I volunteered and honestly it was the most sweet adorable caring place i ve ever been to. Diana was the sweetest human being i ve ever met she made me and my sister feel at home. I honestly could not have asked for a better greeting from her or anyone. She makes me want to go there everyday just to be with her and the dogs. If i could give infinite amount of stars i would she has made me have the best experience that i could have asked for.

Very poor customer service, was told I was trespassing on their property when I arrived. I asked why, and the response was that I did not call ahead of time, a policy I was not aware of. I didn't even have a chance to introduce myself before I knew I was not welcome. I was looking forward to adopting a pet from this local rescue but the people were very rude, I will not return. They were unkind to their animals as well, which I was very disappointed to see. You would think that at an animal rescue they would know that negative reinforcement is improper to use on dogs, pets simply do not understand why you yell/hit them. Highly disappointed, the facility has much room for improvement.

Diana is truly an angel - these dogs are her life and without her, i cannot imagine where they'd be. I am so very grateful that Hunter had a chance to start over again with a family that could give him the training, love and attention he so badly needed. He is the sweetest most loveable pup in the world and i cannot imagine my life without him now that he is in my arms! I cannot recommend this Rescue enough! ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!

Diana is a wonderful caretaker! She truly puts the dog first in everything she does. I have been taking my dog there nearly every weekday for almost a year and my dog has the time of her life there! Diana is extremely flexible and always available to take care of her. My dog has separation anxiety so she can t be home alone. When last minute commitments come up or I need to just run somewhere for 2 hours, I ll call Diana and she s always ready to take Ruby at a moments notice! We are very lucky we found her.

Diana was the sweetest, she made me feel at ease leaving my Biggie with her. I have no doubt that she'll take care of him and the other 2 babies she has with her. And the many more to come. Leave the shelters alone, go to Diana! Thank you! Want to give up a pet due to unforeseen circumstances or adopt a pet, look no more!!!

They are a very caring group of people who really love animals. I fostered a pregnant dog and she had 4 pups. They found a fabulous couple to adopt 2 of the pups together. They make sure that the people are good for the animals.

It is incredible that these people are the ones responsible to look for caring owner for their sweet abandoned creatures. I called today and a man answered the phone. He was in a hurry to hang up and didn't let me explain what kind of dog was suitable for me as I dont have a big yard but a lot of love to give. It's incredible these people dedicate their life to decide who gets an angel dog and who doesn't. He made me complete the application and call diana who was rude and also in a hurry and just hung up on me after just listening that im looking fro a 6 months old dog but what I actually said was Im looking for a dog between 6 months old and 4 to 5 years old....heartbreaking,.made me cry...

Great lady, who I believe is truly in it to help these beautiful animals. She will be getting all of my donations from now on . The prices at her charitable rummage sales are very fair , unlike some who want you to pay a premium because it's a charity when they've been given these items.

When we were looking for a companion for our 14 year old Saint Bernard we only had to explain to her over the phone what type of dog he was and immediately she mentioned the name of Bella which is a rat terrier and she fit exactly into the family and has the funniest traits she was only 2 years old when they left her on death row and they had already Broward county animal Shelter had already come down and still in her puppies and left her on death row that would have been such a waste of a beautiful beautiful baby!

Diana was rude and unprofessional when speaking on the phone and it was truly unnecessary.

Response: I was not drunk. I am a professional. By the sound of your voice you seem like you've taken a hit or two from the crack pipe. And asking a question is not "going crazy". Secondly, I never even asked for the dog to be shipped. I was actually going to pick the dog up. I also never heard her say anything about a local dog pound so clearly this woman is completely dishonest. I ended the call with a thank you and was polite, something you are clearly not familiar with. Honestly, I wouldn't even trust a dog from your "rescue".

If i could give 0 stars I would I called to see if they had any room for my dog because i'm moving and i cant keep her and the guy on the phone was very disrespectful and rude When he answered there was loud music and i asked if this was a dog rescue and he said yeah it is so i asked if they had any room for my dog because im moving and i cant keep her so he says why would you go some where, where you cant keep your dog then he goes on to ask if i had her vaccinated or has she had her shots and i say no because i got her from a neighbor when i was 15 i didnt know i had to do all of that when i got her and im 18 now and shes perfectly healthy so the man tells he hes tired of dealing with irresponsible people like me and that he wont be helping me so hung up in the middle of him telling me i was all sorts of things before anyone decides to choose here make sure its your very last resort because they are not professional they are very rude and they need to fire whoever answered the phone on Thursday, January 28th at 10:13am

Deductions to Death Row Dog Rescue are not tax deductible. The organization had it's 501(c)(3) federal tax exempt status revoked on 5/15/2013 for failing to file tax returns for three consecutive years. This information can be verified on the IRS website.

I called to inquire about a five month old Schnauz...

I called to inquire about a five month old Schnauzer Mix named Bingo that I saw a post on Facebook since I follow DRRs Facebook page. The lady I spoke to Diana completely gave me the run around. I told her I was interested in adopting Bingo becuase I adopted my own Schnauzer Mix Max from Animal Aid when he was only five months old. Max and Bingo's story is very similar and I thought why not give this gorgeous puppy a home and he can gain a big brother that looks just like him. However, I guess I wasnt a good fit. Over the phone I was bombarded with questions. She immediatley told me a "lady" (talking about herself) would tell me no because I live in an apartment. So I responded that, so because I live in an apartment you're going to turn me down? I thought adopting a dog was to find it a loving home?" Also, I was told he's a very active puppy and that it wouldn't work. I am a track and field athlete training to compete in the olympics and my coach runs for his team country and is a world champion. She then proceeded to ask me if my coach can be a reference, as if I was lying. She asked me my age, about my schooling and numerous of other questions that had NOTHING to do with Bingo. I have a 2 year old dog, two guinea pigs, and a six year old rabbit who s to old to move from the Keys and we felt its best for her to stay where she's comfortable. Also, I work for a dog walking company called Wag. I have clients that trust me so much with their fur kids that they have become my own personal clients. I have received nothing less of a five star rating on my job. I also explained to her how I take my dog to the dog park everyday and theirs a dog park behind my building which is a 10 second walk. She still came up with excuses. Diana was extremely rude and defensive. I could tell she didn t want me to adopt Bingo at all. I am so bummed about not getting to meet Bingo. I know my family at home in the Keys and my dog would ve loved having him apart of our family. All my pets are rescued pets that were on the verge of being euthanized and I didn t want to shop but to adopt. She got really nasty and told me, "why don t I just look at the shelters where their are 600 dogs and 30-40 are being euthanized every day. Isn t Bingo a dog that needs a home? I pray and hope Bingo finds his forever home. He deserves the best family. As for Diana she was very rude, snappy, slick at the mouth and confrontational. Every time she questioned me with answers to try to prove I wasn t a good fit, I proved to her each time that I was! She told me she would have a lady (talking about herself) call me back and she was just the messenger. I asked her if she has my contact info and she said, yes, its the number you called off of." I ended up giving her my cell number anyway with the area code 305. She then proceeds to say wait your in Miami! If you had my number wouldn t you already know I don t have a 954 area code? I still encourage people to adopt here but beware. She definitely undermined me.
