Good sandwich, great view, and very basic service. Very pricey but can be managed!!

Sharky's is overrated! It's on the beach, but you don't really see it. Crowded, with waits that can be long. We kept being told that our appetizers would be out anytime now, but they came out with our appetizers. Our sweet potato fries were cold and the food was expensive and did not impress. I felt that $17 for a Grouper wrap with fries was on the expensive side, especially for Florida. Guess one is paying for the beachside location. One positive, a manager came to ask us how things were, and upon hearing our comments, replaced the sweet potato fries and comped the appetizer. We didn't even have to ask. That's good customer service!!

Love this place but its kinda expensive but then again what isn't nowa days?

Asked for a surprise me beer, was brought a IPA, was good, ordered peel and eat shrimp, wouldn't recommend it, no taste, had plenty of season on it but when peeled , it had 0 taste. Had the waiter surprise me with dinner, it ended up being , I think...Ginger thai Chicken and shrimp on rice. It was great. All in all, it was a 4.9 out of 5. Thank you

Food was cooked right but lacked some seasoning and was a bit soggy

Great atmosphere, delicious food (I always order Seafood Rainforest: rice onions scallops shrimp green peppers mango) breathtaking beach views, long pier to stroll on...just a perfect Florida evening.

Nice place right on the Gulf and Venice Pier!! I love that they have live music!! Still extremely crowded even on weekdays!!! The drinks leave a lot to be desired. Don't ask for Vodka martini because you just end up with SMALL plastic cup of straight Vodka not even a hint of vermouth!! Food is good, staff is friendly and helpful except for bartender!! Since we live just a few blocks away very convenient!! Been coming here a lot over the years!! Mostly for tourists and snowbirds, but nice for a change of pace!!!! Enjoy!!

This place is Wonderful and everyone had awesome hospitality, very delicious food and good prices.

For the cost of say keep your money and go elsewhere. The filet mignon instead of med - rare came out med - well, 28$. The prime rib tasted like cardboard, 30$. The last time we were there the snow crab were old.
I would have given only one star if it were not for our nice waitress.

Lots of action at this sprawling restaurant with lots of outdoor dining and tiki bars. Great place to watch the sunset! They are very accommodating for gluten free diets and the menu is varied. Our Flounder wrapped around lobster was excellent!

Good food and awesome atmosphere. Eat with a view of the beach then walk out to the breathtaking views from the pier. You can fish or enjoy the beach all day without going hungry!

Lunch at Fins at Sharky s was excellent! Incredibly friendly staff and delicious first tacos.

Location is good. Service is good. Live music when I was there on Tuesday evening was good. Place is a dive seriously overdue for a thorough clean and fresh paint. The 'walk the plank' entree which they consider one of their signature meals was bland to the point of having no flavor at all. Seemed like a waste of good piece of fish.

Great location on the beach. The ahi tuna was very good. The mahi mahi tacos we're ok. The fish was fresh but I've had better fish tacos.

Yes! You read that right. As former resident and a frequent visitor of the Venice area I am familiar with the area and places to eat. In saying that I knew that when I went there no to have expectations to high as the food is not great. I go only for the atmosphere of being on the water.

Our waiter was fantastic; however, when I received my meal there was a cockroach in my broccoli. The manager WANDA came over and rather than apologize for my experience she was very argumentative in regard to the type of bug (she claims it was a Beatle). Regardless, there was a bug in my food and I am positive it was a cockroach. The manager was very rude and insisted that it was not a cockroach and completely ignored the fact that it came out of my food. Worst experience I have ever had.

Very tasty food, I would recommend the Grouper Wrap or the Swordfish Taco. Very busy place be prepared to wait for a table. But well worth the wait.

Absolutely the worst dinner I've ever had. This may be a great burger and hot dog stand for beach goers in the season but they shouldn't try cooking above that grade. Out of 9 people in our party, none enjoyed their meal....and the service left much to be desired as well.

Great food. A little pricey but atmosphere was worth it. Will visit again soon.

Wasn't impressed with this place, very overrated. And expensive. It was directly on the beach and the pier. They had live music and played some games with the crowd.

Good food and excellent service. Blackened Fish Tacos were good but the Quinoa side was even better.

Food was great, service was fast and our server was very friendly and helpful.

Loved coming here and sitting by the water. Be prepared for a wait, but it is worth it. The sunsets are amazing and they usually have a live band. You can go and walk on the pier while you wait for your table as well and watch the dolphins! We even saw someone catch a shark.

This is a fun environment, we sat inside for dinner. The service was ok. The food was ok for the price. If you are looking for a quite place this is not it. It can be very loud inside the restaurant. Outside space has a bar and tables as well. They do have live music. We walked on the fishing pier to the end, it s lovely . I highly recommend it, especially at sunset.

Great place right on the beach. Had the fish & fries. They were delicious. The margarita was perfect. It wasn't watered down or anything.

Great place to go before or after swimming in the ocean. Good mixed drinks and food great. Seats outside on beach amazing, i make a trip everytime in florida.

The atmosphere is wonderful. Entertainment Is great. Food was good. But Way overpriced. Some servers wearing mask. Others wearing mask around their necks or improperly. Our service was great. I watched a "busboy" go towards a table to wipe it down. He tossed the rag towards the table but missed, the rag dropped to the ground. He quickly picked it up shook it off and wiped the table with it. No spray, no new sanitized rag. As there was no management around to tell this to. This is not only unprofessional, But extremely unsafe. You would think with a Pandemic going on, there would be Extra precautions. I was very disappointed in this. Sunday October 18, around 8pm. The young man was wearing a black shirt. Nice area, a bit crowded.

We arrived shortly after a rain storm, so the initial stated wait time from the host (90 minutes) was actually only 5 minutes. I liked that they had 2 hosts, one for indoor and the other for outdoor seating. It did seem a little More

Normally this place is amazing but tonight it was awful. Went there with my husband, my 5 year old and my 2 month old. The wait was 90 minutes. That is ok not a big deal..the big deal is when it s been longer then 90 minutes and you go to check where your name is they say it will be around 20 mins but probably not even that long..30 minutes go by and we check again and they say another 20 minutes. We wait 20 more minutes then i see people that got checked in after us get seated before us. When i approached the hostess station the manager looked at me like she wasn t going to seat us until she saw the look in my face and she said she can seat us now. Doesn t stop there. We get sat under the tent in no mans land and the waitress was great the only good thing but the food took forever to come out!!! Lastly my son dropped and broke the glass vinegar bottle and when I went to the manager to ask for someone to come sweep she looked at me and said ok with a short attitude and then after i said there is glass she said she ll get someone to come clean it. We were there for about 3-3 1/2 hours total. Ridiculous. My husband and i think sharkys is going downhill. Managers don t even seem to care. If you have all the time in the world and it s just you and your significant other then sharkys is fine but don t take a family here. Dessert? No thanks we ll pass.

The red tide caused the beach to be riddled with dead fish along the shoreline causing an excruciating odor that cause everyone whom was present to begin gagging and uncontrollably coughing.

Great atmosphere, food, views, and the beach. Don't forget to take a walk on the beautiful pier. Bring a bathing suit and beach chair to enjoy the full experience.

Great food and service. Had the Thai shrimp and chicken over fresh vegetables and it was a delicious enormous portion. I didn't leave so much as a drop of sauce on my plate....mmmmmm!

Well in the years we've been coming here, this was the most disappointing. We waited 2 hrs to be seated than were seated in an over crowded room where we were bumped and prodded constantly. I wanted a grouper wrap but got a chicken wrap instead. I thought it was just bad grouper. Looked forward to going but was disappointed.

Appetizers and drinks were very good. Waiter did a great job. Great atmosphere.
