Always super busy due to being in Central London but so much choice. Can even go in just to grab a bite to eat from the food court. Not just luxury brands, but some high street too. Could spend hours in there browsing and not have seen everything Selfridges has to offer.

I'll always give William Selfridge five stars; but to be perfectly honest we miss the old store before they turned it into a modern California Galleria -- not to feel bad, every retailer has been spooked by the internet and English traditional fare has hit the proverbial moat. The high Street is in big trouble, along with the older buildings in London. Too bad. The old Selfridge rocked on with men's clothing on ground floor the minute you came through the heavy side doors annual sales were great. Up market GAP, we don't need. Is there any big label NOT selling tennis shoes? Haute Couture is dead. Grime music for the homies will not bring cash to da hood. London forgot how to be London. So glad to see it before it died away. Some pockets exist now tucked away in small shops behind Piccadilly but even they are disappearing fast. I'll give some good marks to the food hall, but still only a shell of it former self; shrunken and compact but still international but sit down substitute eateries dominate (like Harrods, there must be more quick money in the restaurant trade but still fresh limited produce and meats for home. Fish monger looks fresh. If you're after some good hot pastrami and WiFi they have it...one bit of modern I don't mind...it celebrates a 50 year anniversary....hello, one hot corned beef on rye please!

I walk around this expansive hell of expensive clutter with one lingering thought,

"Wake, work, spend, repeat.
You'll never be enough,
You'll never be enough,
You'll never be enough,
You'll never be enough,
You'll never be enough."

There is more to life. Aimlessly walking around this leviathan of a shop, which in itself takes a couple hours to cover without stopping, I realise the utter meaningless of this endless tirade of material bullshhhh, that's replaced every season with the new line of 'You'll never be enough' whatever.

Usually this experience is followed by a sad tube ride home.

Well who doesn't know Selfridges? The oldest shopping mall in one of the busiest fashion streets in the world, Oxford Street with an open and touch 'em 'all approach!

Even if you don't want to shop, have a look inside; you may be intrigued by the hundreds of candy flavours in the Food Hall!

Just had a little look in here, staff were very friendly and willing to help. No offers or sale which is what I was looking for. I must admit i love the feel in Selfridges though, I think it s very neatly designed and kept.

Nice big department store , plenty to choose from and the staff are all really friendly. My friend was buying a gift from Louis Vuitton and the girl in there was really helpful and friendly. Found the sales person in Prada to be a bit grumpy, she didn't really help us and seemed quite dismissive, a shame because we didn't end up getting what we wanted from there because she put us off.

Love Selfridges, there is always something new to explore. I was looking for gin for a friend and they didn't disappoint. Both sides of one display were full of many different types and flavors of gin. I can't wait to try more!

I had an on line purchase issue that was handled brilliantly. David from Customer Care was excellent to say the least. It is no wonder this company wins awards for world's best department store. Certainly the best service from a retailer I have ever experienced.
