I will definitely come back to this awesome hotel. Rooms are very nice and clean. All the staff is extra nice. The buffet breakfast has a lot of choice with great food. There are sauna, pool, Jacuzzi and gym.
The packed meals were NOT at par with the Shangrila branding. My mom left most of the meals untouched. She likened them to sad hospital food.

Stayed 3 nights and all staff are kind and food is also nice which I took only breakfast. When leaving the hotel they prepared breakfast box since the restaurant hadn't opened yet around 5:30 am. Location is also good to go to some shopping malls.

Rooms are small for a 5-star hotel, no bidet, no rainfall shower. This hotel looks elegant on the outside, but its showing its age when you compare it to other hotels in it's class.
All the staff are very professional and courteous. I am overwhelmed by their services.

Overall had a great experience however there were several problems with the hotel that made my stay less than comfortable.
The staff member who showed me my room was friendly, but she didnt give me any information about the room or the hotel - eg whether there was and where the gym was, details of the room etc.
I stayed for 5 nights, and my room constantly smelled of mould. It wasnt strong, but didnt make me feel like I was staying in a 5 star hotel.
The TV reception was very poor (fuzzy image) - and not having movie options was strange, but these are small problems.
The staff was overall friendly, but of varying knowledge and helpfulness - more training required.
I will say that the gym was the best Ive ever seen - very big and lots of equipment. However the attendant staff need to understand to leave people alone, and worrying about what Im doing when clearly Im an experienced gym goer.
On leaving the hotel, there was a very cursory 'goodbye', and when i was asked how my stay was, I said 'ok, but not so great', there was no interest in finding out what the problem was. It was an opportunity lost by your team to improve in my opinion.
My family has always loved Edsa Shangrila. When we want to spend the weekend away from home or even just a night's staycation all we think about is ESL because the kids love the pools and the ice cream parlor :-) The room is big and beds are comfy. Truly the best place to stay when in Ortigas.
Overall the stay was good. The hotel is looking a little old and the rooms smell as though they are a little damp

Great service. The security checks entering the hotel is a joke, do it properly or don't do it at all as it is a waste of guests' time. Make sure you check your invoice and receipt as I was overcharged. Not enough care was taken by reception.
First time for me to checkin at edsa Shangri-La hotel but we look forward to comeback again soon we loved the place awesome relaxing place
The dates of our stay are quite heavy days so to speak due to the Holidays. I would have preferred that guests be informed of schedule of Christmas eve mass, Santa time with the guests (which my son wanted to attend - he is on the ASD - autism spectrum disorder), ahead so that somehow i am able to bring him and attend or see santa. Aside from these, the staff and the hotel itself is worthy of its 5-star status.
I have always loved the toiletries offered by Shangrila, and i always ask for extra and i am glad that i always received what i always asked for. The food was great during our PACCD convention and buffet breakfast at the Heat.The gym personnel as well as those at the concierge were always accomodating to your every need.

All staff are accommodating and pleasant. The food is very good. The staff of Heat deserves a bonus. They made my wife happy by singing a Happy Birthday song at breakfast time! We will definitely go back to Shangri-La Hotel!!
The staff, especially Martin & Jeannie in the Horizon Club Lounge were excellent. Karen was fabulous leaning the room and making sure I had what I wanted. Test was also very helpful in that respect. I was very impressed with all of the courtesy I was shown by all of the other staff I encountered as well.
Some Guards are rude since they knew we were just delivery personnel
Spent a week there. For the price the place had better be good, and it was. The breakfast spread was superb. Not much lounge space. Once you sit on a sofa, someone comes and thrusts a huge menu at you.
The ambiance is very relaxing.
Service is excellent.

The service at the Heat restaurant was not great. Dinner on April 19, the food took almost an hour to get to our table. The room we were in, 550 on the garden wing was old, and lighting wasn't great. It felt like it hasn't been renovated in some time. The staff is always friendly, its just that i think the hotel wasn't prepared for the number of guests over the easter holidays
Shangri La is consistently good and delivers each time I stay in this hotel. The staff makes your stay pleasing and worry free. Would definitely come back.
What you would expect from a 5 star hotel, however got a bit annoyed for being charged and early check in fee (half a night) when I didn't even use the housekeeping services for my entire stay.
The kids love the swimming pool and the buffet selection. However, the one-bedroom suite is a bit bare considering the price difference with a regular room. It is just like a regular room but a bit bigger. A few more accessories like a vase with fresh flowers would be better. Although there was one but it was just in the living room. It would have been better if there was also one in the dresser in the bedroom just to make the experience worth the price.

My family loved there outdoor pool and I enjoyed their health club which was second to none. Great location especially for those interested in shopping and dining. I always like to lobby lounge for short meeting , good coffee, good views and excellent staff. Give a little allowance for getting bills, it take a little longer.

nb - for some constructive feedback, the room i was in was great, immaculately clean and prepared, but was showing a bit of its age. certainly nothing major nor bothersome. it is just standard wear and tear and signs of the years passing by. a slight touch up would certainly bring it back to its former glory.

Over all every good as usual but at midnight the entourage of the wedding that night kept slamming the doors
everything is ok except for the guard i bought a chefs knife at the last day of my stay tobe sure that there will be no problem except the guard wont let me bring it to my room even i told him that he can come with me to the room then ill pack it im my bag then he can bring it down in the fo but he told me its not allowed so you expect me to open my bag in public so i can keep my knife pls do somthing about it this is the first time i experience this here in the philippines or even abroad
