Simply stunning and a must see and it doesn't cost a cent, and if you arrive in the wrong attire, they dress you up. Highly recommended.

Sheikh Zayed Grand mosque is "the" place to visit in Abu Dhabi for a first time tourist. The word grand is an understatement. Colossal would more suit the grandeur of this beautiful mosque that also houses the biggest chandelier and the carpet of the world. The intricate carvings on the walls are exquisite. It is mandatory for women to adorn the traditional Arabic attire and cover their heads. If you don't have the attire, need not worry as it is available at the mosque without any cost. Children on strollers are permitted. Cameras are permitted at no extra charge. The mosque is open till 10 pm and looks beautiful during the night. The entry to the mosque is free of charge. There is a however a requirement of verification that can be done online or at the mosque directly. I recommend that you do it online and take a print out of the same to avoid queues at the mosque.

One of the most beautiful man-made things I've ever seen.

This is something really special and a must do when visiting Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Its definately a building of beauty with so much thought and detail gone into its construction. I have to give so much respect to the late Sheikh Zayed and his vision. May Allah bless his soul.

Beautiful mosque. Visit worthful. Ladies please make a note that u wear a dress which hides ur body from feet head and wrist, also do not wear cloths which are transparent. Only face and fingers must be visible. A place where see white Whitest white.

Beautiful architecture. Splendid interior and exterior views. One of the most beautiful Mosque without any shadow of a doubt. And one must have to give full credit to the security and managment. They are doing amazing job by managing crowd without any discrimination and maintaining the condition of the place.

This is definitely worth visiting while in Abu Dhabi, its a truly beautiful place.
long trousers and shirts are a must along with a head scarf for ladies, if you do need to be covered, they will direct you into the car park to get a traditional robe, it is very hot down there so best do come prepared.

This was the first time been to a mosque, this is incredible. Near to airport, so it best place to spend if you have 4 hr minimum

Beautiful structure, but virtually no historical signage or information available unless you pay for a guided tour. I would have loved learning something about the place but I left not having gained any information about it.

Also, be prepared to be bumped into a thousand times by selfie obsessed tourists trying to get that perfect Instagram shot rather than looking around at the actual architecture.

Beautiful mosque and very well maintained but damn rude employees everywhere scolding tourists including me.
Usually Muslims i know personally will be kind but in this mosque, it was totally different.
I was in Dubai for 5 days, met good and smiling people but then the day I stepped into Abu Dhabi, had to face this such an issue. Regret visit Abu Dhabi. Before I traveled in Etihad Airways, Faced rude air hostess everywhere, now this.

That place was beyond my expectation! Nice architecture and design.

The tour guide was very insightful, friendly and taught us alot of the UAE culture.

Very interesting place to visit. Be aware of their dress code, manly for women (catholic church has its dress code as well, you know if you ever visited Vatican). It's important to them, so even if you are not muslim you should show respect. Very impotent place as the same time the whiteness try to show simplicity. Weird the need to remove your shoes before entering the underground restroom (you know, male restroom floor usually not the cleanest place) even though they look to clean the floor around after every single use.

The Grand Mosque was constructed between 1996 and 2007.It was designed by Syrian architect Yousef Abdelky.The building complex measures approximately 290 m (960 ft) by 420 m (1,380 ft), covering an area of more than 12 hectares (30 acres), excluding exterior landscaping and vehicle parking.

One of the most beautiful mosque in the world. National Geographics made a superbe documentary of it as a tribute to the founder of the UAE, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan.

It was serene experience to visit this Mosque last week. It was built over 10 years and you can see that extreme attention to detail was put in while building it. So many opportunities to take beautiful pictures.

Today I started my day at the Sheikh Zayed grand Mosque and what a way to start a day. The tour guide was the best, Marwan Al Ameri. It was amazing. Its worth seeing.

This mosque is absolutely spectacular! Very peaceful and beautiful place.

The third biggest mosque in the world!

We went at the time that was almost on the evening, so that we could catch the look of the building before and during sunset, and it was beautiful!

However, the down side was that the weather was still very hot and humid, may be it was due to the fact that we went to Dubai at the wrong season, secondly, it was very crowded, not because of a lot of tourists visited the place, but rather it was just too many locals.

In conclusion, the mosque was still worthwhile to go, a must-see place when you came to Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

Beautiful, mind-blowing, breathtaking, scenic some words in which i can express my first look at this place. Its covered in white marble along with pure gold on pillars. It is a square model with water on all the sides, you can enter in for free, go around it tale pictures but cannot enter the prayer area in center, ladies need to wear abayya before entering which is available for free as u enter. Entrance to the mosque can be traveled using free pick and drop, cafe with restrooms available on the other side. Ample of parking available too. If you visiting from Dubai by bus you can catch a taxi for short distance from abu Dhabi bus terminus to come here. This place is out of Abu dhabi city

Absolutely fascinating architecture and design. Visiting the place in the early evening when the sky is just turning dark and the lights in the mosque are just coming on is really nice. The place also caters to a large number of visitors efficiently. Worth a visit in Abu Dhabi.

Huge mosque with entry via underground tunnel. Group tours are much faster as individual queues are longer to print the tickets. You can find grand chandeliers inside the mosque. Ample parking to park buses and cars. The entire visit time may be between 2-3 hrs. Shops and cafes are present in the underground area. Must visit when in Abu Dhabi.

This place was really amazing especially during the evening time with it's colorful lightings. I immensely love this mosque because of it's wonderful architect. My visit to the mosque with my family was really a super great experience in my life.

The grandeur of this place is unmatched. The complete marble building with Islamic (Arabic) architecture and unparalleled calmness is a soul soothing experience. Must watch in UAE

Simply impressive in size, preciousness and fame. When you have visited this mosque, there is maybe nothing more impressive. Unfortunately you are not allowed to enter to "all" areas inside the mosque anymore. You have to register and stuff, but they are very kind and are helping you, if needed. So in total nothing to complain and ...FREE of CHRAGE, which is not common in Europe for example.

Wow what a big stunning mpsque. Definetly a must see. But you have to be covered, but you get the cover for the skin over there.
