My mother was just admitted her yesterday and her nurse was the best ( Laura ) the one with blond hair and not the black hair one . The next day the nurse was the Laura with the black hair She very rude and the Registered Nurse Nema was very rude and walking away as my mother was talking to her and she had her back to her answering her questions . The monitor tech answered her called and hung up on her really fast. Been here for two day the tech never asked to bath her or assist her with a bath . Stay clear away from theses staff

The billing department is horrendous. They somehow didn t record my insurance, and sent me multiple thousands of dollars worth of bills, and on top of that, I sent them a check for one of them (thinking insurance had been applied, naturally) and once I realized it hadn t been, I was told over the phone it wouldn t be cashed and not to worry about it. Well guess what; they cashed it. Surprised? Me neither. Merry Christmas Seton. Heed my warning.

Misdiagnosed my mothers broken hip TWICE and sent her home before ending up back in ER a 3rd time in a month, when they finally did the x-ray she requested and found out she needed surgery to repair her hip.

I came with my mom to the ER on ambulance because she had an extremely stomach pain, she couldn't fell her legs and arms. They did ultrasound and said it was a Kidney Stone. They left her and put her on a room for supposedly do surgery. Then the doctors never show up, they just send the poor nurses with different procedures instructions and different diagnosis. They left her a whole day without eating and at the end of the day they did not did the surgery. They just proceeded to give her liquid fluid and said they weren't gonna take her kidney stone out. So, 3 days for nothing.
I also came with my daughter and they discharge her with fever, which was really disappointing. You guys are dealing with peoples health and lives. 2 bad experiences on this place? The first I let it pass because it was a first time; but two times, really?
Oh, but I bet the bill will always arrive in time and with pressure to make us pay for services that didn't solve the problem. I came to this hospital because of good recommendations. But with this two bad experiences, nop, not again.
Doctors never show up, the problem is never solve, no communication with the patient or nurse staff & lack of personnel. I really fell extremely mad and disappointed at this place.

I'm surprised so many people had such bad experiences. My wife had to go to the ER a few times last week and every visit was great. One visit, the doctor was so concerned for her well being that he did everything he could to help. He ended up having to transfer her to Scott & White, which was a TERRIBLE experience, to run some tests that Seton couldn't do at 2am. This is our ER of choice!

I came in to the ER on an ambulance for post surgery bleeding, the doctor I had was great. The nurses forgot about me after I went to the bathroom and didn t hook me back up to everything. My husband was out of state and I needed to call an Uber to take me home and it was 2 am and my phone was at 1% and I asked if they had a charger I could use she said she would check for me and I never saw her again.

Went in for some chest pains and that turned out to be high blood pressure but they wanted to keep me overnight. I got up and left and came back the next day for tests. Although I left the facility their nurse contractor billed me $1400 for overnight "monitoring" charges. I guess they can monitor you when you're not even there. Of course they will want to take it to collections. I would really consider this CRIMINAL FRAUD.

This hospital and the people that work here are some of the best medical staff in Harker Heights/Killeen. Heart cath, colonoscopy, tumor removed and colon resection and I m doing great!!! Love that staff

If I could give it zero I would. I was in there with abdominal pain. They did a CT scan. Said I was fine to go see a GI dr. I went in cause I had been in pain for 7 days. I went to my primary and my primary didn't show up. The nurse looked at me and said Your in pain aren't you. And told me to go to the ER. When I got into my primary 2 days later. I have a SEVER kidney infection, so bad my spleen was swollen. That's where the pain was coming from. Simply waiting til my results came back would of told them that. Instead of blowing me off. A week later I took in a friend who is a bigger girl. While was having extreme back pain and her entire body was swollen. The took one look at her size and said she pulled a muscle and sent her on her way. 2 days later I took her to metroplex who had to admit her and give her a blood transfusion. If you want to waste your time go to seton. Just hope you don't die in the process

yes I was a seton on jan 15 to 16 with back pain could not walk. I was transported by Killeen ems which was horrible go to seton things got worse I was literally charged to use the rest room. Now I am getting bills from every one at setion surprised the house keepers don't send me a bill. I spent hours waiting to see the doctor who spent about 20 seconds with me never saw the doctor again. I wont go back to seton unless it is life or death. I always thought seton was better hospital closer in Killeen guess I was wrong. and I used uber to get home, uber was much better than killleen ems and a lot a cheaper.

This place is a joke. The ER is the most horrendous excuse of patient care I've ever seen in my life. Do yourself a favor do the extra 30 Minute drive to Scott and white, because they will get you seen asap. This ER will make you wait 4 hours to be seen. The doctors don't really explain anything to you, and if you have your call button on it'll take the nurses forever to acknowledge you. I don't know how this place is still open honestly.

Surrounded by people with minor irritations or a desire to accuquire pain killers I was forced to wait 3.5 hours to help with a broken foot. They need to figure something out that puts people is serious pain first

This hospital need to be closed down. I witnessed a women with a brain bleed wait for 3/4hrs to be called to the back. And on top of that they tried to kick her out.... Just sad and I came in at 5:30pm and just now about to leave at 7:30pm and still waiting to be seen

My family and myself have only come to Seton if it was an absolute emergency that couldn't wait since our normal hospital is 20 miles away from where I live whereas this one is 5 miles away.

They do not treat their patients properly and have too much paperwork before they would even see me... Even with my eye doctor's written concern that my life was in grave danger and needed to be seen as soon as possible.

Another instance was when my younger sibling had smoke inhalation and after spending countless hours in their care diagnosed her with "coughing" and sent her home in the same condition with nothing to help.

The latest incident that has happened happened today on July 1st, 2017. My dad was in a car accident and I came immediately from work to check on his condition myself.

Their sorry policy is to let visitors back every half hour. They aren't doing anything but sitting behind a desk not busy what so ever. It would take less than two minutes to let me see my father.

For these reasons Seton is a terrible hospital and to not choose this but as a last resort.

Literally the longest ER wait times of all time. I'm 36 yrs old never in my whole life have I waited so long in the ER waiting room... I got here at 9:12 pm and I am still here with five people ahead of me and it is 1:09am... Blood work is back, literally understaffed and have no Dr. to explain the results.

When I go to a hospital I expect it to be clean and the staff to not be rude when I asked about it. .I was told that I was too critical of them because I expect it to be clean and all to observe hand washing. .nurse assistance did not wash hands nor put gloves on while touching urine. .how many other people's bodily fluids has she spread ?

When I first went there I actually thought everybody was fairly nice and helpful. It was not until a couple weeks after our visit when the problems started arising. They called me 4 times now asking for my insurance information because they have none for me on file. They also tried billing tricare even though I do not have tricare. I never mentioned anything about it. I then even received 2 bills in the mail explaining that I still owe $1000 for an emergency visit in which they did no tests and told me that my daughter was perfectly fine. I called them about it and they assured me that the insurance I gave them was being processed. Well again I received another letter telling me that the insurance I gave them was not valid and that I still owe them the $1000 dollars. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with any hospital. Unless it is life or death I STRONGLY recommend that you take the extra 15 minutes to go to Scott and White in Temple, or even heck I'd do Darnell.

So disappointed of this place, took a family member to the ER and the people at the front desk was very rude and didn t received us well. After they see me getting mad was when she started to be more concerned about the situation of the patient, they told us the hospital wasn t equipped to have patients like her and instead of tell me to take her somewhere else they kept her there. She didn t got the help she needed and the next day, They just let her go. She got out with no information for her to get the right help or not medications at all.

It took 3 phone calls and the longest lasting 22 minutes for them to finally find orders faxed to them from Darnall referral line to set up my appointment. If I wasn t insistent that the fax WAS SENT TWICE by Darnall they wouldn t have have double checked and found it. 22 minutes was the last call for them to set up an appointment because they are incompetent. This is always my experience with Seton, they are so disorganized and lazy.

2/17/2020: came to the ER with my toddler at 10:56pm with 4 people ahead of us...it s 2/18 1am and still have 2 more people ahead of us. You ll die or get better before being seen here. This place is an absolute mockery to medicine. I won t come here anymore even though it s 2 min from my home.

I was flown in to Seton last night by helicopter. The night shift staff are amazing! The RN who cared for me Andrea was top notch. Very clean facility, with great people. Thank you Seton staff for taking care of me during a bad time. Highly recommend Seton if you need care!

Very slow service, when family member had extremely high blood pressure and chest pain the ER staff still had them sit in pain and wait for 2 hours before even seeing them. And also having other people , one that had a horrible cut on their hand constantly bleeding and the ER Staff also just let him sit there while the blood just kept coming out.
I don't care if it is a smaller hospital they need to take better care of their patients!!

My husband went in for back paindue to 2 failed back surgeries and Dr Stringham came in and instantly said he wasn't prescribing narcotics because he was a drug seeker that he would have to go to his primary or go find them on the street. Now what kind of Dr says something like that? My daughter took my grandson in and I went with her we saw the same Dr. He was complaining of a sore throat. They did a throaty swab and didn't send it in because he said swelling in the tonsils was normal and sent him home. Had to take him back in the next day because of fever and sore throat. Saw a nurse practitioner and she said it wasn't normal and actually prescribed something to get the swelling down. They really need to get rid of this Dr. He's rude and doesn't listen to his patients. The only reason they got 1 star is because you have to in order to write a review.

I'm scheduled to have a procedure tomorrow and no ones called to tell me what time to be there. I've called 5 times only to be hung up on, sent to various voicemails and with no calls returned. absolute joke. When I am told someone will contact me I expect to be contacted.

"LABOR AND DELIVERY STAFF IS INCREDIBLE!!! I'm super surprised to hear anything bad about them because that was NOT my experience" Mon. February 23, 2015

That day, L&D were operating off of generators because of the severe ice weather. I wasn't going into labor, but they were extremely attentive to me. They even fed me. I felt so comfortable asking them basic questions, and the nurses gave me all their undivided attention, literally! This experience has made me so much more comfortable for my real labor in a couple of weeks.

Also, I would highly recommend taking their child birthing classes (with Nurse Lori, she's SUPER awesome and knowledgeable). You get a hospital tour and baby care basics (medications, labor process, breastfeeding, sponge bath, etc...) So totally take the class and consider the other class options...they are so worth it!!!

My ovarian cyst ruptured and caused horrible horrific pain.. It left me heading to the ER. Nobody.. not one soul was in there and I see why. I have to admit my Dr was great and got everything done really well. He did everything right however when it came to discharge me, the pain came back and I asked the nurse for pain meds before I left and not only was this nurse ,Theresa was rude.. she denied me pain meds! Yes.. you read that right, she denied me pain meds saying they weren't going to give me pain meds AND be sent home with them.. I was livid because she not only let me walk out there with pain but I can't get my pain meds because Walgreens can't fill them until 2 more hours but I am in still in great pain. I will be contacting her supervisor on Mon and let them know what happened and that just maybe something can be done about this. I wouldn't recommend this place based on her attitude alone.

Do not go here!! Their MRI machines can apparently break on a whim and they only have one. How is your machine going down and you have no way of fixing it? You're going to leave patients for months without answers? Really? That's how you run your hospital?

Based on the other reviews, this review should come as no surprise. My veteran stepfather passed away late January. The hospital made an error on his death certificate. They have yet to rectify it, which, prevents my elderly mother from making a claim on the small life insurance policy her husband had. We have tried working through the Patient Advocate, Patsy Ponder; however, she has been terse, rude and combative with my mother. The Texas Medical Board and local tv stations will be our next venue if this doesn't get cleared up quickly...

I went to seton because I was having a tingling sensation throughout my body. My hands and feet were swollen and it feels like I am walking on pins and needles. My skin is red, itchy, and burning. My heart rate is 109 which is a tad bit high and my fever is 101. My final diagnosis was that I was having an allergic reaction of some sort, suffering from a rash and myalgia, which is odd considering I am not complaining of any joint or muscle pain. After being given a saline solution IV, antihistamine, anti-inflammatory and laying in a room for four hours, a very courteous nurse came in and gave me a prescription for steroids, antibiotics, and nausea meds with no real explanation of what is wrong with me and discharge papers. It is now 5 a.m. and 10 hours later and I am still suffering from the same issue which seems to be getting worst. The staff was very very nice and no complaints about the cleanliness of the facility. I am however unsure of the accuracy of the diagnosis and unsure why I was prescribed nausea meds, as there were also no complaints of nausea. So overall, it wasn't a bad experience. I'm just still unsure of my condition..... definitely getting second opinion.

This place was horrible. I was the only one there,
Obviously after reading the reviews.
Waited thirty minutes to get into the back. I hadn t even sat down on the bed and this rude nurse came in and shouted at me do you have a urine sample yet?!? I said no lady I just got here... I went to go give them the ironed sample and the bathroom was gross, it was covered in piss and there was one of those piss catchers full of piss in the toilet. I was there due to not being able to go to the bathroom. I had already been diagnosed with kidney stones. At the end of this nightmare, the doctor comes in and tells me I have kidney stones... uhhh no kidding!!! I told you that stupid!!! I was complaining of abdominal pain and they brought me a pill, it made me so sick to my stomach I was puking when i got home. I ll never come back here again. The only reason I went was because metroplex was full, and Scott and white is just too far away. But never again. I ll drive to temple before I go here again.

Last year I delivered my baby at this location. They were very nice-nasty. Upon arriving I was healthy. I left the facility septic and lost. All of this could ve been avoided had a labor and delivery nurse simply listened to me. I pushed the nurse button multiple times in attempt to get her attention. She assumed that I did not know the difference between pressure and pain and told me I needed to push this baby or the doctor would be mad if he had to perform a c-section . Well she was possibly right I was almost terminally ill from septic shock after getting that procedure ironically. I stayed in the facility over a week after delivery so I was robbed of certain experiences.

They aren t even worth the one star on here. Terrible service ... horrendous wait times and not to mention they billed my insurance for services I did not receive in the ER. My vitals were taken ... and I was roomed threee hours later and walked out. But they managed to bill for laboratory fees and didn t receive any blood or urine from me.

Dr culp (not sure of spelling, rude white lady) has to be the most unprofessional, uncaring dr I have ever met. Her holier than tho attitude made me leave seaton emergency room after having surgery in Austin two days prior and my surgeon telling me to go to the closest ER due to complications. The nurse Robert was very nice but this lady is the reason I m driving to Austin to be seen tonight with 4 incisions in my stomach. Way to go Seaton! I ll never return thanks to her!

I had a surgical procedure which went well, however, I was billed an exorbitant amount for a cream that was used in the procedure that was not covered by insurance. I communicated with their billing department a number of times trying to get the issued resolved and was unable to. I finally just gave up and started making payments. Even though I did that, they turned my account over to a collection agency because they divided the amount by six months and required that I make that amount of payment. To my detriment, I did not set up a formal payment plan with them, however, they received and accepted the checks I sent. Believe me, I will never use Seton Medical Center again.

The worst hospital I have ever been to in my life. Went in because I've been running a fever, sore swollen throat, and can barely swallow, ear aches, and body aches. I didn't have to wait I was taken back immediately because no one was there and now I can see why. The Doctor who came in to see me was EXTREMELY rude from the time he walked in until he walked out, which wasn't very long. He looked at my throat for a total of 3 seconds and said "it's just red". He didn't even bother to check my lymph nodes which I can clearly feel just by touching my neck. He wasn't going to check my ears but I practically made him which was a mistake because it obviously irritated him enough that he shoved the scope in as hard as he could causing even more pain. Then without a word he walked out. I will never ever return to this place, I don't care if I'm bleeding out and it's the closest hospital. Just terrible.

Worst experience EVER!!!! avoid this place as much as you can. The ER Receptionist was rude. My mother was in her last stages and She took her time to let me back. Dealing with another non emergency personal. Most of the staff were rude. They allowed friends, AFTER WE TOLD THEM THAT ONLY FAMILY CAN COME BACK, to come there. The Chaplin took it upon her self to bring people back to see my mother while the doctors worked on her (note that my sister and I were asked to wait outside until they were finish) her naked body exposed for them to see. The Chaplin wasn't even on call she just showed up! My poor sister was distort to deal with anyone. The ICU stuff was spot on and caring as well as the room staff, but that is because the nurses from HOSPIC were there to make sure that she received the necessary treatment. Needless to say my mother passed shortly after entering the medical center. When we complain but all they did was tiptoe around it all and this Chaplin is still there. On top of everything else, my mother had Medicaid and Medicare and they still told us they were going to bill Tricare. WF idiots! I say your better off dying in the gutter before dealing with that. Considering hiring a lawyer for not following their own policy!

My daughter was away with her ROTC class playing GI Jane, she came back with knee pain that wouldn't go away with Motrin heat or ice. Her condition was not emergent so we didn't expect to be seen right away as if it were. She was seen in decent time by the lovely Dr. Casey who ordered standard tests and thoroughly looked her over. We were given some advice and discharged feeling better that we knew it wasn't anything major. Mark her RP nurse was also a gem.

If I c an give a 0 I would my daughter came in really sick, emergent and they told her to sit and wait, if something happens I will sue this God forsaken place. They are so rude, unprofessional, in the front desk is unreal

Came to emergency room for broken arm, spent 5 hours, pain meds weak, surgery 8 days out, the whole process takes to long. Came here 5 years earlier for minor car accident, car insurance & med insurance played waiting game to see who would pay first and get bill reduced, so Seton turned the bill over to collection agency. Short story is they don't care about you, your pain, or how long it takes. Half star out of 5

I did not have a good experience in the emergency room. Will never go to Seton again. Also, I have been waiting for a $1,200. refund for over a month. I still have not received. Numerous phone calls does not seem to help either.

everyone at the information and registration was great, It was when I got back to surgery that I had the trouble.....the nurse that took me in to do my vitals had a bad attitude. I the nurse that got me ready for surgery was grumpy and did not talk to me at all. I'd like to thank my Dr., Dr. Bernard Morris, and the antheaseioligist were Great.

They lost my wife's wedding ring. My wife was all drugged up do to a hip fracture when the nurse asked her to put her wedding ring in a bag as they were preparing to take her to surgery. The nurse put the bag with the rings in it IN THE DINNER TRAY and that's the last time her rings where seen.
My wife filed a report as soon as she noticed they were gone. That was on August 20th. We didn't hear anything about it again till I followed up on September 10th and was told that they would get back to me on it..
Seems like I'm being lead on over this.. One terrible thing I noticed about Seton Harker Heights is that it seems one has to take on a siege mentality to deal with them. There is only ONE contact phone number and no other listings of contacts. They have built up walls around them to the point of making one wonder who they are really serving... I sure hope they follow up and direct us as to how to file a loss claim with their insurance company. If they say they can't do anything to reconcile our loss with their breakdown of protocal in PROTECTING THEIR PATIENCE ASSETS Then that tells me that they are NOT interested in serving their mission of providing a service to the community.. As well as FAILING their mission to serve Christ but rather serving to steal and to kill and to destroy. I hope for the best. But I have little faith in man.. Especially those who profess to be in the service of the God of Truth . just saying .. I sure hope we get this resolved.
I'll keep y'all posted. (Update) seems their focus is on maintaining profitability rather than providing reasonably priced healthcare. One thing I know for sure is that they are more interested in padding their own pockets than providing healthcare . they as with the rest of the healthcare system neglects the mental harm they inflict through their billing departments. In short the ONLY way you'll see me in Seton Harker Heights again is when when my lifeless corpse is getting the pennies stolen off my cold dead eye sockets.. Seton medical. They may not screw your kids like the Catholic church hierarchy does. But they will make sure you OWE THEM for the rest of your life. P.S. Kim Sharhry R.N. who is supposed to be an advocate is (in my opinion) a do nothing waste of a title m seems like her only job is to STALL and do nothing but make sure her pay check keeps flowing in. In short Seton Harker Heights is noting but a den of SELF SERVING THEIVES ... I would rather DIE Than deal with them again

The worse hospital ever. I gave birth to my son during covid and the experience was horrible. I would not recommend giving birth at this hospital. The nurse doing my spinal kept making jokes, and I dont know if he was trying to keep me from being nervous, but I didnt find any of it funny especially while your messing with my spine. I remember giving him this look like really? Then the needle broke in my back while he was doing my spinal. The nurses there should be drug tested. The nurse shoved the catheter in my vagina that caused a sharp pain after I told her I wasnt NUMB. Very unprofessional and they need to be fired or retrained. Its been 2 1/2 months and I'm still having pain in my back to the point I can't even lay on my side.

My mother stepped on a nail and needed to go to the ER. I brought her Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights. We did not wait very long. We were taken back to the ER and placed in room 10 all the way in the back of the ER. There were about 4 other rooms full, but they were all in the front by the nurses station. A nurse came in and attempted to take my mom's vitals, but she couldn't figure out how to use the blood pressure cuff. She put the blood pressure cuff around my mom's wrist and started trying to put in her info in to the computer system. She didn't know how to use it and had to go get a guy to walk her through it. The entire time my mom is telling her that it is very painful. The nurse got a phone call on the phone in her pocket, and she just walked out without saying anything. Then, about two hours later the doctor finally came in. He tried to order an X-ray to make sure nothing was left behind in my mom's foot. Then he just walked out! We were so confused we didn't even get to express any concerns or ask questions about what would happen. I went down the hall and saw him sitting in an office with a female doctor. I tapped on the glass and got the dirtiest look from the female doctor. Then, the male doctor that was helping us looked up at me and shewed his hand for me to go back to the room. I was trying to tell him that my mom wanted to decline the X ray because she didn't have health insurance. She just wanted a tetanus shot to make sure she didn't get an infection. Well he never came back to the room and about 30 minutes later another unidentified nurse walks in. He starts to roll my mom out of the room. When she asked where he was taking her he said to X ray! She declined and he left. By this time we have been there for 4 hours and my mother's foot was still bloody with rust all around the wound. Then the first male nurse came in. Finally, he gave my mom a tetanus shot. He said someone will be in shortly to clean her foot. We waited for an hour and nobody came. A guy walks in, asks me to fill out and sign these papers about my mom s insurance. He just said "sign here it is just basic information saying we won't release your private info" I signed about 6 papers and he said the same explanation for each one and then tried to make me pay a $250 co-pay. I was like my mom s foot hasn t even been cleaned yet and you want $250? He left and said someone would be back shortly. Finally after another 30 minutes my mom hobbled out in front of the nurse s desk and toward the exit. We passed all the nurses that had been in and out of our room and the doctor and none of them said one word. I walked up to some random guy, he scanned his card to open the doors and we left after 5 hours with a dirty foot and no discharge paperwork. It was the worst experience we have even had at any hospital. And we will NEVER go back.

DO NOT COME HERE. YOU WILL DIE. They got me into collections for a blood draw even though I had 2 insurances and they did not inform me about anything kept asking for the same information I provided to them in months span and now I m in collections. Don t no come here. BILLING DEPARTMENT IS INCOMPETENT. They are very ignorant.

I have been a Patient of Dr Sanjay Pandya for 5 years, he is courteous, professional, competent, and caring in providing services for my well-being.

I recommend Austin Heart to my family and friends. The waiting area is clean and welcoming, and the entire staff from arrival to leaving show a continual flow of courtesy, professionalism, kindness, and caring.

I had two terrible experiences at this center. The last time the waiting period was quite extensive. I had a very rude nurse who my mother asked for a bag bc I was throwing up, to which she responded one minute, mind you this nurse was sitting at the desk, not busy at all, I ended up throwing up in my mother's hands, then in a very sluggish manner and with a poor attitude pretends she's looking for it, when I finish throwing up in my mother's hands she steps out, and brings a bag. She knew exactly where they where. I complained about the wait and stated I would place a complaint and I believe her demeanor was a form of retaliation and reassertion, to remind me of my place. She asked me to remove anything from the waste down for no apparent reason as when the Dr. came in she stated they could not do my D&C despite my physical pain. Due to throwing up, I also urinated on myself, and I let her know so I could get a new sheet, and I was completely ignored. It's ridiculous that one has to travel to temple, to get some form of good customer care. The Dr. Stated to me that that she should have given me medication the day before when I was initially there, but instead she didnt and it cost my insurance more money. All this center cares about, is taking your money. I am disappointed that despite degrees, certification, none of these employees know the basics to what good customer care is.

I waited a from 9:34pm-1:40am the following day and still did not receive help. I was finally called and as a joke by a nurse in reference to my long wait and was told to speak to a receptionist when I did she was rude and stated that the nurse was wrong for making a joke of the situation but I would need to continue to wait. I asked for an apology for the humiliation and she stated that "we don't apologize, if you don't like it HPD will escort you out". I did not yell, call the woman out of her name, or get violent in any way. The hospital openly denied service after 4 hours of waiting simply because we were not a priority in their eyes due to insurance. They would not reserve a room for us because of this please beware that if you do not have insurance whether you paying or not they will not make you a priority.
During the wait a young girl with the flu virus puked on two seats and the floor. Her parents informed the staff and they left the mess there, it remained on the floor for 3 hours and if you visit the hospital right now at this very moment I'm sure it's still there.

I brought my grandmother here to be seen for back pain and shortness of breath. We have been sitting in the waiting room for going on 4 hours now. She is sitting in the middle of the waiting room in her wheelchair with tears in her eyes. The staff are in no hurry. The hospital is dirty, warm and seems quite disorganized. Would not recommend. If you must come here I would suggest an ambulance so that you might have a chance at being treated in something resembling a reasonable time frame.

I will start of by saying the nurses helping my mother have been awesome. Beyond blessed how sweet and great they were. My mother came in for hip replacement and all went well, until we came up to her room for the night. The odor in the bathroom was very unsettling, dirty blankets on floor in bathroom. The floor in room had not been mopped or swept was sticky and had stuff all over it. The wall in the room was covered in brown stains of some sort, that you could see where it was running down the wall i was thinking throw up or something unpleasant. Also the side rail on the bed itself was dirty had sticky substance with hair stuck to it. I took pictures of all this but we were very disappointed in the state of the room. I just wrote a letter to the supervisor and hopefully they receive it seeing how we are still here waiting to be discharged. Not a healthy state for a room to be in for a hospital.

My recent visit on 1/22//2014 was terrible. I have never been in an emergency room where the staff was as rude, unconcerned and aggressive as they were. The obvious concern to the staff were their breaks and shift changes. I have still yet to get in contact with patient advocacy because they do not answer their phones and the fail at returning messages. A new staff is needed in this facility.

Most upsetting frustrating experience ever. Let me first say the nurses were polite and attentive. But the rest of my visit was miserable. I am 19 weeks pregnant. But I came to the er on the advice of my ob because I've had one of the worst persistent migraines I've experienced. I was told they could offer more help and relief than my pcp could. So I went. I spent 4 hours in this bright room. They started an Iv but I never recieved any kind of fluid to help with dehydration. Finally the blood work came back and the dr told me he wasn't doing anything for me because I was pregnant. 4 hrs of pain no fluid Iv and not even offered Tylenol. I left crying and in more pain than when I came in. I understand pregnancy is a risk factor. But there has to come a time when the benefits outweigh the risks. Because 4 days of pain, throwing up, and dehydration can't be good for me or the baby. Learned my lesson, go somewhere else.

Worst hospital I've ever been to. Staff is rude and they overcharge for doing absolutely nothing. They screwed up my surgery resulting in additional surgies. The physician assistants act like they are on meth and there was blood all over my room. Please save your money and go somewhere else. I've already informed my spouse if im dying to take the chance of taking me to a hospital further away. I don't trust them at all!!!

Don't ever use Seton Harker Heights. They are totally disorganized. It takes several trips to registeration for them to actually find your doctor's orders. Then they will call you to schedule your procedure, but they never call. You call, they don't return your call. You go back to the hospital and maybe, if you're lucky, you get the procedure done 2 or 3 MONTHS after your doctor sent them the orders. You go through this agonizing process and sometimes they tell you, weeks after you started trying to register, "Oh, we can't do that test, we don't have the equipment." Your doctor sends orders for a simple blood draw. You call the registration desk to see if you need to register. "Oh no" they say. Just go directly to the lab & we can do the blood draw. We have the orders from your doctor. You go to the hospital lab. Guess what???? You have to go to registration first. This place is a fiasco!!!!!

Do not go here!!! I went for a mammogram and found out I needed more pictures taken. I had to wait over a month to get in! Talk about scary! In addition to this, they have a new imaging doctor every single week! Literally! Stay away from this rent-a-doc disaster trainwreck. Never will I step foot in this facility again

Had a bad experience at this ER. But had worse experience with the company they pay to collect their money. Would not take a payment. They kept telling me I was a woman or I had to have my mom call. I am 22.
They kept me in the ER without giving fluids. I was dehydrated by the time they transferred me to a larger hospital.

Why am I sitting in the ER lobby right now watching kids come and go? Seriously - it's like if you don't have a kid, they don't care about you. Been here 2 hours now and I've watched an easy 15 kids come in and leave. This is bullshit! I guess it's good for you if you have a kid though. Hey guys, make sure if you don't have a kid, you at least borrow one before stopping in!

Updating my original review from 1 star to 5 stars...

Updating my original review from 1 star to 5 stars. Recently, my mother came in my Killeen EMS. On arrival she had ER Physician Dr. Ritz. He is extremely caring, compassionate and dedicated to uncovering all that is ailing. A few days later, my mother went into cardiac arrest. Nothing to fault of the staff. My mother is very frail and was the event was unexpected. Luckily Dr Verma was in the room with 2 nurses one of them Brittany. The alarm went off for a code, ICU nurses and Dr. Ritz also responded. Two rounds of CPR my mother was brought back. She has been in the ICU receiving the utmost beyond amazing care especially from two of the nurses Kristina and Melissa. These two ladies have been her primary nurses in her stay treating and caring for her with so much compassion as if my mom was their grandmother. They are very informative to me for my mother can t speak for herself at the moment and even if she could with her mild dementia.

In November, I came by EMS myself where discovered I needed emergency surgery by ER Physician Dr Egan. A physician Dr. Morris on call performed the surgery the next day due to an infection resulting from what was going on with me. My nurses Angelique and Alicia were amazing treating me with so much respect and care.

Both my mother and I had shared the same OR staff which Jake, Donna and Dr. Obi. All above compassionate, understanding and the very best!!!

I was an hour away from home suffering with abdominal pain. I informed them that I was pregnant and I wasnt believed. They informed me it to was too early to know. After passing out in the ultrasound room- It was discovered I had an ectopic pregnancy and needed surgery. I sat in the ER 6 hours before my procedure without pain medication. I had a liter of blood in my abdomen. My left tube was removed. Once surgery was preformed my surgeon never followed up with me. I needed medication following my surgery in the form of an injection due to my blood type. That took 3 hours to get approved. I had a transfusion with 2 units of blood. I was released a few hours after surgery. The surgeon wrote 1990 as the date for my pain prescription. We never got ahold of them to fix this. Just found a pharmacy who felt sorry for us. Apparently during surgery an artery wad knicked. My entire stomach turned BLACK. One week following surgery i received a call from the surgeons office informing me that I needed to schedule a SECOND surgery. I told them this was the first I had heard of this. Ensue the wild goose chase of trying to get people on the phone. One nurse said yes I need it, another said no you don't. After finally getting in touch with the office manager I discovered the hospital had made a mistake. This place is a joke. Do yourself a favor, unless you are DYING- DO NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE.

Horrible Hospital. Staff is rude. I had surgery here this morning and im in extreme pain. Even though they did the surgery I've been in the waiting room for 2 hours and counting. Jalissa at the front is no help what so ever. I have 3 incisions from surgery this morning. I was still in the waiting room for over 2 hours. Last time i came here they wrote me a script for medicine they knew i was allergic to. Ill never return to this death trap again

If I could giva a zero I would. Im so sick i wanted to throw up. I came to ER with my husband today as we came in we notice the desk nurse ask us for ID's in order to be seen and i told her let me go get it from my husband since he is not feeling good and I told him to sit. Once she had his Id then she was willing to check him in.
I was in shock what if it was someone that dont have any ID or lost it and needs medical help?
As we kept waiting in the waiting room i notice lots of people been turn down due to not having an ID. Once my husband was called in to a room. I approached his nurse and ask her why was people been turn down due to not having ID's and her answer was that they need to know who the person is. I advised her that, that is an illegal practice, by Federal Law ER hospital are suposed to treat people that need medical treatment no matter their citizenship or insurance status.
She said of course if is a real emergency we will see them. How can you know if is real emergency if you dont treat them?
She said we need to know who they are.
I know its not her fault at end is hospital policy and is the hospital who is breaking the Federal Law called by his insignia EMTALA.
Im just in shock an this is the first time I see that and im not gonna be quite about it. Hospital should be Fine.

This place is a joke!!!! My friend went there PREGNANT and bleeding badly and she sat there for HOURS without being seen! After hours of waiting she asked how much longer and they said 6 people were ahead of her! She is pregnant she should ve been the first one seen! Horrible service

My wife started having stomach and chest pain so we took her to Seton since it was closest. While there, half her face went numb and her eye involuntarily shut. Told the check in nurse who simply said, "ok," and went back to typing on the computer. Waited an hour and a half, while the people next to us had similar symptoms had been there for over 4 hours. This hospital has fully earned its accumulated bad reviews. Scott and White needs to build a hospital near Harker Heights/Killeen and put this place out of business.

Stay away from their ER!!! Our daughter was taken to Seaton's ER 9/30/14 by EMS for a GI viral infection (vomiting, diarrhea, GI pain, lower extremity numbness and dizziness) over 24 hours. First, she was put in a very dirty room (pictures to prove). Literally, dirty everywhere! Second, she was give pain medicine to control the pain and offered nausea medicine a couple hour later. After 2-3 hours no labs were ordered. Had to ask for labs. Finally, a nurse came and did a virus swab, but never submitted it because she left it in bed with patient. After about four hours when patient's pain returned they decided to do chest x-ray and ct scan of abdomen. The staff seems more interested in socializing with each other and the attending doctor was detached emotionally. The attending doctor came in room and told patient "these viruses are putting people in the dirt." Why did she feel the need to say that - it was an unnecessary statement. Needless to say, service was horrible; bedside manners was terrible and overall professionalism sucked.

This has to be the absolute worst hospital I have ever been in. They sent me home with an abcess the size of a golf ball in my neck. They didnt do an ultrasound, cat scan or anything. Then they billed me for 4,892. Will NEVER go to this hospital again even if it means life or death, I'll risk the drive to Scott & White in temple.

I had an amazing experience here! The Labor and Delivery dept was fabulous! I couldn't have asked for a better team everyone from the phlebotomist, nurse, physician, clerk and anyone else. Great Customer Service! The fact that I had the same nurse every shift spoke volumes to me!
They Were Amazing!!!!

Worse ER ever, I was unable to urinate and went there instead of going with my original plan of going to Darnell ER I waited 2 hours and all they did was give me a shot for the pain and discharged me, we ended up having to go to Darnell ER a few hours later because of all the pain I was in. They did a bladder scan, blood work and ultrasound. Never go to this ER your better off driving to temple or if your military affiliated to go Darnell they have gotten a lot better! Seton mine as well let you die. Never again going to that ER.

The nurses and doctors are great I use to come seaton alot especially with my first pregnancy. I am currently pregnant again so just like before I attended this hospital. Anyway I got dropped off at the hospital since I'm not feeling good just like before and just like a situation that occurred before I had to over wait my stay but unlike last time I didn't have a cop constantly nagging me about when I was going to leave. It's freezing outside I'm pregnant i live far and nobody is picking up the phone to come pick me up and I'm not about to walk and I'm already in pain. He is a black officer bald and kind of an older gentleman. I understand policy and everything but I've never had this problem before and I most definitely and not about to wait outside in the cold. I been here since 9pm my friend probably won't get up til about 7,8 or 9am. It's current 5:48am I wish he would just leave me alone cause I don't wanna be here no more than he wants me here. Nobody else is bothering me EXCEPT HIM. Im already drained.

New to the area. Choose to go to Seton Medical... what a mistake. I was told the 1st visit was going to be paid for in by my medical insurance yet I receive a bill for 35.00. I go back 30 days later and have to pay another 73.00 all for mammograms, ultrasounds that they should have called my doctor and told her that I needed a biopsy instead they sent me a letter and report to my doctor. I have yet to receive a call from them to schedule the biopsy. So I fell like I am falling through the cracks and my life is not important to them. I hate that feel that way as I am not use to being mistreated. I have always had good care. Guess i am going to have to go back to dallas to get a biopsy done or even HOSUTON. Its a DAMN shame, that you have hospitals here in Killeen but service is so DAMN bad.

This is the worst hospital. The doctors do everything they can to go around your problems and symptoms your having. It's a complete waste of time. You end up getting billed thousands of dollars for a ER visit, and they don't even do everything they can to try and help you and your situation. Avoid this hospital, don't waste your time. Go elsewhere.

I came to the ER on Saturday. I was extremely dizzy, had muscle pain, and felt overall sick. I tried to explain that I have an almost decade long history with vitamin and iron deficiencies (I have been in the critical situations with both hemoglobin/iron and potassium before). I know that dizziness, feeling faint, and muscle pain are all symptoms of possible imbalances, especially potassium. I also said that my blood pressure is always on the high side when they said I appeared to have a heart rate similar to a panic attack (Let it be known I was calm, breathing steadily, and talking normally to them. Things that would not be the case during a severe panic attack.)
They gave me anxiety medication and I went home. Last night I felt even dizzier, my breathing was labored and I had chest pains. Because I left central Texas yesterday morning and went back to San Antonio where I attend school, I was not close to my family who would have been able to give me a ride to a hospital, and had to call EMS. I had heart arrhythmia and my blood pressure was even higher. When they took my blood I was critically low on potassium and had to stay in the emergency room for multiple hours for them to replenish my potassium, magnesium, and overall fluid levels. I will also probably have to return to central Texas tomorrow to get infusions as my levels were so low that the pills I received in the ER will likely not be enough long term.
I asked them to take blood to check my levels and the doctor at Seton refused because he was certain I was only having anxiety, completely ignoring my long medical history of deficiencies and hospitalizations as a result of them.

Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights is absolute...

Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights is absolutely horrible. Specifically, as others have stated, the billing department is completely inept. This hospital has no compassion or empathy for its patients or their family. My wife was taken to this hospital due to hyperactive delirium from her pancreatic cancer. Her stay was contracted under Compassus hospice service. Compassus pays for her treatment as per their contract with this hospital. My wife, even though she was under a 1 to 1, 24-hour watch, was still somehow allowed to aspirate on her own vomit that took 2 days for them to clear from her lungs. She was supposed to be upright as well because this was a known potential threat to her safety and health. Because of her agitated state from the delirium she constantly tried to get out of bed and since it is illegal to restrain a patient, they put her rails up and laid her flat so she couldn't get up which is where she aspirated over the night. She was in a position she was not supposed to be in and she was apparently not being watched by the required staff to keep her safe. The rooms are dirty and unkempt and one morning I came in, her bed, robe and she was covered in her own feces, this was very noticeable from the first moment I walked in the room just from the smell and visible everywhere with her aid sitting right beside her. I had to make the aid get off her butt and help me clean her up. The Doctor that was in charge of her, Dr. Fomby, never came to the room, never spoke to me while she was in the hospital for more than a minute or two and I had to stop her if I was lucky enough to catch her in the hallway just to get that. When I did get to talk to her briefly, she did not listen to anything that I told her as my wife s agent of end of life care. I literally had to fight with this hospital everyday my wife was in here, adding severe stress to an already overwhelming situation. The Doctors are bad here and the nurses and staff are much worse but billing takes the cake here. I was harassed by Seton's billing department every single day my wife was in this hospital and this harassment was done in her room with me and the hospice service explaining to them that Compassus was responsible for the payments of all her stay while there. Every single day, the billing department came to her room telling me I need to sign their financial paperwork to be billed and everyday we gave them the same and correct information, Compassus is paying for this. Every day, instead of me spending some time with my wife before she died, I had to spend this time having stressful arguments, making phone calls and dealing with people and a situation that I had no reason to be dealing with, other than their inadequacies in doing their very simple job. This even was discussed between the hospitals house manager, Lisa and the billing supervisor and the director of Compassus, Denise. After this meeting, I was finally told that it was resolved and I wouldn t be bothered anymore. I wasn t bothered by them for the last day she was there but now a few weeks after her discharge and two days before I receive my wife s remains, I receive the full bill. A doctor that wasn t even caring for her at that, which means of course there will be much more to come. Thousands upon thousands of dollars that is supposed to be billed to the hospice service was billed to Medicare which my wife was not even qualified for, nor had. It obviously wasn t paid by Medicare so now I have been sent the bill in its entirety. This hospital has many complaints and they all seem to fall under everything I just experienced. Now I have to go fight with these people once again all while trying to set my wife to rest. Seton Medical Center seriously needs a state or even federal led investigation as to why a U.S health care service is so irresponsible, negligent and inept in what seems to be the entire hospital, from billing all the way to the head of the hospital.
