Seating is tough to get but the scallops were as I would have expected. They were very good.

I love Sharky's! We come here every time we are in Sarasota, and have sent family and friends here as well. Always excellent food and great staff! Wasn't able to go all the way out on the pier due to repairs from last years hurricane, but still enjoyed the visit!

Looks like a lot of fun, but the wait on President's Day was 1 - 1.5 hours for any table service, with a long line at bar also. So we only walked the pier and explored the beach.

Good for sunset. Food and service is fair. Outdoor seating is a plus.

Always a go to spot when family is in town. Sad to say they used to have three types of fish tacos on the menu. A white fish, mahi mahi, and swordfish but no longer have the white fish. Got the fish and chips which was a little disappointing as the 3 fish pieces were on the small side on my plate, but two other people in my party had the same and there pieces were much bigger than my portions.

Bar, pier, bar, warm water, bar, restaurant and bar, don't swim by the pier though. Always a visit every time I get to florida....

Had two great meals while we were. The first was fish and chips. It was so well done. II was a lobster dinner cooked to perfection.

My wife surprised me with a night out at Sharky's, everything was great!

Been here alot over the years, Good food, Great service just is always busy this time of year and never fun to wait 45 mins but usually worth it.

Sharky's is a good place to have a drink. The food is lacking. Usually cold or non-tasting. Very blah. Great view of the ocean. Sitting in the bar, restaurant area and on the sand of the beach.

Wow. Simply an amazing experience for us.

First of all, Luis, our server, was an absolute delight! He was so knowledgeable and helped us to pick out some sushi for some first timers. Excellent recommendations that were amazing.

That leads into the food. Again, wow. Prepared to perfection, it could not have been better. Great atmosphere with a wonderful view. Could not have been better.

Staff great help, prices say $6 1/2 is really $7. Odd pricing on bottled beers.

Only reason it received 2 stars was for the view. Our server was very rude...we had to ask other servers for plates, bread,and even to go boxes. We even had to grab our own silverware.

This is a major tourist attraction. It has great beachy vibes with a Tiki Bar & the Venice fishing pier but the food is mediocre & over priced. On too of that it's usually packed so good luck getting a parking spot or a seat at the bar.

This is the Taj Mahal of piers. Can't wait to get back here

Poor management! The atmosphere and view is great but the food had little to no seasoning. My fish was oily and the shrimp was over cooked. Food was over priced too.

Fabous spot in Venice for a few drinks on the beach. Right on the waterfront with spectacular views. Great food and drinks at a reasonable price...little more up scale on the upper floor (Fins) if your looking for something less casual. Highly recommended!!

We have been going to Sharky's ever since our son Tony was a young boy. We now have his daughter Jaidyn (Our granddaughter) joining us for a great meal and music after a day at the beach where our family goes diving and looking for fossil shark teeth and then we watch the sunset. We will be back this weekend. Get the Grouper, Beach Fries, and a Heinaken ready for me.

Busy. Long wait and not worth it. Food is good but not outstanding.

Meh....OVERRATED no taste fried garbage. Bands are decent but not a draw for me.

The food here is solid, but the service can be hit or miss. During season, this place can get packed to long wait times and this generally affects food quality as well. Don t miss the sweet potato fries and dill sauce, they re a great combination.

Best view in town, right smack dab on the Gulf of Mexico. Live entertainment, Tiki bar, fishing pier, beach! Spend the day!

Sharky's On The Pier is an awesome restaurant. I read several bad reviews online, and I'm glad I ignored them. They have excellent seafood and great service, all in an absolutely beautiful setting. I highly recommend this restaurant!

A great atmosphere with excellent food and reasonably priced!! Definitely make a reservation before you plan to visit, we were seated right away!! They happened to have trivia night while we were there and it was a great addition to our evening!!

Sharkey's is my favorite place to go! The atmosphere is perfect, the food is great, the fishing pier is neat, the beach is clean and the view is wonderful! I love Sharkey's!!!

Food is amazing. The calamari and sweet potatoe fries with the dill sauce. To die for. Also pina colodas and deck runners daiquiris are deff a must have.

The service was pretty bad and the beaches are not so good

Lunch was fresh and delicious! My colorful salad was served with a homemade dill ranch dressing- so good! We also had the spicy buffalo wings and chicken quesadillas that were equally scrumptious! Love the location- lunch on sunny Venice beach is a slice of heaven. We love the casual, comfortable atmosphere here...makes it easy to sit and linger for a while

The sunsets are amazing!!! The restaurant/food are ok. Nothing spectacular but it s more about the ambiance.

Great location. I would go here for drinks but not to eat. I think they should completely renovate the outdoor bar. The bartenders at the outdoor bar are not friendly and actually pretty rude! I sat at the bar and one said that I could not sit there to order a drink. He directed me to get up and stand in line to order a drink. I have no idea what that was about but ... no.....not standing on a line to order a cocktail when there's empty seats at the bar. * We really enjoy eating at Fins upstairs. Excellent bartenders and servers...food is very good there. Not sure why there is such a disparity in service when both restaurants are owned by the same people...surely they can see the problems w/Sharkey's..not only with service but w/food quality*

Amaizing beach and an amaizing restaurant, its gorgeous watching the sunset while you eat.

Sharkey's is one place we always visit when in Florida. Fun place, great atmosphere and good food.

Very nice beach and restaurant. Expect to pay "tourist" prices for average to good bar food.

I love Sharkys! Our server rocked and the view was incredible. This Oklahoma girl would so go back!

It is for tourists the view is nice I had a grouper wrap it was good. Had a hour to kill so walked on pier before my meeting.

Me and my family came for dinner on our vacation. I was rudely told to leave the sitting area near the bar because I was a few months shy, I wasn t drinking and obviously was just resting while we waited for 40 minutes to be seated. I had to sit far away from my family and only reason I m really upset was because of how he approached me and because I m in high heels and would of liked to rest my feet while waiting. Don t recommend this place if your looking for a friendly environment to enjoy dinner in Florida!!!

Wait was bad food was terrible and expensive for what it was

They are a bit over priced, but I like that you can walk up to the bar and order from the beach. The roof top addition is nice (bathing suits are no problem up there).

Went in the early afternoon for lunch and sat outside. Tables with umbrellas are first come, first serve. Other tables need to be reserved. The view is wonderful, service very professional and capable, the food good, the prices decent.

Had a drink and sandwich at lunch on a weekend. The bartender was busy, so didn't get to chat much (and was just a tad distracted by everything going on), but was extremely friendly.
I will go back for dinner and try some of their Sushi.

Always a great time. They are stricter on the dogs now which is annoying but the dog beach is still AMAZING!

Great restaurant, with a amazing view! Located right on the Gulf of Mexico, with a pier to soak in paradise! Our food was excellent and delicious. They have a great selection, and the service was outstanding! My wife didn't like her first plate and they replaced it no questions asked! Our waiter along with the other staff couldn't have been more courteous, professional, and efficient! Worth the visit year round, highly recommended!

Sharky's has solid seafood with a great variety of choices. The location is awesome and sitting outside is highly recommended if the weather is nice. You can sit on their patio and watch the sun set while enjoying some great food and drinks. There's not much else to say about this great local spot!

Food is average we really only go for the beach views. I know someone who as worked at Sharky's and was told they have a high turnover rate. The food is not consistent and have noticed it as well.

Great seafood on the pier. A tradition for us. Server Michelle was excellent.

Great atmosphere & absolutely gorgeous views! The bar is steps away from the venice fishing pier, no alcohol allowed on pier, but makes for a great walk afterwards. Gorgeous beachside view of the gulf. Bartender is friendly & super quick, between helping bar seating customers and all the walk up customers. There's a menu to order food from the resturaunt. Great tasty frozen drinks. The bait bucket margarita was very tasty, hubby had the deck runner & it was heavy handed (in a very good way). The views alone are worth your visit. Go at sunset for optimal. But go early for best bar seating. 1pm on a monday and the bar was packed.
