Australians BEWARE. When you arrive you will be made to pay a "reciprocity tax" of around $115 US on arrival. There is one slow cashier that takes the money so if you come with a plane load of aussies expect up to an hour wait. When leaving on LATAM any bottled water will be confiscated just before you enter the plane. There is no notice of this and no logical reason given. No airport shop owner will tell you when you buy it. It is quite a scam and didn't happen to us anywhere else on 10 flights in south america.

Efficient airport with fast security and helpful staff. Lots of restaurant and shop choice once inside. Glad to find charging points also.

Nice airport and quite efficient. You can get there by bus from the center (approx. 40-50minutes) that costs 1700 ch$. Passport control took about 15 minutes and although the queue looks long, it goes fast. Better to wait for your flight after the security control, because there are plenty of cafes and restaurants.

The airport handles connections in a really bad manner. The delivery of baggage is extremely poor ! I thought they should tag the bag which are in connection for domestic flight since they make you get it to do immigration and then returned it.. This process takes a long time and not good for people with short time for the layover . I suggested it to one of the girls at the airport from LAN and she seems upset about it. There is not connection airside for smooth transition you practically have to out to landslide and get the normal way inside the domestic departures . Extremely poor management . The airport itself is so so bad looking but could do better .
