Always a pleasant experience, one of the few affordable seafood restaurants with an ocean view and Island ambiance. Plenty of fresh seafood to choose from daily along with a few standards for the picky eater, many of which can come with a unique twist of flavors

Cute little joint to grab a quick bite to eat. Exactly the kind of menu you d expect (lots of seafood - not vegetarian or vegan friendly). Free parking and restrooms/showers, which is perfect for beach-goers. Fantastic view of the pier. I would recommend going mid-afternoon or around sunset!

I've only been the once and I doubt I'll ever return. I just was not impressed. We waited for more than an hour to be seated, I'll give them that we were a larger party of 8 people, but even once we were seated it didn't improve. The waiter was nice enough I guess, but unhelpful and gave poor service because he was very slow to return to check on us. I won't blame him for slow food, it was hot when we got it so the kitchen must have been backed up. But every time someone wanted a drink we had to walk outside and buy it at the bar separately ourselves, which is a major inconvenience. The bartender I dealt with was also what I would call nice enough, but his attention to the drinks was really lacking because it was all terrible. The food was basically what I've come to expect for seafood on the beach, a lot of fried or blackened. Also was not impressed there. It was just not a good experience at all considering we were there to celebrate an engagement. It was hot, everything was too crowded together, and frankly I've cooked better meals at home.

Will probably go out of business soon ! I'd suggest you take your money elsewhere. Today is December 23rd 2017. Within a year, the place will be bought over by someone else who is actually interested in running a restaurant.
The whole setup of the restaurant was designed by someone who couldn't care less about customers.
The host at the tiki-bar said "go ahead" and then spoke into her intercom "Sending two your way". As we stood waiting at the next entrance, three waiters/hostess walked by avoiding eye contact while we were trying to figure out if we could get a table. One young lady told us "you can have any empty table with a basket". We walked by and saw a table with a pink basket holding the menus. Another waitress walked by and said "I am gonna let you sit even though you are supposed to wait for me to seat you" and then walked away. We were befuddled. The actual waiter came by and said "Even though you swung by and took this table, I am gonna serve you". You can only overlook someone patronizing you so much. Turns out their brilliant scheme was that tables with black baskets were first-come, first-serve. The pink tables were pager based. Their scheme is so brilliant that even their own staff have trouble following it. I don't blame the wait staff. When you design your restaurant with a $29 entree on the lunch menu but then race to the bottom how low you can pay your wait staff, customer service is not on your top 10 list.

Excellent location right on the water. Food and service were great. Sat at the outside bar area and listened to the live music. Went for a walk on the pier after dinner.

This place has gotten way too over rated! The food is good, but not worth the hour wait! Better to visit many of the other options nearby! The servers are always frantic...and it's over ran with tourists! Don't bother going to their sister restaurant either...its a rip off!! Better off eating somewhere else, and going to the pier or beach for the sunset!

The sunset view from the terrace on the second floor was to die for but the price of the drinks during happy hour a little too much The grouper sandwich with its beach fries was delicious, just like the seafood pasta s! Excellent service by Brian.

Really delicious food! Attentive service! ... unfortunately no "sparkling water", even outside of the season at least 30 min. Waiting period. But the wait was worth it!

This place is what puts Venice FL on the map! Good food, and a great atmosphere. Visitors can fish off the pier without a license. There's a bait shop that sells shrimp, shad, and squid. You can also catch crab with a crab trap bought at Walmart. Rentals include fishing poles, paddleboards, boogie boards, etc. The beach is calm in the morning for walks, and the sunsets are awesome.

Great food & view..About half hour wait in season. Service was top shelf.

Cool tourist spot and tourist food. Got the fried shrimp, lucky me the shrimp still had some shells on it lol. Overall decent as long as you know what to expect going in

The food is kind of lack luster, and drinks are good. Prices are higher only because of the incredible location.
I liked the tiki bar feature, and the multitude of frozen drinks to choose from.

This place is huge and a must see for visitors or those looking to entertain. The restaurant is on the beach. There is separate indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend indoor in the afternoon as the sun shines on to the tables and can be warm.

We ordered the crabcake sandwich with pinapple and an onion roll bun. It was great. Also it was my birthday celebration and I ordered the key lime pie. This was honestly one of the best key lime pie I've had in a long time.

Happy hour was good too. 3 dollar beers, frozen drinks.

The cocktails are really good there, good place to spend a spring sunset. I look forward to try their food some other time.

Service was great. Food did not match. Grouper tacos were sub standard especially for a seafood place. The burgers were about the same. However, the atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly.

Always a fun time, lot's to do from looking for sharks tooth, relaxing on the beach. Maybe some fishing. Sharky's do have a great burger and awesome french fries. Have dinner and watch the sunset

What a great spot to look at the sunset and grab a drink & some snacks or even dinner. They have wonderful food! I saw the Exec Chef proudly perched at the end of the cooking line watching his culinary team execute the food orders. We loved the Oysters Rockefeller and Rainbow Sushi. My mojito was also delicious. Our server was pleasant and definitely a busy gal! Definitely coming back to this Venice spotlight.

First they wanted to seat us in a room with heaters but the chairs were plastic. So then then put us in another room with out heat. Did not want us in their dining room! Strange I must say. Waitress was great otherwise I wasn't impressed!

It would have been perfect but the waiter was a bit short with us. We are in our 60s and I have a feeling that people like him think that we are stupid and we aren't. It was reflected in his tip. Other than that we love Sharky's.

Very good fish and sides with great service. Limited beer menu. Note that in high season, Sharky's doesn't take reservations so depending on the time of day there can be a bit of a wait.

Food was tasty. Prices were average for beach dining. Very comfortable & clean. Rest Rooms look like they were just renovated as new. The staff was friendly & view is priceless of the Gulf of Mexico

Was in town with a few hours to burn and decided to try Sharky's out...got the crab legs and wasn't at all disappointed! Shawn was a great bartender as well! Very unique place and worth stopping in!

It was a great place for dinner, definitely a beach atmosphere with awesome music by Sly McCloud! A perfect beach spot! A lot of menu options and priced for anyone!
