Excellent hotel and Spa, pay extra for a club room, views are great and access to the club lounge for happy hour is well worth it, staff were so friendly and helpful

We were here on our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier with the service. The front desk and conceriege were always friendly and willing to suggest restaurants and catered to our every need. Room service was very quick, friendly and the food and drinks were phenomenal. Honestly the best Sheraton we have ever been to. Highest marks possible!!!

The stay was amazing. Greeted by the concierge before we even entered the hotel, friendly warm service at all times, had dinner in the restaurant, which was amazing, the bar staff even made a personalised cocktail for my wife. Would highly, HIGHLY, recommend

Modern hotel with great bars/restaurants. Half the hotel offers rooms with views of Edinburgh castle. Entry to the hotel is backwards with the reception based at the back from a side road.

Tasty food, professional and aware service. Lovely experience with Sunday brunch.

Excellent hotel, food and drink. Ideally situated, very close to the Castle and central Edinburgh. Probably the friendliest, polite and helpful staff in Edinburgh. All the Scottish people we met were very friendly. Our first visit to Scotland, won't be our last. Highly recommended

Attended a social event with work. Hotel is in great location, good food and nice bar staff. Would give 5 stars if not for overly agressive security guard who spoiled a night for a few people in our group.

Came for NY dinner with colleagues. Had pre booked 6/12 months ago. Could not believe our eyes when we were given a table in the lounge outside the restaurant making it obvious that we are being treated differently Eventually on our insistence we were moved to the main Resturant. We are all professionals (medical) and such discrimination beggars belief in this modern day at a 5* hotel !!!!

Perfect location. Spa pool cold and not many facilities in leisure area. Pleasant rooms but configuration of en suite not good. Glass doors. Strange.

A 'meh' experience overall. Our first room had no view and a broken shower door. They moved us to a room with an even less engaging view of a flat roof and a toilet that immediately broke. While the staff is lovely and does their best to help, the rooms felt a bit careworn for the price. On the plus side, the gym is nice and the staff was very good.

Large room with view on the castle, these have been recently decorated with good taste. The service is nearly perfect - always prompt to help. The restaurant should have a more diversified menu, it is the only critic that I find. In sum, a perfect place to stay in Edinbourgh.

Service in the bar was great. Staff were attentive and friendly, snacks were refilled as soon as they started running low, and the cocktails we had were well presented and delicious.

Arrived on a cold Sunday in November. Stayed on business. Stuck in a room at the back of the hotel with no view. Generator noise kept me awake all night. Lights were faulty in the room- they have LED mood lighting, but as soon as this was turned on, the toilet light was pulsating and bedside light kept flashing on and off (strange - wasn't aware I'd booked the disco room!). Went down for a meal only to find that their Restaurant was closed on a Sunday, so had to venture out in the freezing cold. Left a toilet bag which Reception were kind enough to retrieve for me the next day when I popped back to the hotel - only to find out that someone had helped themselves to some of my toiletries. I was sent an email in which I was asked how my stay was. I replied with the above, and never heard anything back! Since my business isn't wanted with Sheraton, I'll carry on staying at Radisson or Kimptom Charlotte Square - much better experiences that my one and only time with Sheraton. Thanks Sheraton Grand Edinburgh!

I only used the car park while visiting Edinburgh and staying nearby. It was clean, tidy and reasonably priced.

How do you get the lift to work to get from the carpark to reception to meet someone for coffee? Answer - You need a digital key, that you get to get into your hotel room and to operate the lift. Not a very disabled friendly system!

My wife and I recently stayed at this location for our honeymoon. It was an absolutely gorgeous hotel, very clean and in a great part of town. Easily walking distance to all the tourist spots in Edinburgh, great views of the castle and access to public transportation. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were treated very well and couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish! Staff were friendly and attentive, service was 5 star. Hotel is stunning, spa facilities are fabulous. I can't recommend this hotel enough and can't wait to return.

Great Christmas lunch venue with colleagues and the food was magnificent - the saddle of beef was a firm favourite from around the table.

The spa is just amazing, super recommended! also the rooms are big and the service was great. But most important the location is great, couple minutes from the castle and very close to restaurants and cute shops.

Treated like a potential terrorist! im quite fair with my reviews and did not want to post until a week after my stay to ensure I was being truthful with my experience. Well it was disgusting, on arrival the TV wasn't working and I had to call down 4 times in total and had 2 engineer visits which made me feel as though I were at home waiting for virgin or sky. The day later I was sent to the bar to ask for a kbiknti cut fruit I had but he rudely refused and made others look at the commotion. He said it's policy not to give out any knifes so I asked for a butter knife which was still refused. I went to the reception desk where I was told he's lied and I was given a steak knife believe it or not. The place is ok but it was how I was made to feel during my stay. You go to relax not to wait for engineers and be treated as though you're a potential terrorist lookingfor a knife. Absolutely disgusted by the stay. They did upgrade my room which was good but still not worth the hassle.

Attended a function and stayed overnight. Found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were lovely. Rooms were comfortable and modern - my only criticism would be that I would have preferred the bathroom walls to have been solid rather than glass ( had to listen to my husband in the bathroom during the night )

Nice place, was attending wedding function. Driving there was a mission, to many diversions.

The property itself is quite worn out and the club lounge is below average quality, but the staff there are very helpful and nice. Location is also easy to get around as it only takes walking distance to almost all the major tourist places in town.

A five-star experience. Sheraton's usual high quality service, impeccable decor, pleasant atmosphere, and interesting menu all add up to make for an outstanding time in Edinburgh. Will certainly be back.

Gorgeous hotel with excellent rooms. The bathrooms are fairly luxurious and relaxing. It's within walking distance to the castle and several restaurants and pubs.
