This is a good family place top eat at while in venice Florida. I'm not a sea food person so I stuck with the safe chicken fingers. For a family of 5 (4 adult &1 kid menu), the bill was $103.

Shawn, our bartender and server was excellent. I asked if he could make Hippie Juice, he had never heard of it, looked up the recipe and made it deliciously. I loved the outdoor atmosphere.

Went there this evening (6/15/19) with friends to take our husbands out for Fathers Day. Thank goodness our husbands food was alright but the rest of the food that was ordered (Captain Sharkys Platter $32.00 a piece and we ordered 2 of them) were horrible. The 3-4 shrimp was the only edible thing on the plate. The scallops and the grouper all burnt. Management came over to the table and looked at our plates and instantly said it was burnt. He then said he wasnt going to charge us for one of the burnt plates and they would make the food right for us ( I truely felt like they should have taken both burnt meals off the ticket but whatever, we were trying to have a nice evening). Well the food did come out not burnt but let me say it had zero flavor. Worst scallops and grouper ever. The tartar sauce was rancid with a brown ring around the tarter sauce so my friend let the management know about it very kindly. He was very willing to replace it (which she said she didn't want any since she was now worried about eating any of it) and then after all that she finds a hair in her baby red potatoes. Well as we get our bills, the management person we were speaking to now is trying to take back removing one of the meals off the bill. I let him know not to worry about it because our biggest concern was for our husbands to have a nice meal and nice evening so we paid the bill and let him know he would not be seeing us back there. The Management person we spoke to was not rude to us at all but just didn't seem to care at all. The waitress that we had was very sweet and we tipped her and thanked her. One of the husbands plates was the crab legs which he said was good and the other plate was the hognose fish plate which he also said was good. We really wanted to have a nice dinner and watch the sunset with our wonderful husbands and we were so thankful they enjoyed their meals but we definitely will not be going back to Sharkys On The Pier.

Rude people working there. This is a class A tourist trap. They don't care what you think so they don't try. Get an over priced, overwatered drink, enjoy and appreciate the great view, then go somewhere else for food.

I must admit I had a not so good 1st impression of this place because of the bartender, however I asked to be seated at a table and Morgan was my waitress and is the reason I'm giving the resturant a good review for service. The location is everything, right on the beach where you can watch the waves and the sunset. I would come back all because of the location and Morgan's great customer service.

We flew in with our small plane after reading raving reviews about the place. Called for the "free shuttle" from the airport. Three times. It never showed. When we arrived after walking over from the airport with our miniature Yorkie, we were only greeted with "No Pets Allowed!" Finally, we decided to use the outdoor seating area while leaving our little pooch waiting for us just outside the dining area. The service was quick, but the server botched both our orders for sides, bringing us both the wrong sides initially. The Capt's platter blackened seafood which I ordered was some of the most average, underwhelming fish, shrimp and scallops I've ever had. Very overseasoned. My wife ordered some thing else equally unimpressive.

We left feeling as if the place is very much skating along on a good reputation from the past. Definitely not something we'll recommend to anyone, although the location is cute. Yeah. Cute, but also not worth seeking out. All of us have been to many seafood shacks with more charm, better food, and much more realistic prices.

I have got to give credit where credit is due. The server named Wade was amazing. On his game from the moment we were seated. Recommended the swordfish so I ordered it double blackened and let me tell you it was one of the best prepared filets I have had. I should have taken a picture but I devoured it as soon as I saw it. The rest of the dishes where equally amazing and enjoyed by the group! Highly recommend and remember to ask for Wade.

I've been going to Sharky's since it opened over 30 years ago. Very disappointed this last trip. Granted, the fish was absolutely done perfectly, but that was the only redeeming quality. The prices are atrocious. I had the black bean cakes for $9. There was only one cake. My lunch was the Fiesta Fish Tacos. Like I said, the fish was great, but there was literally no fiesta to this "taco." There was next to no cheese, pico, or anything else on this plain tortilla. It wasn't even placed on the grill for a few moments. Sadly, because of these things, I don't think I'll be going back. We paid $100.00 for lunch for 4. For $20 more than that, we could have gone to Fins and had a much better meal.

Take an fantastic view of the gulf and Florida Coastal Cuisine and you get Fin's by Sharky's. Sharky's has long been the go to Florida beach restaurant but with the addition of Fin's you now get an upscale eatery with even a better view. You can have custom cocktails on the balcony or move inside. They have a nice sushi bar along with many seafood specialty. Went for Savor Sarasota which they have extended for much of the summer. Had a 3 piece sushi appetizer, shrimp tacos and ice cream sundae all for $16. YUM.

Jerk chicken was very dry and had no flavor that we couldn t even finish one piece. We would ve been more satisfied with the chicken off the shelf at the grocery store. Mixed drinks were ok. Will not return

Excellent, fresh seafood. Service was great, alcoholic drinks were awesome. Ambiance was realxing, definitely can't beat the view! I took off one star because there is a long snake living under the outdoor dining section and our daughters, who are 5 and 8, almost stepped on it. This is a known issue, according to staff, so they should really re-home this reptile. otherwise, this place is worth the visit!

The beer prices are way overpriced. For two domestic beers in a 12 ounce plastic see-through cup (same cup you get $1 drafts at your local watering hole), those two beers were over $11. My wife had a bottle of Mich Ultra in a bottle which cost $6. For a family of five it s very pricey. If taking three kids and two adults, expect to pay over $100. I posted once and the post was removed. We ll see if it stays up this time! They apparently don t like when you mention there 500 percent mark-up on the drinks!!! On the other hand, the food is pretty good. We ve eaten there a few times and we were happy with our food choices. It was our second visit when we realized the beer prices. Great atmosphere with a nice view.

Popular beach restaurant and outside bar , inside and outside seating overlooking pier and beach. No reservations. Wait staff attentive, friendly, and wearing COVID19 masks. Menu typical for a beach place , but has a few lobster dishes and fresh fish. Had seafood platter with shrimp, scallops and halbut, Cole slaw and French fries. Seafood was good, French fries mediocre. Live music sometimes.
