Very nice area. All clean. Lots of space and peace...
Very nice area. All clean. Lots of space and peace. Also a great view. Priced but a bit more expensive.

Nice location, gastronomy even passable. Unfortunately, there was a construction site in the spring.
We spent unforgettable hours in a dream location with sensational service! Very clear recommendation!
This is a must see especially when all the charm and delicious wine are blooming
Incredibly beautiful views of the Rhine, and some of the best wine in the Rhinegau
Very friendly staff, fantastic panoramic terrace, tasty food, also small dishes and cakes at fair prices
Fantastic property with beautiful views of the Rhine very good food and great wines and lots of information about the history of wine.
Beautifully situated castle, fantastic landscaped gardens. All in all, very worth seeing. Tip: visit the castle shop. Excellent wines and my special tip ... try the Gin Castle.
Fine cuisine, moderately high prices, delicious food.
An attraction! Historic place. Prince of Metternich, Charlemagne, family dr. Oetker et al. Everyone has to do with this place, I have let me know. Beautiful panorama and hiking place!
It's a shame that the Goetheblick wine stand is closed on weekdays.
This is a lovely location for a casual weekend stop. Beautiful views over the vineyard and valley. You can actually hike for some distance if so inclined. The church was open so we enjoyed looking around. Our preference is to just relax with a glass of the local wine. This was our second visit, driven by the fact that we enjoy the on-site restaurant which has a wonderful menu. I would suggest the charcuterie plate (an afternoon nibble) to be enjoyed with wine. OPEN hours for service are limited so check the website first. Table linens and decor make for a more formal setting, yet the feeling is casual with excellent service.
Price / performance ratio of the wine very high. Wine very expensive but also VERY GOOD.
The fact that the Johannisberg domain is the oldest winery in the world does not justify the high price, but the ambience and the view compensate every visitor for the higher prices. Definitely worth a trip / wine tasting!
It is one of the nicest castles out there and the food in the restaurant is delicious. We recommend
Super eatery with fine cuisine. The portions are not that big, but I like it. Meat dishes have plenty of meat. There is no beer! Only wines and other. The view on the terrace is fantastic. There is also a small vineyard for inexpensive dishes.
A very special place. Always worth a trip. If only because of the great view
Restaurant and cafe in a great location with a view over the Rheingau! Very busy! Quality of the food medium. Nice service!
Unfortunately lost some of its charm. E.g. the beautiful couch benches for hikers have been replaced by a fenced wine bar. A wine bar was also set up on the other side of the site and scenic corners were removed. It has completely slipped into a commercial setting. Even a number of trees were removed from parking lots.
Very beautiful winery, you can enjoy Riesling at the winery's restaurant, overlooking the entire Rhine River, the scenery is beautiful, and I forget both.
A visit is a must when you are in the Rheingau, only the wines in the vinotheque are more expensive than those in the open market.
Beautiful place to celebrate a birthday and the food was delicious! Staff were very accommodating
Stunning views. Beautiful Castel. Great Wine selection too.
Beautifully situated wine castle with beautiful abbey church
Not overcrowded during the week, nice area for walking, beautiful views, wine sales, food and drink good ...
Great location, nice view of the Rhine and the sunset, delicious food, good service ...
Self-service in such a place. Well, I do not know. The waiters were smartly dressed for that
1720-2020, Riesling Historic Site, good Restaurant. Take also a walk through the vineyards, great views to the Rhein Valley. Visit also the Curch and Caves.
Beautiful surroundings and a beautiful view worth seeing
Large and beautiful wine castle, beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards and the Rhine. Good but expensive restaurant. Wine shop with own wines.
A unique destination for hikes in the vineyards of the Rheingau and frequently used venue for the Rheingau music festival.
The vineyard only carries Riesling. The history of winegrowing goes back to the 8th century, the time of Charlemagne and is strongly influenced by the political changes in Europe. Even today, the tenth part of the proceeds goes to the descendants of the Habsburg family.
Uncomplicated service, thanks for that! Unfortunately the beautiful arcade and the avenue is no longer.
Wonderful place to walk around and get a glas of great Riesling. The views from the restaurant and the terrace are amazing, there is a good wine shop, I wouldn t call it cheap, but you definitely get the quality you pay for.
Simply a beautiful site with nice restaurants. Nice to go for a walk. Nice castle.
Very nice castle, with very good wines and sects from our own cultivation. Great view of the Rhine Valley.
An athmospheric palace with fascinating view to the Rhein. An ideal place to taste superb wines.
You just have to visit and visit the view, the very well-kept castle and the gastronomy. Beautiful is hardly.
Beautiful view! This is one of the highlights of the Rhein Main Bergstrasse. The wineyards produce one of the best wines of the region with a selection for all tastes.
Price performance ratio in a balanced ratio. Delicious.
Beautiful viees excellent wine and the restaurant is great too!
In the restaurant you can dine very delicious. Ambiance, view and the food are great. Prices are accordingly higher.
The visit can be combined very well with a walk around the castle. The castle is a popular destination for a wine hike
Great view from the back of the castle towards Rhine river.
Historical, vineyards with its own distillery, great food, very spacious, long distances but worth a good visit -
As a sisi closed. Beautiful and great party had there
Just Johannesburg Castle! If you don't appreciate it, you don't deserve it!
Very nice atmosphere. Very nice and quiet location. Very friendly and competent service. Delicious food. Excellent and highly recommended
It is historic and the splendid natural environment makes it a fabulous tourist destination
It was queit and refreshing, the service was polite and attentive.
Great place to taste wine and enjoy the view. Dully recommended.
Wonderful view and a possibility to have some snacks and wine while enjoying being far above the city. Beautiful castle too with lots of Instagramm worthy oportunities.
Instead of entrance private property ... there is nothing to visit
Unfortunately no regular tours. Otherwise, but very nice.
Wonderful landscape, view over the vineyard of the winery and the Rhine!
