This place was awesome. It is in the basement of a much larger brewery from 1827. They offered half guest beers and half beers they had brewed. The two beers I had were unique and delightful. The inside was in a dome shape layed in brick with a fireplace at one side and a bar at the other. I met the bar manager who was super cool and chated me up for quite a while telling me all about the location and what they were all about. The only thing I would have like about it more is if were blasting some Norwegian black metal or something heavy I like it. The entrance can be had to find so don't give up cause it's worth it.

Good bar with crazy English weirdo behind the bar. They have a fire. The power went out at one point... but that made it way better. It was like being in some viking hall. I highly recommend drinking large quantities of craft beer here. Not going to lie. Did have a lot of farts. But I guess that means it's good beer...

In the winter they light the fire. They always have some imported beers on tap in addition to their own micro-brews, which are always excellent.
The bartenders are very good at pushing strong and delicious beers at the customers, so make sure you dont get too drunk...

Norway s oldest brewery. Unique location in an old beer cellar. Great selection on tap of both their own microbrews and beer from other breweries. Extensive bottle list. Great atmosphere and a lovely fireplace to keep you warm in winter.

Great place to have beer in Oslo in an authentic place beer cellar. Extensive selection, and very knowledgeable staff that can easily recommend something you're bound to like if you tell them what your preferences are. I hear it's really cozy in the winter with the fireplace burning, but have yet to experience this myself.

Greatest pub/bar I know in Oslo! Has a large selection of excellent beers (much more than your basic pilsner), is super cozy with its brick walls and the open fire place and has a very cool atmosphere. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for Norwegian standards (beer at around 90 NOK) and the beer is definitely worth it. I can recommend going there to everyone!

Veldig bra!

For a bar that doesn't have any music, it's crazy how loud this place gets. My friends say it's acoustics, because of the shape of the (basement) room.
Good choice of beers on tap, comfy seating, and a fire place are why you wanna go there.

We went to the cellar for beers. It was a warm evening so most people were outside and we had the whole place to ourselves. Great service, the beers were awesome and the space is one of the coolest places to drink beer on a rainy day. Very cozy!

Very good microbrewery at an ok price. The rooms are dark and atmospheric and there is good air even though it is a basement. Unfortunately a lot of noise in the room, so it gets noisy when it's full.

Fantastic place to drink a very good craft beer ....

Fantastic place to drink a very good craft beer . A wide selection of beer nal with tincture and bottled. The place itself is small but cozy with lots of seating for groups as well as individual guests. I highly recommend it to everyone who likes kraft beer. An obligatory place on the map of Norwegian microbreweries.

Great place to visit in Oslo for the beer lover. Historic ambience which can range from eerily quiet to pub-level loudness in a single evening.

Twenty draft beers and a serious bottle selection of sours and stouts from across the world. Half of the draft selection is their own beer while the other half are guest drafts from various US and European breweries. Their own beers cover all styles, from fruited pilsners and sours to IPAs and barrel aged stouts. The guest selections is also on-point. (They are a verified venue on Untappd and keep both draft and bottle listed updated.)

Walking distance from the train station, but can be a little difficult to find as some of the local signage points towards the actual brewery which is not open to the public. If you find yourself trying to find the entrance of the old brick building with a tall smokestack then head south and you'll find the underground bar in a smaller square brick building.

Very nice IPAs and similar beers, some nice stouts as well. If your taste is on blonder beers and weissbier, the tap selection is a bit sad.
Setting is nice, friendly staff and crowd, and no music.

The beer selection is very good and the locally brewed beer is excellent. But the best thing is the place itself. The basement where it is located is really nice and cosy, and the fireplace makes it perfect for a winter evening!

Do not miss if you're a fan of craft beer or incredible spaces. Head and shoulders above the other craft beer we tried in Oslo. Interesting styles but also some classics including a delicious IPA. Most around 85 NOK. The space is incredibly atmospheric. We visited on a cool rainy day and they had a fire burning.

Great craft beer with a decent bottle selection. The atmosphere is nice, but as the place gets crowded it gets really noisy and hard to talk to the people at your table without shouting. Cozy fireplace, large tables fit for groups.

Great selection of draught beers, even better atmosphere but the best of the place is their own brew beers!

The beer I tasted is full bodied, thick mouth feel, and really special! Imperial stout with strong chocolate vanilla taste? How about some chili finishing!

The place is cozy and historical. It almost feels like you went back in time and drink in the last century underground dungeon.

The service is excellent as well! The people will patiently explain about their beers, the taste and some short talk.

Excellent!!!

Giant underground cavernous brick cellar filled with good beer, good people, amazing atmosphere, and a giant fireplace. We accidentally spent 5 hours in here and left at half 3 in the morning. 10/10 would repeat.

This is one of the best craft beer places in town. It's a subterranean type bar which is truly a unique setup. So many beers to choose from and a full range of craft available including some cellar stored beers. This place is a must for beer lovers visiting Oslo. I'll be back for sure

My favorite beer bar in Oslo so far! Their own craft beer selection is solid and the ones I tried were outstanding. The bar also features pours from around the world -- I noticed an offering from Cigar City (Tampa, FL, USA) -- as well as free WiFi. Really interesting underground setting, too.

Fantastic city! Much resilient beer pier at "eingong recipes". Just fit friendly staff. Good nut mixture. Tend to fit the fireplace when me is there in the winter. Often full, but slap you down by people you do not know.

If you are looking for beer and high noise levels go here. Ok selection of beers. If you want really good beer, you should go elsewhere. If you also want to enjoy beer in quieter surroundings, stay away.

Really nice craft beers for the beer lovers. Their variety is not as big as BrewDog bar or Crow bar, but the quality of beers is as good as it gets. A really nice environment with dimmed light. I don't think they sell food but can get some nuts with your beer.

A great place to grab a drink! There s a great selection of beers here and some enthusiastic staff who have us suggestions and many tasters! Our bartender was super friendly and really made for an enjoyable night!

The atmosphere is very cool as it is underground right by the fermenters! If you re into some good beers then this is defiantly a place to try!

Amazingly atmospheric old brick cellar serving 10 of their own kegged beers (all brewed on-site on the beautiful copper kit to a very high quality... The White IPA was fantastic) and 5 guest brews (Wild Beer Company and Evil Twin were featured when I visited). Knowledgeable and friendly service from the staff. A beer geek's dream bar.

Dark underground lighting, bad acoustics, you can't hear anything of what you're saying, very unpolite snarky pony tailed bartender, just slammed terminal at our table, made us handle the machine by ourselves and just not a very welcoming experience.

Great place to grab a beer in Oslo. I didn't check it any of the other bars in Oslo because I really liked this place. The feel and atmosphere of the place is old school. It's down a level underground, brick walled and has candles everywhere for most of the lighting. The staff was incredibly friendly.

Really great bar with a chill atmosphere, friendly staff, good beers, and plenty of comfortable seating around a big fire. This place is a really fun, chill spot to hang out with good friends.
