This was a great find. Seemed a little off the beaten path but sure was a lot of fun, really great food and the views of the intercoastal are awesome. If you time it right you can catch the sunset!

I have no idea why they have a 4.3 star !!!!

The place has great views, except when you're sitting at the bar because the wonderful slushy drinks that they make are in the way of the view. Food is good have never had a problem with that. The bartenders are great.

stopped here two weeks ago on our tour of the gulf coast. i have to say i have no idea why this restaurant is so popular except that it's by the pier and on the water. the food was awful, very greasy and of very poor quality. the sweet potato fries were overcooked and hard, the drinks were uninspiring and had little flavor, the nachos were just cheap corn chips loaded with cheese and a small handful of everything else. the peanut butter pie was odd tasting, not good and rich like i have had in other places. the salad wasn't good either. the "balsamic vinaigrette" i had was thick and tasted like flour paste and my burger was overcooked with no flavor. also the service was sketchy as if no one there seemed to know or care about anything except just showing up. the prices are ridiculous for what you get too, small portions on big plates. we didn't even know why our bill was so high since we didn't even order 2 full meals. and i know this is a personal thing but i found the music to be annoying as well. with a nice view sometimes you want something a little calmer and quieter so you can just hear the waves and take it all in. the music here was a loud thumping annoying mix. on top of everything else, we both had bad stomach aches when we left. a bad experience all around.

Great food with a view! It was a bit of a bummer when we sat down wind from the bar and ended up with smoke in our faces, but the view of the sunset over the ocean and the shrimp nachos more than made up for it!

The most important aspects of a restaurant is food...

The most important aspects of a restaurant is food, service, atmosphere and cleanliness. Sharky's hits a few of these points. The food is good, the bathrooms are clean. Atmosphere is of course beachy and you feel pretty good and welcomed, but by the right people. What was a bit distasteful was the service. Our server didnt want to be at work today. He was emitting unfriendliness. Barely even a friendly smile. Now the table over had an up beat waitress who gave smiles and even made jokes here and there. Every other server was all smiles and good attitude. Except our server and another server who was rude to us. Now the biggest aspects of a restaurant is service and food. If the service is bad regardless of how good the food is, you wont have people return. I give a strong 3/5 because of this unwelcomed feeling our server gave. Perhaps another go would be a better experience.

I had my fave delicious meal of fried shrimp today at Sharkey's along with the Venice Sailing Club group. Service and food was outstanding. It was a long walk for me at 89 from the curb all the way around the buildings to our outside table which was steps away from the street where the entrance is now blocked next to the walkway to the beach. #89IsFine

Great location, the food is good and a good portion but certain items are a bit pricey depending on what you order. The place gets packed around 12-12:30 as people start to roll in for lunch so if you can beat the crowd and get there around 11:30 you will get a table with a better view.

Was with elderly person. Asked waiter to have heater turned on. He said Mgr. Would not ,but would provide blankets instead.
Poor resolution to issue

Understandably, this place is always packed, since it s one of the only restaurants on the beach in the area. Expect 45 min+ wait time at a minimum. The waiter was really great with our son and very nice. The food is good, but the atmosphere is what makes this such a great spot eating close to the beach.

Waited over 40 minutes for food that never arrived while watching 2.other tables who came in long after us get served thier food. Received a greasy appetizer of onion rings...pools of grease on bottom. Very disappointed considering there was 45 minute wait to be seated and what they charge for their food....

Great Atmosphere and Service!! We sat on the patio and watched the sunset. We had the Crab stuffed mushrooms and Lobster Artichoke Dip for appetizers. A couple of us Had the Fish and Chips the other had Shrimp Scampi pasta everything was DELICIOUS! We were in our beach attire so its causual downstairs....upstairs they have a restaurant called Fins that is fancier and I'm sure equally amazing.

Sharky's is much larger than our last visit. Check out the A-conditioned 2nd floor. Always enjoy the food, service is good. This is one week after Irma and the pier was closed. Go check out Sharkey's for yourself!!!

Beautiful spot. Unfortunately 5.25 for a bottle of beer is ridiculous. It's fine for tourists, but locals should get a break. Show your Florida license get a 3.00 beer or something like that. Too many other places to go and pay less.

Too long of a wait for just ordinary sea food . Our waited was the best Zackary ,very funny . But honestly the food was not worth the price . Atmosphere was very loud, the band was good,. But the prices were very overboard.

OK Sure you might have to wait a bit for a table - sure you pay a little more. But the view and atmosphere are well worth it. We go down to venice 2-3 times a year and always make it to Sharkeys. Going tomorrow and just thinking about the drive right now and kicking back at Sharkeys and watching the world go by puts a smile on my face.

1st time i went to sharkys the food sucked.. I decided to go a 2nd time...OMG the food is horrible no taste no seasoning just a bunch of batter on everything what an overkill of batter.. we spent 171 for garbage..I will never go back to that place they need to replace the chef or something..my 12 yr old son says the burger was so bland..wasted my money on mothers day..left all my food...mad as hell..sharkys is over rated maybe becasue it's by the beach other wise it's a no for me Alex..

Only went for drinks and they didn't seem happy that we didn't sit at the outside bar. But it was pouring rain and I'm not a duck! Drinks were good but very pricey. Some of the waitstaff showed real attitude but a couple were very friendly and pleasant.

A unique Venice experience. This Is all about location. Right on the beach where Venice pier juts into the ocean. Very senic. Sharky's has done major changes and upgrades through the years. Outside seating has grown majorly. Fins was added for upscale dinning. The roof patio bar is open, for a drink with a view.
The food is good. Service spotty when it is really busy, but still very friendly.
A must go if you are visiting Venice!
