Went to exchange bad tool, manager stated tool had rust on it and refused to exchange. I informed him tools was defective working whenever. Was told it was rusted that's why it didn't work. Showed him it was not rusted and it work but only when it wanted to. Finally exchanged tool but just walked away without any customer service skills after being corrected in a nice manner. Sad, that craftsman has lifetime replacement on tools then deal with nonsense in store.

Well, I have been a loyal customer of Sears since 1975. I purchased tires from the Merrillville Sears Auto store, along with flat repair and road hazard agreement for an additional cost. Recently a tire kept going down, so I called for an appointment to take it in. Merrillville gave me an appointment, I showed up to a completely empty auto center. I called and got an appointment today at Chicago Ridge Mall Auto Center for 12:00 pm. I arrived and was checked in at 11:50, explained the problem with the tire and also requested a tire rotation if possible. I was told it was put on the service call. At 1:30 I observed other customers coming and going, while my vehicle had not been brought into the shop to have the tire serviced. After that I was told I was not put on the list, but I would be next. How could I not be on the list with an appointment and checked in???? To top it all off, the person who serviced my tire seemed to have an attitude when I asked if the tire will be safe if repaired since winter is coming and temperature affects the tires. He told me to talk to the initial service representative about my question and concern. After I was assured the tire would be repaired sufficiently, and the piece of metal removed, it would be safe. By the time the tire was repaired and replaced, it was almost 3 o'clock. "Oh, by the way," I was told, "We didn't do the tire rotation." Really? Well I knew that, since only one tire was touched and removed, which was the one I was having problems with. I am very disappointed with the quality of service, or should I say, lack thereof I received today. When you purchase tires, you are supposed to keep them inflated correctly and rotate them on schedule as well to keep the warranty in effect. It is hard to do the right thing when you take your car to the place where you purchase the tires, and they won't provide the service you ask them to provide. Things were a lot different in 1975. No wonder stores are closing left and right!

I specifically asked the check out girl with the head wrap to hold my items until closing. Guess what when I arrive in line before closing my items have been put back and not just that, they were put back in the wrong section. Horrible customer service!

Worst customer service in the Auto Repairs I've ever encountered! When a customer says they are having a problem with a tire, and all they do is connect it to a device and NOT bother to take it off to get a better visual inside, that's bad service. I've had the ongoing problem and they refuse to give me a new one. They didn't even drive it far enough to feel the problem I'm having themselves, smh!! Bad service - period!!! I will be calling the corporate office today!

If I could give this zero stars I would. Two weeks ago I bought my son two pairs of jeans a this location. After a day he realized that they were too short. On his next visit to me we attempted to return them for an exchange. we had the receipt and the tags. We were told that because he removed the tags that we could not exchange them. I had to purchase another two pairs. I know the struggles of Sears but as of now I look forward to its demise. I will never shop there again

Poor service, no one upstairs to help us at all. The products were all mixed up in linens and we can't tell what's on sale even though they have sale signs up over the products. Really long line at checkout and only one cashier.
