There is one woman at reception who is a DRAGON!!!! Absolutely horrendous.

This is by far the worst surgery going, they never have staff and a constant let down please do not register to this surgery. The extra travelling will be worth it

Terrible service from a very rude receptionist over the phone, demanding to know what my medical problem was, when i explained id rather speak with a doctor regarding it, was told well i need to know which doctor to put you with, when i asked which doctor was on duty that afternoon i was told only 1, well that sort of narrows the options down then really doesn't it, there is no choice therefore you do not need to know what my medical issue is. Saying that all the doctors are fantastic, if you can get past the receptionists that is

I went there recently to ask about blood test and other (important for a guy in my age) checks. Got told someone will call me back. Had a phone call a week after from one of their doctors, who refused to do blood test etc. Not professional at all!

I had an emergency Appointment this morning and I was quickly processed and waiting for my doctor, I was seen on time and the Doctor I saw was great. she took the time to talk to me about my condition and even went the extra mile to advise me it has been a long time since my last blood pressure etc and proceeded to do this as well. was happy with the surgery today :) Previous times although the doctor was not as good he still did what was required and I still felt looked after.

The worst GP in which I was a month took them to complete two pages of the form to the insurance company. GP staff puts everything away later I am very disappointed

Its quite bad of them not to answer the appointments line. I can never get through . I have no choice but to stay with this surgery as it is the closest. One lady doctor is a bit nosy and the others are better .

Horrible unfriendly and unhelpful woman at reception. Hope she never needs to see someone. Awful

Gone downhill steadily in the last few years to where the women at reception are really unhelpful and make you feel resentful for waiting 9 to 13 minutes to speak to them, waiting times on the phone never used to be this long and it does not appear to be a staffing issue.
I am leaving this surgery this week and it can not be soon enough.

Holdenhurst used to be a great surgery a couple of years ago, nowadays you can't get passed reception. 30 min calling, the line is always busy. Very disappointing.

Awful. Every repeat prescription I've had over the past 6 years has been incorrect or late. I'm supposed to get my medication in 3 monthly periods but due to the time-keeping with this surgery, I have had to go through withdrawal symptoms EVERY time I run out of my medication. If I had my medication, maybe I'd have the energy to find somewhere better.

After about 4 calls I got through in the end.after about 100 questions with a receptionist that thinks she a Dr got a appointment about 3 weeks later.
Didnt see the dr I had the appointment with but some sort of specialist that didn't say wot waz wrong or what my choices are just showed me how to sit and stand properly..came out feeling worse than when I went in ..waste of time and a complete joke this place ..couldn't even do the wife's smear test properly either.

I have been a Patient at the Holdenhurst Road Surgery in Bournemouth for a number of years. During that time I have had a number of treatments which have been dealt with resulting in great success and
where nothing has been too much trouble. .Over this time I have been attended to by several different Doctors all of which has shown the most excellent care. In addition I have also recently had additional treatment
from Nurse Kirsty. This Lady really is a Gem in my opinion and a great asset to the Practice .. resulting in the best after care treatment ever.
I am delighted to be a Patient here at Holdenhurst Road and would highly recommend this Practice to be in my opinion as a 5* without doubt

Patients left waiting THREE WEEKS for an appointment Unacceptable. Receptionists asking for reasons you need to see doctor, completely unacceptable and a breach of confidentiality.

Trying to get through on the phone actually pointless..

I have been with this surgery many years and treated very well reception people always very polite and helpful
Rang today several times as I had 2 calls from them yesterday still haven't picked up after 10 minutes not good enough

I wouldn't recommend this surgery even if it was the last surgery I could get to in Bournemouth area! 1st impression is always the good impression but be their for a while and all goes down the shoot.

The reception staff allow calls to ring for 10+ minutes at a time and you can be sat in the surgery and watch them have a natter about non work related Subjects while the phone rings away to be the Surgery's Music.
or you be lucky if they talk to one another as I've had troubles with where they don't pass on messages, they lose important paper work or should I say misplaced. every time I have been in they have struggled to use the computers and they aren't exactly old ones now.

GP's and Nurses have given me False information a few times and had made me pay for the Wrong type of stocking and didn't get my money back made my leg Pain worse due to the fact they don't look you over properly, and they want you in and out to get a lovely pay check in their back pockets. Mental health means nothing as they are happy for you to get highly depressed and do nothing but offer happy pills to patient.

I'm in my 20's and have spent a hole year living in my flat depressed and in great pain and irritation, difficulties walking, doing day to day activities and stuck in frustration of what was wrong with my leg and how to treat. I didn't want to be on pills all my life, and I got told to go to an Acupuncturist, and the pain and irritation has reduced a lot and has helped me walk and nearly back to work in 2 months instead of being stuck on pills for years on end or being told "I don't know whats wrong with you we need more tests".
The GP'S would have you coming back like a boomerang long as their was profit coming their way.
I takes a team effort to suck the way they do! and people have a right to know what they are like truly.

I am a patient at Holdenhurst Road . I am so happy with my treatment and the professionalism by everyone at the Surgery. They really do try their best.
I personally would recommend Dr Heidi YEOMANamd Julie Thornton Nurse Specialist. Such lovely people and who have supported me and have always beem so kind and caring. I trust these two professionals and am so grateful to them.

Extremely long over an hour waiting times, if this was a business, it would fail.

No feedback forms either upstairs or downstairs waiting rooms. After asking for feedback forms they refused to provide pens to accompany them for future patients.

Rushed Doctor and recipionsits, which caused them to come across as rude.

Solutions, increase doctor to patient time from 10 mins to 15 mins and provide feedback forms with pens in both waiting rooms.

Had an emergency appointment today , the lady Doctor I saw was very good , I didn't have to wait too long . The ladies at the reception were pleasant , and helpful to all those that either phoned or called in .This was my first visit , and i was impressed.

If you need medical attention avoid this surgery appointment times are ridiculous the doctors don't care anymore it's all about money to them

They answered to my call in less than a minute, very kind and helpful.

Just can't get through to them on the phones been trying for 2 days now and when I go down they are fully booked for the next 20 days

Have phoned the past 2 working days to try and get through to speak about a repeat prescription. Absolutely awful that I have been on hold for 45 minutes without someone answering the phone! Shocking service. What are the receptionists doing?

Having to give this car crash of a surgery even 1 star is quite a painful move you know. The doctors are actually fine (I d know, I ve been passed around all of them like a joint at a party) but just know in the back of your mind when booking an appointment that you ll never get the same one. EVER.

The Receptionists (there s a main one who literally breathes fire, maybe Jackie? Anyway she s awful) are the problem here. Anyone would think you ve called up to threaten their families instead of making an appointment. Everything is an issue to them, to the point where the doctors even suggest themselves to make complaints because they know just how hideous the front staff are. Compassion, understanding and empathy are alien words to them. Avoid this nightmare at all costs, you d probably get better treatment at a Donald Trump rally than in the reception of this place.

Outside sign says new patients welcome, inside they say, that they don't register new patients since February...it's end of August now.

Awful. Only surgery whereby I've had to wait on hold for 1hour with no answer, just to book in to see a GP.

Waiting times to get through on phone not good. Was told at an appointment i was getting refered for a private scan or if that was not possible i would hear from the doctor. O
Phoned six days later no referal done or any notes on the system about what is happening. Now having to pay 88 pounds for a private gp appointnent as i am struggling.

First of all I would like to edit and update my review about Holdenhurst Surgery as I have wrote a negative review about this surgery in the and the staff of this surgery in the past. What I found out after being in contact with the staff of this surgery I have got enough time to get to know how this surgery is working as this surgery is very busy almost all the time and they are under too much pressure that's why I got to understand them and understand what's going on in this surgery after barring in mind that they are doing what they can to provide medical services to a massive range of patients in the neighbourhood. As well as when they know that a patient is suffering from serious health problems such as mental health illnesses they try to treat that patient in a special way because of His/Her mental health illness as well as they provide excellent services to others. I would highly recommend this surgery just bare in mind that this surgery is considered as one of the most busiest surgeries in all Bournemouth. I would like to thank Holdenhurst Surgery staff for all the help and support that they provided to me.

I was on hold for an hour to book an appointment and order a repeat prescription for my daughter. Still on hold drove to the surgery and the receptionists were sitting chatting. Disgusted, waste of my tax money.

Always had great service for such a small surgery. Far better than my previous 2 surgerys.

I keep getting letters and texts telling me my smear test is overdue. I've called everyday for 10 working days, at different times and searched for other phone numbers to call. I've never been able to get though. 42 minutes is the longest I've been on hold before hanging up. I went to the surgery but it was closed for lunch. I give up. Apparently I need to call them to stop receiving text messages

Used to be a really good surgery but that was a long time ago the amount of mistakes that are made at this surgery is going to cost someone there live one day if not already. Just to give a idea I had I blood test for diabetes a year ago I phoned at the time to find out what the results were and was told that I will get a call if anything showed up one year yes that's right one year later I was going through my notes with the nurse it turned out that the test came back that I was diabetic. It turned out that the doctor neglected to inform the receptionist to get incontact with me. I am in constant pain all the time now I can't use my hands properly any more and because of the pain in my feet I just don't sleep. Maybe if I had the medication and how to manage my sugar levels a year ago i wouldn't be in this pain now. This is just one mistake they have made the amount of times they have messed up my medication you would not believe two of my tablets are for my heart one to stop blood clots forming in my heart and the other is beta blockers if it wasn't for the pharmacist giving me a loan of tablets until I got the surgery to sort their problems out well anything could have happened. I could go on with more mistakes they have made but I would be writing all day some one seriously needs to sort this surgery out.

No one answers the phone and when you call at lunch time they are out for lunch!

Awful receptionists are useless and mess u around doctors just want u in and out no help at all

you have a better chance winning the lottery then getting through to this doctors on the phone.
