First time at a Sheehy dealership and my experienc...

First time at a Sheehy dealership and my experience was rushed, unprofessional, and unexceptional. I called in ahead of time and came in to look at a Honda Civic 2016 Pre-Owned (VIN: 19XFC2F74GE088571). I was ready to buy in cash and not waste time.

The process was rushed from the beginning and as I m driving to Sheehy Honda, Abdullah continuously texts are you almost here how far are you . I get it that the dealership closes at 7pm, but I am not the sales rep who agreed to stay. I must have forgotten that a seller must earn a buyer's business. I called in at 6:26pm to make an appointment for 7:15pm and Abdullah agreed.

When I get there, he starts with his spiel, "this car was about to sell out...a lot of people have been asking for it". I told him flat out I didn't care for that--if the car sells, so be it and I will go look at 20 other dealerships that have hundreds of the exact same car.

I am not sure how this vehicle passed the 100+ point inspection Honda raves about when it had multiple scratches on the body (one scratch/dent was bad enough that it was causing rust on a passenger door).

When I asked to take the car for a test drive (more importantly on the highway), he states that I can do that tomorrow after putting down a deposit (and reminds me of Sheehy's 3-day return policy). After compromising, he finally agreed to let me drive it around the block, literally up the road, around the block and back to the parking spot. Maybe 5 minutes passed since I arrived and he was already taking me to his cubicle.

I told him I was ready to buy in cash and had looked at 5 other lots same day (first thing he asked over the phone was whether I would pay cash or finance---I told him OTP the payment method for the transaction is not a concern). As we are sitting down, he mentioned he forgot my name--I pointed to the piece of paper that showed my information (another example of how rushed the introduction was rushed).

He tried to add on a $845 warranty even though the car was 'Honda Certified Pre-Owned' and already came with a manufacturer's extended warranty. He replied, oh sorry that was a typo from a previous manager .

He told me countless times that he would not nudge on the price and didn t even check with his sales manager when I asked multiple times. When I asked him for a copy of the offer he said No. That s when I walked out. I don't expect every company to lower their price, but a professional approach is expected.

Am I supposed to make a decision for the second largest purchase in one's life, with this kind of Sales rep?

Completely rushed, unprofessional, and most importantly there was no care or attention given. Felt as salesy as you can get!

Be warned before you meet with Sheehy Honda.

Told me my water pump needed replaced. Took it to another shop for a 2nd opinion and turned out they were lying, nothing was wrong with my pump and 15,000 miles later still running fine. They also charge 2x more than most other shops to do work that is not reliable and sometimes I question if they actually did anything.
Edit: Been 9 months. Water pump is still working like a champ... Don't think the manager can fix this one. Draw your own conclusions about this place.

Rachael Higgins is an outstanding helpful service manager at Sheehy Honda of Alexandria. She is extremely helpful knoweldgeable and patient. She exceeded my expectation while I was having my car serviced there. Her professionalism makes her unique individual and valuable asset for the company. I will surely visit her again to continued my Honda Pilot, and Honda Accord Hybrid service there.I wish her all the best.

My wife and I recently bought a used car from Sheehy in Alexandria. The experience was very good. Probably one of the best car buying experiences we have had.

Herland Chavez was our sales man. We recommend Herland if you want to buy a great used car. He did a great job. No pressure. He made the experience fun.

Jim one of the mangers was great as well. He was very friendly. Erica in fiance was able to get us the price we needed. An all-around great experience.

We would recommend this dealership.

I agreed to a price for a car only to have $500 added at signing. Sales manager claimed the phone recordings proving the agreed price was unavailable. I waited over two hours to sign the paperwork. I doubt losing a return customer was worth $500.

The good: got a decent price on the exact car I wa...

The good: got a decent price on the exact car I wanted, and after five months, the car's still great.

The bad: they tacked a $2,600 service contract onto my deal without ever asking me or telling me it was there (I noticed in the fine print a month later, when I wondered why my payment was higher than it should have been), and the finance manager, Jose, is HORRIBLY rude on the phone. My fiance cosigned on the car with me, and when I called Jose to have the warranty removed, he yelled at me that I was an idiot woman who knew nothing, so put my husband on the phone and he'd only deal with him, despite me telling him it was MY car and MY money. He hung up on me seven separate times! I had to call the general manager and have him take care of the problem, because the rest of the sales and finance staff seems so incompetent.

I would never recommend this dealership to anyone!!

As a first time car buyer, this has been a horrible experience.
Upon buying my car, I was very satisfied with the low APR rates they offered me for a brand new Accord, and left the dealership very excited. However after the purchase, things quickly went downhill. It s been three months of my having this car now and I still do not have a license plate. Why? To make a long story short, DC won t let me register my vehicle there because I am a college student under my dad s insurance in GA (if you want a DC plate, your insurance, tag, and license must be in DC would ve never known until after they initially declined my finance plan because my insurance isn t in DC), so when I switched my title to GA after being advised by a (former) employee that I should be fine with my current Drivers License and information and using my dad s address in GA, wrong. Now, I am dealing with getting calls during class from representatives for GA Registration that my registration cannot be processed because the address provided to them was my DC address. It is so incovenient that I had to drive from DC to GA, a 10 hour drive, and am missing school to JUST NOW get my proper drivers license. Their staff needs better & more proper training because if I knew this was an issue from the jump, I would have gotten my license changed months ago. The GM, who didn t state his name when I was just on the phone, had nothing positive & had no interest in compensating me for the huge inconvenience of consistently having to drive back to the dealership to get new temp tags, or for me now having to take away from my life to come to GA. I m very displeased with their customer service, so just beware, especially if you re a first time buyer and a college student like I am.

At the end of the day, I was going to give them my money and buy a car. Now, I want nothing to do with this dealership because of their incompetence and poor customer service values. Oh! And on top of that, now I m missing class and running around 4 states down to deal with something I could ve had handled in July, had they just been transparent with me. Not looking forward to going back to get my 4th paper tag

They were very courteous and extremely helpful, I can most definitely say that Vijay and Ruben went out of their way to help me out. I greatly appreciate there hard work and look forward to bringing my vehicle back in for service!

They scammed me. I put down a down payment and sign the contact with everything approved. I leave the country (they knew I was leaving) and then they tried to reposses my car without any notice. This all being after I signed the contract. The finance lady also comes in when she wants (late) and doesn't give you the time of day. Be careful with these people. If you're young they will scam you.

Simply the best! My guy (Ruben Guzman) came through with a great deal for me. This is my first time purchasing a new vehicle and would recommend them to anyone!! The whole experience is first class. The final handoff was terrific, he was very patient while I did the test drive for a used vehicle then changed my mind and decide to purchase a new one and did another test drive. Will continue to go to them for my car needs! I only wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!!

I must say that Sheehy Honda customer service (finance and tag/title dept) is the worst that I have ever seen in my entire car buying experience. What happen to picking up the phone and calling a person if something is wrong vs sitting on your butts! If purchasing a vehicle was like returning an item at a dept store I would take my vehicle back for return just because of the service I have received with these individuals. The saleman was great and he was able to get me everything I wanted in my car but unfortunately he couldn't help me through the finance part because I am for sure it would have been a smooth process vs. 30+ days and my tag paperwork is sitting on someones desk.

Don't do business with this dealership. Don't get caught in their tricks. My son spoke to a lady who sells Honda on the Internet, she held on to my car keys so that I could not leave the deal - which I was pretty pricy. I got to the dealership at 6pm and did not leave until close to 10PM. Although I told them I need to consider their office, they kept on pressuring me and I kept on asking for my car keys to leave... Their trick to holding your car keys is to keep you captive so that you would cave in and sign off on a bad deal. She told me that she needed my car key to get the miles on my car since I was thinking of a trade-in.

Purchased a 2019 on November 24, sales associate Farid was great! However, financing office Milenka Barey was the ABSOLUTE WORST person to work with. There was a deposit to be made and I provided a check but told her and GM Jason that there was no money available so please do not cash the check until settlement check came in from totalled car. Against everything thg at was discussed they verified and I received a call stating the check declined. I told them that per our conversation I asked that they not do anything with the check. Milenka made up some bogus reason what they were trying to verify. 1. To be sure my name was correct (seriously) 2. To be sure I can cash the check. This makes no sense. I have be communicating with her as she asked now all of a sudden she have not been getting my emails which I have been replying to from the first day one and I have a copy. Fast forward if you want to purchase from Sheehy Honda of Alexandia and you are sent to Milenka please ask for another fiance office. She tries to intimidate a person if she can, she very ride and she doesnt listen. This woman is the worst I have dealt with. I truly regret purchasing from this location.

I was interested in a 93 prelude they had for sale...

I was interested in a 93 prelude they had for sale. First, they were confused about the price which was 5999 on their website, but 4999 on FB marketplace. I asked which price was right and was told that the higher price was now the price due to the interest the car had developed from prospective buyers. Later, I got a call back and was told that the lower price was actually the price. So, looked again at the car (online) and the carfax. Carfax showed the car which has 100k on it, had the timing belt changed last at 55k, but 12 years ago. I asked the salesperson to change the timing belt as the car was already five years past what Honda says is the time limit for a timing belt replacement (84 months). As an aside, I owned a prelude back in the early 2000s and had a timing belt fail at 40k and couple of years. Destroys the engine! So, I told the sales person that I wouldn't drive the car off the lot and that they were selling a car (with assurances that the belt was ok) which was wrong and would leave a prospective buyer with a huge mechanical failure potentially shortly after purchase. I was told you get a three month power train warranty, only they didn't say that the power train warranty is voided if the timing belt fails causing the engine failure. Lastly, I offered to pay full price plus 300 extra to get the belt replaced. I was told no can do. This was yesterday. Today another guy called back and we went through the whole thing again, he again saying he would check to see if they would accept my offer. Nope, they didn't. So, no Prelude for me. I feel sorry for the poorly informed customer who trust them when they tell you all is good (we have the best technians!). If they are willing to do this, then what else are they willing to sell that is only a timing beat away from catastrophic engine failure?

From his initial email contact we knew he was the salesperson we wanted to do business with. He was transparent, open and honest. He was willing to do what it took to get our business and we appreciated that. We drove 40 miles further to buy from him because we wanted to give him our deal. We bought our car at Sheehy and had a good experience, we have had our cars serviced there and have had a stellar experience working with Vijay, the Service Manager here. He is the reason we keep returning to Sheehy for our service needs.

UPDATE: Have continued to have a great experience at Sheehy Honda because of now Service Director Vijay Krishna and his team, notably Rachel Higgins on his team. We moved not too long ago and have two other Honda dealerships between us and Sheehy, but we continue to make the trek because trust is something that is hard to come by.

Worst car shopping experience of my life.

Worst car shopping experience of my life.
They definitely use standard pressuring techniques to get you to buy.
They low balled us on trade ins.
We were there for 8.5 hours and had to make several trips back after the sale to fix several problems with the car and return warranties.
Paperwork took 6 hours to complete.
I had to manage my 9 month old for the whole 8.5 hours. We missed both lunch and dinner and nobody offered to help.
The car they sold us was determined to have a bad engine which, to their credit, they replaced free of charge.
Other break issues (smoking and burning smell) that were identified upon purchase were blown off. We later had to pay $1500 out of pocket to fix those issues.
If you shop here, bring an experienced car shopper. Although I would recommend just avoiding them altogether.

My husband and I both have bought our cars at this Sheehy and the only reason I am giving this facility a 2 star rating is because of the amazing sales staff. The problem lies in this service center. I was told my car would be worked on overnight because of a rock hitting my sensor. I understand how light refraction works and that the car needed to be brought in while no other cars are around. I was under the impression that it would be worked on that night but it was not. I don't care about waiting for the car it's just the breakdown in communication. Multiple signals were being sent and I just don't care for how the service center is run here. Awful.

Sheehy Honda was the first dealership I visited to...

Sheehy Honda was the first dealership I visited to lease the 2017 CR-V EX-L on May 26th. I initially spoke to Rita through TrueCar, who offered a mediocre quote to get us in the door. I saw that Roberto was highly recommended on DealerRatings, so I set up an appointment to meet him.

After negotiating for an hour or so, the quote was still too high. Two days later on May 28th, I spoke directly with Sina, the general manager. We came to an agreement over the phone.

He told us to come in that day (May 28th) by 5 PM to sign a lease contract. We arrived at 4:30 PM, when we requested to see Sina. Roberto told me that he "had just left", which was disappointing, since he told us that he would be there until 5 PM.

Roberto asked us what Sina had said, and we told him the exact quote that Sina agreed to over the phone. Roberto left and then returned shortly with an amount that was different then what we agreed on. Once we told him that it wasn't the correct amount, he left and then called Sina. Roberto returned with another quote closer to the agreed upon amount but still higher than what Sina quoted us over the phone.

The sales manager, Kevin, then spoke with us. He apologized and told us that he would throw in 3 free tanks of gas to make up for the higher rate we were given. He told us that Sina is an honest businessman, so we accepted that offer, but we told him that we would come back the next day to meet with Sina (we decided to give him another chance).

On Monday, May 29th, I called Sina to confirm. He clarified why the quote was higher than he originally stated on the phone (he forgot to include the taxes). We accepted the higher quote with the 3 free fill-ups, and went in a couple hours later to finalize. When we arrived, Sina did not meet with us. Roberto came over to let us know that they were working on finding us our desired color, make, and model. We waited for 15 minutes.

Mr. Jason Lee came over with Roberto to let us know that they couldn't find our desired vehicle color for up to 60 days. We told him that that was fine and we'd like to finalize the contract today and then we'll pick up the keys when the car arrived. However, we were informed by Mr. Lee that we couldn't fill out the paper work today because the price quote would not remain in effect "due to the interest rates" not being valid for that period of time.

Basically, the negotiated price quote we agreed upon was completely voided. We wasted three days and were given the run-around. The management and the sales team do not communicate well, and they just lost a Honda customer. These are not appropriate business practices, and we will not be back.

When you give a quote, you need to follow through. Just like with any job, you need to do what you say and build trust. My wife and I were highly disappointed, especially because this dealership was so highly rated.

So we bought our car about 3 months ago. We had an incredible experience with the our sales rep Ralph was incredible. He gave us a great experience.

But we encountered issues after with the management and the staff. While leaving the lot with our new vehicle. The head light went out. We had asked to have the vehicle serviced because we hadn t even left the lot. The maintenance department refused to service our vehicle because they were 15 minutes from closing. Even though we just purchased a vehicle. In the process we purchased a additional key from the dealer and told us it would be ready in 5 days. When we returned, we were told that we had to wait till the sales rep who serviced us, was back at work. So went back in forth for 2 weeks on the subject.



In that same process. She had asked about the key that we had ordered, they told her that they had the key, and they were going to get the key. To later find out the key was never ordered, and it was never there at the dealer to begin with. It was never ordered.

The sales manager, and the staff in this entire process, was very I knowledgeable in the entire process. They refused to talk.

Upon today, I went to the dealer. Expecting service, and the showing to the dealer to get something fix. The matenience team made smart sarcastic remarks. For example Here is part 2 and they all laughed and sat down when I pulled in. Resisting to service the vehicle. A service member that was away from them chose to service me.

I am so done with this dealership. They are so quick to take your money, but when it s time to do 90% of the job which is: Customers Service, they are terrible at it. Especially with Quality Assurances Training, I don t think any of them learned from the issues.

I advise no one to purchase a vehicle from here. And don t buy the VIP memebrship. It s not worth it.

Ayla Esengozhoeva was reccomend to me by a friend of mine. He also used Ayla to purchase a new car.

I must say she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She stayed the course know I was nervous about buying a new car.

This was the best experience I have has thus far buying a new car. It was not perfect but it was darn near close.

I would recommend her to family and friends anytime.

The entire staff went the extra mile to ensure the purchase of our 2015 Honda Odyssey met all our sales and trade in requirements. Our sales consultant, Larry was phenomenal...very professional, detail-oriented and caring. He facilitated the acquisition of our color preference in the EX-L from another dealership on short notice and in record time. Mehdi, the General Sales Manager, possessed a calm and generous demeanor - this provided the needed reassurance that I needed to seal the deal. Last but not least...our Finance and Insurance Director, Erica was STELLAR - her customer relations skills and administrative efficiency makes her the MVP for any business. Friendly staff. At first I had trouble with getting a hold of someone to help answer my question about my vehicle. I then got a phone call back from the general manager himself and he took care of everything. He called back when he said he would and he made sure all my questions were answered. Been taking my van here for 2 years now. Awesome awesome place! A+ for services as well!

We purchased a used Honda Pilot from Sheehy. Our sales consultant, Silkk had fantastic customer service. He was honest, friendly and went out of his way to make our buying experience easy and pressure free. He even bought us pizza when we had a long wait for our financing.
Erica, the Finance Director, made sure we had all the information but didn't try to up sell us on additional side coverage. We don't live close by, but we will definitely come back when replacing the next car.

Everyone here is great! Roberto and Michelle did a great job in helping us out and making sure that we got the best deal for our growing family, our needs, and our budget. Most dealers focus on selling you a car, the most expensive car. These guys didn't! Roberto took the time to listen to what I wanted and what I needed and it turned out that the car I wanted was not going to solve my problems! He explained the pros and cons of each vehicle option with me and helped me choose the right car for me. Michelle was great! She walked us through every step of the process for qualifying. She was amazing! She got us the best deal at zero down for a brand new vehicle! Took care of the appraisal of our lease and explained the results in detail. Absolutely amazing! I would, and do, recommend this dealer to anyone that asks! GREAT JOB, NICE PEOPLE, SMILES ALL AROUND!

We bought a new 2014 CR-V.

We hadn't planned on buying a new car this year, but a reckless driver who crashed into our car made us change our plans. After substantial research, we obtained three TrueCar certificates for a Honda CR-V. Within minutes of getting the certificates, we got an email from Mariela Ortega of Sheehy Honda, quoting a prices that was significantly better than any of the prices on the TrueCar certificates.

We visited Sheehy, test drove our preferred vehicle, and went inside to talk it over. What I feared, based on past car-buying experiences, would be protracted discussions leading to a "add-ons" that would increase the price well-above the price Mariela quoted, didn't happen. Mariela confirmed the price she had quoted to us a day earlier, and we agreed to take the car. Mariela was the best sales person I've dealt with in more than 30 years of buying cars. The gentleman who handled the processing provided similarly excellent service.

The rating is not a five because of the inordinate wait between when we agreed to purchase the vehicle and when we were out the door--over two hours more. The showroom did not appear particularly busy, so I assume there was some staffing issue. Mariela checked on us several times, and after "five more minutes" turned into another 45-minute wait, she gave us a voucher for another tank of gas.

I will visit Sheehy the next time I am car shopping.

I bought a nice Lexus GX470 from Sheehy Honda in Alexandria, VA yesterday. This is my 3rd car purchase from them including a BMW 330xi in 2012, and a Toyota Tundra In 2015, and I have always been throughly impressed with the entire staff at Sheehy Honda. They are all extremely professional, knowledgeable, and take time to answer all of your questions. They handled the entire car buying process smoothly in less than 45 minutes. The GM Sina, Kevin, Carl, Dean, Robert, Nasser and Service Manager VJ are all great people. They treat you honestly and fairly, give you their bottom line price upfront so there s no need to haggle, and they consistently beat all other dealers in price. So if you re looking to buy a car or truck, I highly recommend the team at Sheehy Honda Alexandria. These guys have made the car buying experience as simple and effortless as it gets.

I feel like I got a good price and was treated well. Communication was always direct, price quotes were straightforward and out-the-door price was clearly communicated up front and honored. One mistake was made by the dealer and they did the right thing by correcting it with minimal inconvenience to me.
