Located and view is great,food with just ok, service was slow.

Really enjoyed Venice Beach and planned our day to include this little gem with wonderful beach views and lobster boil with live entertainment on Thursdays!

The food and drinks are sooooo overpriced it's offensive. Unbeleivable. Two stars only because of the location, atmosphere and friendly staff.

it still smell like dead fish...don't bother going.

Excellent place to eat we ate at Finn's upstairs and the food was awesome. And also the view we got to set right out where the beaches and got to see the dolphins play in and also the little babies I would recommend highly

I moved to Venice.beach 4 years and love it . Had to leave for work but soon I will return to finish out my time in one of the most beautiful places I been .

Sharkys is a favorite for everyone who i talk to about them. People see my new t shirt from there and they automatically have so much great stuff to say. The food is plentiful and not too expensive. They have a bucket drink there that is awesome and not weak in any way. They dining is nice because they seat you right over the water. The scenery is amazing. I love Sharkys and the staff are great too. The blond lady is so great she treats you like you are family and comes back and forth quite a lot to make sure everything is up to your satisfaction. I will definitly make sure i go back. These pics are from our dining table. Great job Sharkys youve created memories for me and my family that we will never forget.

Awesome grouper wrap, came back the next day to get it again with edamame side. So delicious and great service at the bar.

Ran into so many issues during our trip to Florida, but our trip to Sharkys made up for it!!! Absolutely beautiful at sunset. Sat at the bar had excellent service! Would move to Florida just to have the experience over and over

Great place, scenery is awsome, top notch, friendly, efficent staff, good drinks, food arrived as ordered, hot and very good. Plan on $20 - $30 per plate at dinner time, but well worth it, will visit again, thank you.

My kids took us there for Father's Day. My son ordered the chicken tenders, my daughter ordered the black & blue hamburger, and my husband & I ordered the fish & Chips. My kids' food turned out ok if a bit over-priced for what you were getting but the ambiance is really nice. We sat by the beach on the deck overlooking the water. The fish was undercooked - chewy, not flaky at all. This wasn't just one meal, it was both. Also, the grease was floating on the plate - a real turn-off. We were so happy when we got there we were actually saying we should come back at least once a month, but now - maybe to the beach, but I think we'll pass on Sharky's. To their credit, they did take off both meals, so my kids didn't end up paying for raw fish. But, of course, nobody would pay for undercooked rubber raw fish. Clearly, the owners of this restaurante don't really care about customers. I contacted them on their website and never heard back and it seems that they only respond to positive 5 star reviews and not the problems they clearly have. Just scroll down to the other reviews and you will see what I mean. There are many restaurants in Sarasota County on the water that have excellent food, unfortunately this isn't one of them. Since they screwed up our 2 lunches the least they could have done was taken off the one $8 Pina Colada that my husband had. Unfortunately, they are all about profits and not customer service or food quality. What is shocking is this is a seafood restaurant and they couldn't even cook the fish properly! That's really pathetic. To top it off, this happened on Father's Day. The reason I gave Sharky's 2 stars and not 1 is because of the view - not the food. The food deserved a 0. Our waitress was also quite unfriendly and acted like we were bothering her. Not a good experience at all. Sharky's on the Pier is extremely over-rated.

Mediocre tourist food. Nice view. Live singer was good but way too loud. Outside seating area was too hot with no airflow; needs ceiling fans. Cumbersome and counter intruative setup to reserve a table and then get seated. Could be so much better with some thought.

I went to the beach it from what I hear this place has amazing food

I had coconut shrimp my wife had crab cakes on a salad, couple beers and we were good to go

I love this restaurant. The food and drinks are good, and the view is spectacular!!! If you've never been to Venice then Sharky's is a MUST-GO!

They have a historic pier you can walk out on to get a better view of the water. It's a perfect spot to take in the sun and stay for the sunsets. Many people fish from this pier. Occasionally you will see a dolphin perhaps, especially during sunset.

They expanded their building and open a second restaurant. I believe it's called Fin's or Finn's. I've never been there. Sharky's is a very casual restaurant. You can walk in straight off the beach and get service. I THINK Fin's is a little more formal. Not too much - you may have to put clothes on over your swimsuit lol. Fin's menu probably has a more expansive menu therefore they have several entrees not on Sharky's menu.

Both restaurants are right on the beach with fabulous views. Very relaxing. Next door is public beach access. And then about a block away is a park with a playground that also leads to the beach. There is a dog park on the other side of Sharky's too.

Because of everything that both restaurants offer (especially being on the beach), the prices are a little higher than restaurants not on the beach. The prices are still affordable; just some things you'll see are like a dollar or two higher.

At night Sharky's has live music or if not, they at least have music playing. It is a very good time and people get up and dance and have a blast!

I would leave the kids at home at night so the fun continues. However the restaurant is very family oriented and during the day it would be great to stop in and get a bite after spending time on the beach with your children.

Food is always amazing! But the wait last night was horrible we waited over 3 hours for a table when they originally told us it'll be just a little over an hour..

Kala gave good service and my wife liked her meal, but my scampi was mediocre. Wouldn't drive an hour from Tampa again.

This is a must visit for food, drinks or just the view. I visit every time. Get the blue margarita, I do! But don't order it from the tall blonde behind the bar, she was rude to everyone in front of me. Questioned my out of state ID and wouldn't let me order a drink for my 76 year old mother until she was standing next to me...twice.

The setting is incomparable looking out over the to the gulf. The menu is surprisingly varied. I had Cobia for the first time and it was delicious. Our server, Kevin, did his duties just right. What was most surprising, the bill was very reasonable.

Great place to grab a drink and enjoy the ocean breeze. The drinks are slightly overpriced.

Nice atmosphere and setting , however the coconut shrimp wasn t any good at all in our opinion. They looked fantastic but not so much, over cooked and not much flavor . The coconut shrimp at MYAKKA oyster bar blew it away. 10 times better. The grouper wrap was a 4.5 out of 10 at sharkys.

Fins at Sharkys was an excellent evening for my wife's birthday.. fantastic all around..

It's a tourist trap. Very neat atmosphere that attracts tourists one time, which is all it needs to do. The food is not good. I ordered a hot dog because it was affordable and it was not good. My side of mashed potatoes wasn't either. My dad's grouper tasted like frozen cardboard. Few of us in our party of 7 cared for our meal. Service was fine though.

This is the only place on Venice Beach to dine. The atmosphere is beachy, food is okay, price is outrageous! Yet we always go for one meal while we're in Venice.

It was great fun sitting at the bar, and seeing the waves. I think I enjoyed that more than the meal!

I like coming after 5 pm go to the beach for a while then have a drink and an appetizer....

Loved everything about it! Eat lunch then sun-bathe and swim in glorious aquamarine colored water!

Right on the beach, this fun restaurant has great views, but it can be busy. Insider tip: There are seat yourself "drinks only" tables right at the edge of the beach, South of the bar, and they're often available even when there place is hopping!

Atmosphere is great.. Our waiter was the best! Menu is overpriced in my opinion. I was disappointed in the menu options also. I had my heart set on coconut shrimp. Overall it was a fun day with family visiting from Connecticut.

Every time I come to Venice a trip down the boardwalk and some lobster artichoke dip is a must. Happy travels to all!
