Beijing's tallest hotel. Third stay in the past 12 months. Was upgraded to a corner suite - magnificent views with Changan Road panorama and excellent visibility to match. When you check out before the breakfast room opens, they can pack you one to go. It's a good hotel but, given the price, the service level needs to go up some more to be truly world class 5*. Tallest claim will be eclipsed by the nearby CITIC Tower soon...

After a unique experience where I was allocated an occupied room, I was upgraded to the governor's suite which will remain an unforgettable memory! I laughed a lot at this rather unusual mishap and you responded beautifully. Thank you
For conference, this is the forth year for AVCJ to host the annual China PE and VC Forum at China World Summit Wing. They keep the standard which up to our requirement. The team is so great. Kathy Guo, the main contact for our event logistic, she shows her professional to handle this project. Besides, the banquet team and chef are both very help as well during these two days - Wang Zhen, Li Xiao, Hu Lei, Kiki, Jiao Yang, Wang Zi, Du Yang, Liu Bei, Xiao Bin. Our event wont be that successful without their support and assistant.
For room, the guest room is very nice and hygiene is good enough.
Best concierge. The breakfast restaurant was a bit uncomfortable because only a few staff spoke English. I hope the bed mattress is improved to better quality. All other services were amazing.
The black-out curtain was awesome! Wifi connectivity issue was handled promptly and professionally. The electric switching system was unfathomable. It was a constant struggle to get the correct lights on or off. The first night, it was impossible to get the gallery lights off and I had to call for assistance. The non-english speaking technician did not understand my request to go away and kept on ringing the bell to pull me out of bed. The wardrobe lights were even more erratic and probably with a mind of their own! The breakfast was a simple repeat. More frustrating were ubiquitously ugly and opaque vessels with no labelling on them, so you have to lift the lid to see if you really wanted it! I have had better breakfast variety and menu on a four-star property, in a different country.
Goos stay as always, rooms very nice, especially like the bed and pillows. Some things to be fixed: the toilet door was making a loud noise when opening. Breakfast could have more usual cheese and ham, current selection was wide, but very "gourmet" for breakfast. I also found it a little difficult to figure out how all the lights work in the room.
Stayed for 4 nights, the wardrobe doors and the desk lamp broke for no reason, there were always empty dishes in the breakfast buffet and I had to call service center three times for one to pick up. The most expensive Shangri-La hotel with the worst experience...
It is our second stay at this hotel, and we would definitely return on our next trip to Beijing. Bobby Cui at concierge has given us great help over the emails and in person. He was super helpful in making reservations for restaurants, museums, themed parks, and even sent messages to us during the day just to check if our day has been going smoothly and if there s anything else he could help us with! Frankly this is the best concierge service I have received so far. Jessica Yang at breakfast room has been wonderful too. She took good care of us especially our kids, remembered what each of us prefers (from drinks to special hot meals requests), and always has a smile on her face. It feels really welcoming seeing her there every morning! Everything about our stay was great, except one day when I returned to our room, and realised the bathroom was not cleaned properly. Box tissue ran out the night before and had not been replaced with new ones - still an empty box there, bar soap was not replaced, and most obviously I can see toothpaste marks all around the sink. Called front desk and left a reminder for the cleaning ladies to make sure it is properly cleaned the next day.
The hotel location is convenient, all staff are helpful and professional. All rooms with wonderful view to PEK city. Enjoy the breakfast service very much!!! Unforgettable experience and looking forward to staying in next time.
Thanks for the hotel prepared the suite in advance which really surprised me, this hotel always be my first choice when I stay in Beijing, It with spacious view and wonderful service, especially thanks to Evan who checked in for me, and introduced the suite in detailed. It was really wonderful stay for me, and I look forward to come back again.
Very good hotel with a great view. Breakfast was delicious and something for everyone. Rooms are spacious and the service perfect. In the lounge there are drinks and snacks to eat.
1. Breakfast queue was a disaster, waited in line by the lift and froze to death every time the elevator doors opened. I didn't experience this before as I ordered room service. Guests must be advised to wear winter attire for breakfast. 2. Coffee took half an hour to be served. I had to ask for the restaurant manager before staff remembered my coffee which I asked for 3 times. 3. Slow room service. Staff was hesitant to provide champagne flutes. It's NYE for crying out loud, don't be stingy. 4. No HBO. I remember I watched Game of Thrones there a couple of years ago. What happened? I called to ask about it and reception gave 2 channel guesses. Channel 13 and 30 -both wrong. 5. Elevator card did not work consistently. I saw other guests struggling, not just myself.
It's really sad that lately, Intercontinental is lapping Shangri-La in Beijing when it comes to SERVICE. It's good that you will always have that view. I chose to spend my NYE there so I can see the first sunrise of the decade across Guomao, that was special.
Superb service as expected, experienced the unmistakable Shangri-la tradition! Food has improved a great deal, I enjoyed the authentic Laksa and Hainanese chicken rice for the first time in Beijing! The gym in the sky is top class. CWSW shall always remain my choice to stay in Beijing. I just feel so at home. Congratulations to all of you!
Very new development, hotel is ran by Shangri-la and is extremely luxurious. Standard rooms run about RMB2500 per night and for that you get a huge room. Located in the middle of the Chaoyang business district so it's great for business travellers.
We had several problems with our room. Engineering came up twice to fix the aircon in the room, neither time successful. The blackout curtain didn't work the last evening which lead to a very early morning with sharp sunlight. A range of other small issues. A weak smile and an I'm so sorry were appreciated, but it's hardly the Shangri La stay we are used to.
This property - and especially my room (4133) - is not Shangri-La standard. The room had a strong musty smell and clearly had not been updated in many years. The restaurant on the 7th floor looks like it belongs in a budget hotel.
By comparison, I stayed at the China World Summit Wing hotel in Beijing from 7th to the 11th. That is a property worthy of the Shangri-La brand.
The bar on the top floor is a great place to relax in Beijing's nightlife. On days where the air is bad, there is nothing you can expect from the "lower world", so be sure to have a good day in the air. You can go straight to the bar floor with the hotel elevator. There are times when there is no room available around 21-23 o'clock, and it may not be possible to enter if it is a large number.
From pick-up to drop-off, the service is almost impeccable, especially thanks to the care of the flight attendant, Miss Zheng Caiyan, because of her enthusiasm, I successfully go through the e-gate procedures; very good news is that the drop-off person at the time of departure is also her Let my check-in go a lot, thank you!
Shangri-la is the best hotel I have had the pleasure to stay at in my entire life and working career. Every step of the journey, from booking reservations to checking out, the staff did a tremendous job of taking care of myself and my colleague. We were flying in to Beijing for work, staying only for a short while, and so it was vital that we wouldn't be bogged down with administrative work or unpleasantries. Every single member of the staff at the Shangri-la were professional, service-minded and efficient, and the hotel's facilities, from the rooms to the gym to the pool to the breakfast buffet to the reception, were in superb shape; clean, well-kept, tidy and beautifully decorated. The cleaning personell did a fantastic job, the receptionist were very accommodating when I came to check in at 09.00 and was very tired from the long flight, and the concierge were quick. I would like to mention specifically Bobby from the concierge, which provided me with great service, answered all my probably tiresome questions, and assisted me most helpfully when I had an unpleasant experience. It is people like him that is the reason the Shangri-la hotel will continue to be as renowned as it is today. All in all, a perfect stay, warmly recommended to anyone willing to pay a bit more for that extra special experience.
When I arrived at this hotel, I just returned from Canada. I didn t have any money. I didn t have an ID card. The card was inexplicably swallowed. At that time, it was already 12 o'clock in the evening. I thought I would sleep on the street, but I know the hotel. The staff began to find ways to help me. The brother who helped with the luggage, the sister at the front desk tried to find a way to help me. Suddenly I feel that there are still many good people in the world. The motherland is really better than any other country in the world!
Atmosphere Pub is quite good, cocktails are amazing - Tea ones specially good. Food is not amazing and the views could be better (most tables don't have a direct view and there could be much more glass to take advantage of the height.) When there's live music it's much better.
Great location and marvelous city views from the top floors, a rarity in Beijing! The snacks and soft drinks available at the lounge bar are also very convenient for travelers. Above all, the room is quite spacious with a very comfortable king-size bed. The main drawback is that the elevator won't respond to my room's key card to reach the designated floor most of the time, which was quite irritating!
Cynthia took excellent care of us on this stay! Fantastic room and excellent service from the staff. The concierge even went to a local pharmacy late at night to pick up some medicine for my wife!
The location of the hotel has not been said, in the heart of the international trade, and the price is on the 64th floor and above, is the highest hotel in Beijing, it is said that there will be no new hotel opening in China, it can be foreseen that the International Trade Hotel must always stand proud of the forbidden After a long time. The 64-story lobby is very spacious, and the back is the lounge. The view is great. It overlooks the big pants and looks at the Chinese pipa. It feels great. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and the rooms were well arranged, facing west, great! The front desks Bryan and Betty impressed me very much and the service was very good.
I am fortunate to have a stay in Beijing this month and have a very pleasant stay. Both software and hardware have made me feel the consistently high level of service at Shangri-La. Especially the warm, cheerful and cordial and meticulous service of Irene at the front desk left a deep impression on me and my colleagues, adding a lot of warm memories to our busy trip.
I don't remember being the first time I stayed, as always, impeccable. Special thanks to the front desk Betty, I didn't expect to meet the room requirements, but she still arranged for us to arrange the room facing the west. I also took us to the room to see if I was satisfied. I was very touched. I am also grateful to Song Yalin of the room department for being serious and responsible, and giving us a good impression.
This is one of the best hotel I had ever stayed. From the luxury of the room to the hospitality from the staffs, Shangri-La China World summit wing Beijing has stated a standard of a real five-stars hotel.
Thanks for the upgrade of the room type, the room feels good, but when I called in advance, I said that the trouble room was arranged on the side of Chang'an Street, but the final arrangement of the room was facing south. I don't know why, or my narrative. has a problem. In general, it does not hide.
Most of experiences during the stay were excellent, but one thing I want to mention:
At the check-in desk there was a mooncake box for sale, guests could buy it with golden circle points. It`s not very clear but I should have the points that required for the box if I got the points for this stay and the consumption in the hotel bar after check-out immediately. However the guest service said that I need to wait for about 1 week to get the points for this stay. I was considering taking a box when I check-out, it can`t.
We stayed at the hotel for six nights. The hotel rooms are well appointed and luxuriously designed. Restaurant and counter attendants as well as baggage students work very well, sincerely and efficiently. The breakfast menu was reduced due to the arrival of foreign guests on that day. But we really want to eat the laksa in the restaurant, so tell the waiter one day earlier, she said that she can do it. The next day, I went to the restaurant, and the hot and delicious sand was served to the table. Thank you all the staff
Beijing Guomao Hotel, whether it is a friendly and considerate ambassador, or an all-day snack drink in the Executive Lounge, or the help of the front desk staff, the opening night bed of the guest room and the professional skills of the chef in the 79 restaurant... "The pride of the Forbidden City" concept! As a Golden Circle member, you also enjoy a special room card, daily welcome fruit and biscuits, and a delay in various services! Shangri-La Hotel did not disappoint me!
