in. We thought we could wait instead and said nevermind, we'll come back later. After the front desk associate looked over the reservation again, the front desk associate said I'll waive that for you and get you checked in, but then she brought Beth over lecturing her and speaking to her in a very unwelcoming way. My advice, if your going to lecture someone on how to do something, do it nicely or save it to for the back room and train. Beth, if you ever read this, Thank you. The room was amazing. Great view. 2nd night I go to take a shower and they were flying little bugs all over the ceiling of the shower. Very nasty. I didn't want to take a shower anymore and just wanted to sleep. I sent my boyfriend down to talk to the front desk and they gave him $50 which was nice. Off tomorrow to a different hotel.

Near everything. Radio City, Carn. Hall 42 st. Trains Buses, Beautiful People from All Races, in the same place, sharing family. New York is not cheap, the cost of living is high but it can be enjoyed. Tads steak ej tbone with baked potato and salad $ 20. Beer $ 6 to $ 8 in normal places.

Building, facilities are old, but location is good and is connected to subway station. Recommended (close walking distance) to Carnegie Hall, museums and Central Park. There is a deli around, and the stalls packed with bread etc. are also in the morning, so you can enjoy breakfast of locals.
