Currently undergoing a major refurbishment, which takes a little away from the experience of shopping here. A genuine 5 star experience only given 4 due to the construction work currently going on in-store.

This is a large department store in Central London. It has all the goods you want or can imagine, whether be it a popular brand or not. Prices are reasonable commensurate with its status. There are various eating outlets to suit all appetites. I first patronized this store in 1985 when I first visited the UK, since then I visited this store every time I visited London. I have no reservation to recommend this store to everyone.

The model for the modern department store in the 21st century. Lots on offer, but you need deep pockets. Top brands at top prices. However, it's a nice place to indulge once in a while.

A very upscale department store that sells almost anything you could ever dream of. Only Harrods is more exclusive. Qualities of the products are mostly excellent. You can find many different brands and always new high tech products in Technology area.

This is a great store. World famous with there yellow bags. They sell just about everything you could possibly ever want or need.
The place is enormous and it takes a long time to get around it all (probably best not to try)
They have fantastic window displays and the stock is considerately merchandised throughout the space.
It s prices, but then it london, and Selfridges...

From opticians to the restaurants upstairs I love it all. You may pop in for a bite or shop exclusive fragrances, get an eye test or buy some makeup. Selfridges has it all. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful.

Great selection of clothes, shoes, bags, and beauty products. Their customer service is amazing.
I really enjoy their Food Hall as well, one of the best Red Velvet Cakes I ever had! And if you go at closing time, you can find it for 75% off!

Selfridges gives space to a Psychic Reader. I think this to be offensive and in bad taste. I would have thought that this shop has a good reputation and a proud name, but I cannot think this now that I know that they let a professional charlatan exploit gullible customers.
You would think that Selfridges cares about its reputation, or that they care about giving their customers a positive experience, or that they recognise their role in society - but apparently not.

As long as they won't cancel the tenancy of that reader, issue a public apology and offer a full and unconditional refund to anyone that's been scammed by their resident psychic, I won't ever spend money there again and I will encourage others to not go there.

Letter of complaint to follow!

A must see while in London UK. The full English breakfast offered in the restaurant is an organic tags on that theme which is interesting.

A very interesting storre to browse and less snooty than Harrods.

A visit to Selfridges for me is an excuse to partake of the delights of The Brass Rail restaurant. The last few remaining salt beef serving restaurants in London. Sadly Baker Street and Golders Green lost many well established Kosher Salt Beef eateries. For those of us non jewish cognizanti's these were tragic departures. The Brass Rail continues the tradition of providing what is probably no more then a few salt beef eateries. The excellent beef is from Irish farms, the well prepared beef is normally lean, well seasoned and all the excellent trimmings including a creditable dill pickle. The bread to choose of course is the rye. All in all worth visiting when in London.

A great place to shop, with a good range of selections and brands. Almost one stop for all. Friendly staff. Tax refund service is available. But no sufficient map and guidance of brands.

I first visited Selfridges in 1993 and was extremely mesmerised. The department store was was very huge, I thought bigger than Harrods. The store stood out on Oxford street.
I spent whole day in the electronic section. All latest gadgets could be fine in one place.
The store is near and tidy, all the department have a unique theme. Public convenience is also very good.
I visited the store in the evening too, the window decorations were outstanding. They changed the window decorations every week.
Visited the store after about 26 years in July 2019. It still stands out on Oxford street. Spent couple of hours again in the electronic section. And mesmerised again.

I ordered a Stella McCartney dress, paid full price, and also paid for expedited shipping so I could wear the dress to an event this past weekend. The store sent the dress and failed to take off the security sensor. I was able to go to a local store and have the sensor removed, and I requested that Selfridges refund me the expedited shipping costs because I wasn't able to wear the dress. They said no! Seems to me if the store made the mistake and sent me the dress without taking off the sensor, they should do something for the inconvenience I had with both not being able to wear the dress to the event and having to go to a few stores to find someone that could take off the sensor. Incredibly poor customer service and will be my last purchase for sure!!!!

What can i say, every time when we are in London we came to the Selfridges and go downstairs to the Harry Gordon's Bar & Kitchen and have carafe of white wine. There is nothing so special about it, but it is our thing...

Is very nice place but the parfume shops are stinking so badly that you can't even breathe. Is really disappointing to enter in there and first thing is that hilarious smell. I really can't understand what people feel when they're trying them, is like getting confused and not knowing what to buy.

Really bad!!

I got my watch from Armani at self fridges. I like to go to self fridges rather than going anywhere else -its a got to shopping destination if you need all brands under one roof, with high quality service. The food court is quite sophisticated and you get descent people around. No crowd!

Well it's my favorite store in the world. Chatted to the guy at the wonderful whiskey section. The lady at the jewellery section let me try on all the rings and never got annoyed when I didn't buy. Finally the lady at the cheese counter let me try all the interesting looking cheeses. Yes it's still the best store in the world for me.
