When a couple approached us with the idea of photographing their wedding at Science World, I was excited with the possibilities of using the numerous artifacts in the exhibits as props for pictures, but then they mentioned that the entire wedding will be a Stars Wars theme wedding! The perfect place for sci-fi themed wedding. (Photos by Farawayland Weddings)

Lots of good, hands-on things to do and watch; very well explained. More than you can see in one day. Great for for kids, but also for adults who still like to learn.
Don't shortchange yourself by coming late in the day here! Be sure to come early so that you can truly take in the whole mind blowing experience here!
From extraordinary IMAX theater movie experiences to amazing interactive fun exhibits, you will be constantly engaged no matter your age here.
There is even an exhibit here that you need to use your mind to control a moving ball vs another person doing the exact same thing!
There are exhibits here that explore feats of strength, dexterity, creativity, daring and guile!
Every little detail has been well thought out with even an area where the windows can be blacked out with the flick of a switch!
My little boys particularly loved the water display area where they worked hard to discover how to build an effective dam to block a constant stream of water with blocks and other materials. They didn't even realize how much they were learning while having a blast! If only school could always be this fun too!
There is a decent restaurant here as well that doesn't take too long and has plenty of seating so you don't have to worry about leaving and coming back.
This should definitely be on your list while visiting Vancouver. Calgary has Telus World Science Center too, but nothing like this!
I love coming here and bringing my little sisters or guests. Super fun to learn all about science but in a way that engages the kids to actually want to learn. So many fun things to do here
Great place for little ones to explore/ if you go around 3pm there s barely anyone there so lots of social distancing and my daughter got to play with the activities over and over
I had not been in years and enjoyed the updated exhibits. My kids aged 2-10 all had a great time. I recommend bringing a lunch as buying lunch was costly and time consuming.
Best for younger <5 kids. If yours are older than that, they will run out of things to do and touch in short order. Has a few places to grab snack, but that's about it. Outdoor area is closed for the winter.
I was there for a conference and was able to check out a few exhibits. What a cool place to visit with a family. It loses a star because the meeting rooms lack AC power. I was lucky enough to get one of the few available outlets; only because I was early for the session and discovered the shortage before others showed up.
My 6 year old was very entertained, but my twin 11 year olds were turned off by most of the museum, as they were too old for most of the exhibits. The demonstrations at the different stages were well done and seemed most enjoyed by my whole family.
Just about every hour there's a science show that attracts everyone in all ages. Views above are better than below. From now until January, there are movies about how Pixar movies are made. Food court is lacking selection so recommend you pack it in.
Love goig to science world...we have a pass and go at least monthly. The only reason this review isn't a five star is the lack of cheap or instant food options. I'd pay the price for healthy vending machine food but waiting in line for 40 min for an 8 dollar burger is too much. Pro tip bring your own food. All else is awesome.
I love this place! Been going here since I was a little kid. Sparked my interest in science, and is one of the reasons why I studied mechanical engineering
I'd like to start off by saying this is a fun little science centre, however, it caters mainly to children. I went here with a friend of mine (both of us are 30 years old) and I'll be honest, it was a little boring. If you have young children this would be an amazing place to come but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to come here otherwise.
I have been consistently visiting for 5 years, my daughter has been enjoying this place thoroughly and membership has been so worth it. So much to learn, play, and have fun with. Always great exhibits and well maintained facility.
Great experience young and old... my daughters loved it. 5 and 7... There were even things for adults to find appealing. Lots of interactive events... but also what you'd typically expect from venues such as... it was a bit pricey considering venues such as the Seattle science center has more to do then science world here in Vancouver.
Wonderful place to be with family on a rainy day. They have special displays and exhibits added time to time. It's not my favorite place to go on a sunny day. However it's in my yearly bucket list with kids.
The place is very beautiful and very well organized, with a lot of structure, but the tour is aimed more at parents with children. There are many experiences and exhibitions, but everything is very playful and always aimed at the little ones.
I went to Science World After Dark with my girlfriend where the entire museum is closed off for just adults (19+). It was a ton of fun going around to all the different exhibits and shows. They even had a mirror maze which was a great photo op. I would definitely recommend coming here.
Great place for family. Lots of exciting exhibits, friendly staff and shows for kids. Generally busy everyday, paid parking, take the skytrain when you visit.
Admission is pricey, and the permanent exhibits are tired... Some things have been there since I was a kid. We will go if there is an interesting feature exhibit, but they don't change it up often.
Its a fun place to take the kids for an afternoon. Self explanatory on their website. Overall, it's not very different each time so it becomes repetitive and boring.
