The old Garden was a classic but the renovated msg, fir some time now, is a real gem, just about every seat in the venue is good and compared to other arenas I feel the steps are not as steep. I will say the seats may be a bit tight for larger people but that is everywhere these days. Food and amenities were all over and things were accessible although half the escalators didnt seem to be turned on or not working at the time of our event. Overall a great place to see any show, a must go!

Had a great time seeing a hockey game here. Staff were all friendly and very professional. By a stroke of luck we happened to be in a suite all the staff hosting & serving food/drinks were wonderful. This was a great venue for hockey with lots of spirit. Easy in/out and near plenty of trains.

Great venue to see concerts as most seating has good views. If you're not super tall I recommend staying off the GA floor and go for tickets that are in sections 116 - 118 / 106 - 108, 210-212/ 223-225 for best views. Also good for NY Rangers hockey games.
Sound is good except if you're far away or high up but that's a typical law of physics and sound travel.

The only downsides are exorbitant prices on beer and snacks. Like $12 a beer I believe. Gouging!

Tip: don't hang around when the show ends. Get to the nearest exit ASAP to avoid being stuck like cattle on the stairs. You'll still have a crowd but early birds suffer much less!
I recommend this venue!
P.S. ENTRANCE IS ON 7TH AVE BETWEEN 31ST & 33RD ST.

Madison Square Garden is in the old Madison Square Garden it's a shame to say it's running down. I went to see Monica perform and was totally disappointed that I tripped on the carpet going up the staircase. The sound system was on point but you can see that the carpet that surrounded the sound speaker was torn I mean the customers who frequent Madison Square Garden also need to do their part in keeping it clean removing their garbage once they leave as well as not place in sharp objects onto the tops of the carpet speaker but what are you going to do right you can stop everybody from misbehaving. But it's not what it used to be

I am not a fan of the Garden. After the remodel there are less seats and they are more cramped. It does have good entry and exit points, but getting to them through the pan handlers and scalpers is difficult. Everything about the Garden is overpriced from the tickets to the food and drink.

Went to a NY Knicks game over the weekend with my good friend who was visiting for the first time. Had great seats and the overall interaction with staff was great. From the security guards to ushers to concession staff, they were all friendly and helpful.

Seen multiple boxing matches here. Haven t sat in a bad seat yet. Easy check in and no issues with workers. Would recommend checking out an event here. Hulu theatre although smaller is also a decent arena.

One of the best games I've ever seen the Ranger play against a Rival, The New Jersey Devils. 5-2 win over the Devils I'll take that. my only problem is my favorite player Mats Zuccarello got traded to the Dallas Stars that same days.

I hadn't been back in years and it is beautiful. The staff is great and everything is very clean. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that the seats are very close together. My friend, who towers over me, wasn't so comfortable and there is very little leg room.

Being born , raised, and still living in NYC I have gone to MSG countless time from Ringling Bros , to WWF back in the day. Countless concerts and basketball games. Concessions are great. My only complaint with the world's most favorite arena is the seating area is a little cramped in the stands area. Now it's much roomier in the floor seat but I guess that's what your paying for. Just saying if the stands seating was just a little more roomie would be top notch.

Went to watch a knicks game, wonderful experience. The staff are very nice there and any seat is good. But one thing that is bad is that the prices for seats are very expensive so my family had to buy tickets all the way at section 417

Great experience at the St John s game on 1/11/2020. The food and drinks services were good and staff was friendly and helpful. A small bad point was the loudness of the sound at some time and the lack of escalators at the end of the game.

But the arena itself is mythical and pretty nice.
