Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center Review

Architecture is breath taking and it a must see when visiting Abu Dhabi. It's full of history , and it's the 2nd biggest Mosque in the world. Staff are very professional. They offer free admission and in the event you have short sleeves/midi, they will provide appropriate local costumes for both male and female to put on without any problem.

This place is BEYOND words. It's something you have to experience yourself, the whole Mosque is an epitome of beauty and grandeur.
From the marbles to the gold and silver edifice.
It's something you have to experience for yourself whenever you are in Abu Dhabi.
You have to be fully dressed especially as a female to be allowed in, their dressing rules are very strict but they also have clothes available especially for tourists in case you didn't come with any.

Incredibly breathtaking especially when viewed up close, this grand mosque is certainly worth a visit if you are in Abu Dhabi, or even Dubai. Allow a few hours minimum here to take in the beautiful architecture. Best time to visit is in the afternoon to get the day time views and to see the sunset.

This mosque is the most stunning man-made structure I've ever seen. Every little detail is carefully crafted.
Make sure you don't make any gestures or put your arms around your friends in pictures - the guards will ask you to delete them.
You'll be put in dresses that make you look like a potato sack, so be prepared. You'll also have to take off your shoes.

Must visit if you are in Abu Dhabi, totally worth the time being spent....very well maintained and serene place...do wear fully covered clothing...out of respect for their culture...carry to cover your head. Don't wear high heels...you have to walk a lot... though there is a shoe rack..but still comfort is must if you are traveling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi for visiting this marvellous place.

this is a must be and must visit place when you visit the UAE. the SZGM is the biggest and most beautiful mosque in UAE where Sheikh Zayed was laid to rest. it is the second biggest mosque after the one in Mecca Saudi Arabia. it is situated along Sheikh Makthoum or Airport road. it has a lovely view over looking the Ritz Carlton hotel Abu Dhabi ..it is just a wow place to visit!!

Large and comfortable for parking.
It doesn't offer any cover from the sun therefore it's a pain in the summer especially when after having Parked you will have to walk in the middle of boiling asphalt to reach the queue for the security control.

Such a beautiful mosque. A must visit, but make sure to get you tickets (its free) before entering the mosque at the registration office to be able to enter the areas.

Five stars does do adequate justice to this wonderful edifice. Its an architectural wonder. A place to visit. It has shopping centers, gift shops, canteens and the rest. Security is top notch. It has series of lifts, escalators and even carts to help movement around the mosque. Ladies may be requires to put on special clothing

Lighting inside n out are just amazing, best to be visited for in the evening as the cool dessert breeze blows over you ,be careful to place your shoes as you cecede to pray

The most beautiful place that I have visited recently. I loved the calm, peace and awesome attitude of the people around. It spoke a lot about the true religion, that is being misused nowadays. The year of tolerance definately reflects in every corner if the nation.

They have recently made this a standard tourist attraction with lots of roped off non accessible areas. I understand this is to help with large crowds but it was much better when you could walk thru the carpeted room with large chandeliers.

Such an emaculate, massive, mosque. Beautifully appointed. There is so much attention to detail that it really must be experienced in person. I did not feel uncomfortable as a tourist or female. We were made aware of the rules and followed them. The staff were friendly and understanding. Very peaceful and not crowded. The lights light the mosque beautifully and are changing colors. The fountains and water that surround the mosque add to its beauty. A must see in Abu Dhabi!

Absolutely beautiful and a pious mosque with gorgeous marbles and cravings and wonderful Islamic art on display.

A nice Mosque which is kept really clean and is beautiful to the eye, its a must visit for anyone going to the UAE.

I must add that the Mosque is on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi city and you will have to get a taxi and from the mosque.

We stayed at the Royal Rose Hotel and it cost us about 70UAE Dirhams for a return journey.

Ah, such a beautiful place. It's a pity that they've turned such a beautiful mosque into something more of a tourist attraction only. We had this intention of offering our prayers here, but it was not permitted. Anyway, the place is magnificent and spreads such positivity. If you're ever visiting UAE, this beautiful monument should be listed down.

It is the most iconic religious and cultural site worth visiting in the UAE. The amount of tourist traffic here is shocking, but they handle it quite well, and the process to get in and out moves along fairly well. It is open to taking pictures, and it is one of the most photogenic spots in the country. Small limitation: you will not be allowed to enter with a telephoto lens with over 300mm of zoom capability. Keep this in mind. Otherwise, it will be held at the entrance lockers for you.

This is the most beautiful tourist place that I have seen in a while, such a treat to the eyes, completely loved it..

Amazing piece of arquitecture well worth a visit when in Abu Dhabi. The snow marble and delicate mosaic and marble inset are really gorgeous. The site sport the world's biggest chandlerier made of Swarovski crystal and state of the art LED lighting and the bigger hand made carpet with over 2.3 billion knots. Simply amazing. The place is a whorship Muslim center so some dressing code is required, and appropriate dressing is provided on site in case you are not wearing the appropriate clothing. Be aware the big suitcases, tobbaco, lighters, laptops and food or drinks are not allowed inside but they can leave in the reception. Entry is free as well as parking. There are an some shops and a small food court in the visitors center.
