A bit old but super location especially with Shangrila Plaza and Mega Mall just because to it. The food outlets are excellent but "Shangrila" prices. Check in service was good and check out was efficient.

When I bought the Seven-Day Tropical Retreat, I thought we would be in a beautiful room with dark wood, a closed off bathroom and dressing area. This is the kind of room we had in Kuala Lumpur. Instead, we were in a much less lovely room with inexpensive curtains, a blackout curtain with holes in it, and poor, stained carpeting. Then -- most unfortunately -- we had a cockroach! It crawled on me during the night and we found it almost dead at the end of the bed the next morning.
Please understand, the handling of this issue was exemplary. Ms. Chi was most professional in compensating us for this unhappy experience. She was clearly interested in our comfort and welfare. We were upgraded to the kind of room we THOUGHT we would get with the 7-Day Tropical Retreat. From that point on we were absolutely pleased with our stay.

Diane, Patrick, Charlez, and Eddie at Horizon Club went above and beyond to make us comfortable and welcome there.
Eddie was particularly attentive and engaging.

Mari at the concierge desk was helpful in every way possible.
We LOVE your staff at this location. They were not responsible for the roach incident. We know that. They would have done anything to spare us that nightmare.
We would suggest that perhaps more accurate photos of the rooms on your website would be helpful, to avoid the disappointment we experienced in our original room.
The breakfast in Heat was the highlight of our day! Friendly chefs and beautifully presented food.

As always overall Shangri-La gives the best service....except only when i settled the bill (maybe because it was still early at 4.45am) so i did not get a thank you and a smile from the front desk...which is a totally different experience from Shangri-La Cebu and Shangri-La Jakarta

EDSA Shangri-La is a welcoming haven in the busy business district of Ortigas Center, where the staff is friendly, and the facilities are excellent.
Good location but expected more from Shangrila, felt like a 4 star (Rooms) breakfast is super crowded and food is ok.
It was a very good stay as always! I just have a few things. I went to have lunch at the Lobby Lounge, I ordered my favorite pancit canton.
1. The pancit canton came late, although that is forgivable
2. Waitress / Ladies in waiting, were all chatting and not paying attention to me waving my hands to ask for water
3. The pancit canton was served and the bread was later...
4. No water given
5. No Straw with the Juice
6. No place mat
Never have I ever experienced this. Its not about the stay, its the dining. And I never did before. Please dont deteriorate on this ESL! The lobby lounge has a lot to say about you. Im a wedding planner and I suggest your hotels to clients and encourage them to consume food at the lobby lounge. So please, please keep tabs of the people around.

From the welcome staff to the the gym trainers, everyone had filled my bucket with smiles and genuine kindness during my stay. I loved the room, facilities, cleanliness, the accessibility, and oh that wonderful little bakeshop at the lobby! When in Manila, it could only be Shangri-La.

Great place to spend your vacation. Kids will love the pool and the water play area. Shopping mall is adjacent to the hotel. They have ample slots in their basement parking. Wheelchair acces to all areas of the hotel.

It seems the hotel is very stingy with providing bathroom amenities, compared to non "five star hotel where I've paid a quarter of what I paid to Shangrila hotel where they provide you with whatever requested no question asked. Just a small bottle of shampoo and conditioner? Also they disabled our key at 12 sharp when we had availed of 4pm late checkout per package promo at the shangril website. It was quite a hassle and time wasting.
my 8 year old daugther was free of charge with the room, but I was wondering seeing how little she eats why do hotels charge them as half price. I would understand teenage boys eating almost as much as an adult, but 8 year old girl? Last year Sofitel didn't charge my daugther on our 2 night stay with breakfast.
The reception staff were very helpful. Food is good and the ambiance and cleanliness excellent.
I asked for a taxi from the front lobby, but I told him to grab a taxi using the grab
Overall was good except that I requested for a pool view since we have a 2years old baby and Im pregnant. We arrived early and booked early (directly via phone). The check in counter assure us that our room has a "VERY NICE VIEW" (tower wing 1605) . First, I was asking to transffer near my relatives room 9th floor. But the chekin counter told us that our room 1605 is better instead to transffer near my relatives room. But when we were already in the room we saw nothing but the wall blocking the pool area. I believe that last time me checked in prior this season we were booked on a very good room facing pool area. So I assumed we were going to place on the same wing and and room. Thank you.

Excellent hotel with good dining choices. It is a stone throw away from major shopping destinations and must see places of interests.

Outstanding service from hotel pick-up to check in to daily services. Breakfast is comprehensive and there is a wide choice of foods - eastern to western. The rooms are very comfortable - bed is medium firmness. Shower is excellent. Fitness centre is best that I have seen in a hotel with very helpful and friendly staff.
It's always a good stay with you guys. Hopefully bidet would be added to your bathrooms.

checking in was a breeze with lawrence. housekeeper sheena was very accommodating with our request for extra bottles of water and late cleaning of the room. the rest of the personnel (valets, heat waiters/egg man) made our stay great! our only complaint is that the dried salted fish (tuyo) served at breakfast tasted funny.

A very fine hotel. The staff are very accommodating and courteous. The venue is very nice. The food is great too. Been here two times for conventions to attend and never did this place exceeded my expectation twice.

It was a planned staycation. On the day of our arrival, my 2 year old started to get sick. She's vomitting non stop. Good thing there is a 24 hour clinic. The day after, she's still sick. I would like to thank Aton, who knocked on our room and asked if we need anything. I said we were okay but I said sorry because we soiled some towels because our daugther is sick. She took the towels and after few minutes brought us fresh towels and toilettries. Also after I did mobile check out I talked to Len of Front desk if we can ask for late check out. We just want our daughter to be asleep in time for her afternoon nap before we go home. She allowed us to stay for a couple more hours.
We really appreciate all of these. You have a great hotel and great people. :)

Your old rooms in the garden wing side smells very stuffy and triggered my asthma. Next time to avoid it, kindly just open the aircon before your guests comes in so that it will start the air circulation since these are old rooms already.Your sheets have black polka dots on them too.
Other than that, your restaurant is still one of the best in terms of food choices and taste - keep it up.
As always, our stay at the hotel was very pleasant. Most of the hotel staff were very kind, pleasant and accommodating especially Krisha and Ria of the front desk, Ian, Mavic and Edward of the pool side bar and the cleaning staff of the 12th floor and the room service waiters (esp on 30Dec17). The only thing that was disappointing were the waiters at Heat on 02Jan18 breakfast 8am-9am who were assigned to the room near the Garden wing. Although I am sure that they saw me waving my hand and heard me when I called them, it took awhile before they acknowledged me as they were busy catering to a table where there was a foreigner. I had to go over the nearest water/coffee station to call them and also had to call them out loud before they acknowledged us. It almost ruined our 4 day stay at the hotel.

One of the best luxury hotels in the Metro. I love how thoughtful the staff were. They gave us welcome complimentary french macaroons with personalize names and banana bread. The room and amenities were everything we could ask for. We enjoyed our overnight stay.
Too many locals hanging around reception areas staring at you...I got I'll after dinner on Friday night and I never get ill usually. But overall great service and good location

Overall it was great! We love coming back to this hotel again and again and again! My only concern was - Why won t honor Golden Circle points when this is the season we can use all of then them since we are out on holidays?

Avis could take a little while to reach at times to book a car service over the phone, but they were always prompt if you caught them at the counter.
My stay in Shangri-La was kinda disappointing. I was expecting a better service coming from a 5 star hotel. The hotel looks superb from the lobby but the room was just ok. The service in the HEAT was below standard. There are plenty of servers but they are not attentive to the guests that are dining. The servers does not appear to be professional in their demeanor. Each time I had ask for something, I have to ask 2-3 times to get it. It appears that they pass along orders to the point it gets forgotten. I even heard an old woman complaining to them that she waited for too long but had to get it herself despite having difficulty in ambulating herself because no one had come back to her table.
Due to my length of stay, i had booked for 5 rooms for my family, a longer stay in Shangri-la, being granted and guaranteed the same rooms but at the time of our return they said it was fully booked and have to changed our rooms. Moreover, despite getting their more than 1 hour of our check-in time, 2 rooms where not even ready. Some of my family had to wait in our room for their rooms to be ready.
I know they have been renovating the rooms but the hall that my family was in smelled like paint.
I love that they have close access to two malls that you can walk over. The lobby looks elegant and very beautiful with their decorations. The people at the front desk was helpful and accommodating; but their billing statement was confusing.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay but probably will go back to Marco Polo next time I come back home due to better service and expectation of a 5 star hotel being met.

A nice property, overall well run and responsive though need to check and maintain key aspects better. The aircon wasn t working well and it was promptly resolved when I finally complained. It could have been avoided if the Housekeeping could have been more attentive, especially in summer. Else, it would have rated 5 stars.
I had an amazing stay in this hotel. I used to check in at Sofitel in pasay but this one is way better than I expected.
