Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Review

A-mazing! Second time back in two weeks. For lunch this time. Really wanted an appetizer that is on the dinner menu, and they made it for me. And it was as delicious as last time! Impeccable service. Gorgeous views on the patio! Worth the drive and price for a five star experience!

Sanctuary is a very beautiful and relaxing resort. It almost feels like your in a little community. The rooms are amazing and have a very welcoming style to them. The view from any room is perfect. It'sa perfect little getaway.

I came here recently for lunch, and overall it was a great experience. The waiter was attentive and helpful, the food was good (a little salty for my taste, but that's personal preference), and I like my drink. Only downside is that it is a little expensive for what you get, but the atmosphere and service do make up for that.

Great resort, but currently you run the risk of running into Harvey Weinstein.

We did not stay here but visited for dinner one evening and the views were beautiful and the food even better. Wonderful service and amazing menu!

This place was top notch from the minute we got there. The staff was unbelievably attentive, nice and helpful. The rooms were clean, modern and have amazing views. The whole resort sits in the side of Camelback so you are only minutes from everything. I would highly recommend staying here!

We've stayed here a few times and the rooms are different every time we stay, they always feel new and modern. We stayed in a mountain casita and the room was elegant, modern and comfortable. The bathrooms are enormous with spacious free standing tubs. The room and hotel are elevated over paradise valley providing views of desert and mountains. Our room had a balcony and a fireplace and both a living room and a bedroom. The walls are thick and the room was very quiet.

Just go there once and you'll see the beauty all around.

The sanctuary is a great relaxing adult getaway. Whether walking around the property, sitting by the pool, or having a drink at the bar, you can go for the weekend and relax without getting bored. The rooms are beautiful, bathroom amenities are great. This is the second time I've been and I still haven't been to the spa because the whole property feels like a spa. Oh, and the charred edamame is exquisite!

Made reservations through OpenTable. Arrived and was immediately seated. Our table was waiting. The waiter was attentive but drink orders took a rather long time to arrive. Food order was delivered quickly and was perfect. It was a relaxing and enjoyable meal experience.

Had dinner and drinks for Restaurant Week Phoenix, and couldn't have had a better experience. The menu was exciting, the view at sunset was lovely, exceptional food and service.

Pork chop is amazing and huge. Lobster tomato bisque is outstanding!

Wonderful resort in the hills overlooking Scottsdale. Gorgeous rooms, beds, bathrooms. Great food, full service spa, service is terrific with ability to request and reserve using text messaging, so convenient. I was here for a meeting of about 100 people. The meeting room was great, good sound, and spectacular views out of huge floor to ceiling windows. The only downside is the cost, but you get a lot of quality for the price. This is my second stay here, hope this conference is here again next year.

Skip it....I booked spa services for my daughter and myself for her first spa appointment. While the spa staff was great, the services were just meh. We were told we could use the infinity pool area after our services and when we got to the pool we were asked to leave by management as we were not guests at the hotel and that this was a "busy weekend." There were chairs open everywhere. We went back to the city at our hotel and sat outside at the pool and ran up a large food and beverage bill. I'm happy they wanted my money. I'll never go back and I'll never recommend this place. I'm a bit of a spa junkie and the best thing about it was the robes. FIVE STARS FOR THE ROBES!!

Extremely beautiful views. I have not had the pleasure of staying at the hotel. I did meet a friend for Tea. They treated me as though I was staying in the presidential suite. Thank you for the great service and beautiful views. Hopefully I will have a chance for a staycation this summer.

Absolutely beautiful scenery and a five-star top-of-the-line restaurant

Live music at the Jade Bar while over looking Paradise Valley from the side of Camelback mountain is one of the best patio and lounge settings in all of Scottsdale. Combine that with the beautiful Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort and you're in heaven. Beautifully manicured landscaping, luxury service, and all the amentities you can want.

Did not stay as a guest - attended a wedding. It was beautiful, definitely one of the best veiws in the valley.

The location is absolutely beautiful. Only popped in to the Jade Bar for a drink. Best service I've received with some of the best views in town!

I came to this establishment for a job position this morning and honestly it was a waste of my time I am more than qualified to work the pool area but I guess it's because my color of my skin I was unable to obtain that job.. I knew that Scottsdale had snooty people but I didn't know it would go against the job.. I got robbed for my Sunday and lost about a quarter tank of gas thanks a lot

This place is the epitome of peace and relaxation!! Never disappointed when visiting this disney land. I know the staff here deals with a lot, yet they are incredibly professional and kind each and every time! The entire place is very accommodating, don't be afraid to ask. The restaurant gives me fever dreams. Be sure to order some food while there even if it's just the HH burger! The bar can also whip up pretty much anything you can think of. Facilities are well maintained allowing you to really just melt away here in the desert. A must experience especially if you live here!

Listen, I m not sure how anyone could ever write a bad review about this place. This is hands down the best resort I had ever stayed at. My husband and I went for our one year anniversary and all the employees went above and beyond with every encounter. We got in early Friday of Labor Day weekend, and they let us check in before noon!!! (King mountain casita) We stayed through to Monday night and they even sent a text suggesting we hang around if we need to, not rushing us off the property at all. It was over the top incredible service. Beautiful views of camelback mountain. Gorgeous pool, and amazing poolside service. Waiters kept replacing water so we had cold water since it was a very hot weekend. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options. I saw a complaint about the resort fee but it didn t bother me knowing how much we had been helped and waited on by anyone and everyone. They clearly pay their employees well. There is no extra charge for having a car on the property. We stayed next to the smaller pool which was nice to hop in after dinner for late night, or even just to get away from the bigger pool for a bit which was a short walk away. Even with covid19, everything was still open. We didn t go to the spa simply since my hubby is weird about massages, but we walked around and saw the gym and boutique area. They have bikes you can use! we took to ride over to echo canyon trailhead on camelback. There was no parking left when we got there at 6:30am. It was a veryyyy challenging hike and we hike 14ers regularly. We wouldn t recommend going later than 7am, since it gets so hot. We heard the helicopter a lot for rescues. Bring plenty of water!!
I have already been raving about this place to anyone asking, and highly recommending to any couples looking for a getaway!! If we lived in Arizona we would come here more!!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Excellent dining experience! Enjoyed seeing the setting sun hitting the mountains.

The hour massage was awesome but a male masseuse would have been a better fit for a guy with my preferences...all in all very nice!

Beautiful grounds, staff will treat you like royalty. Everyone really goes out of their way for guests and will try to customize your visit in any way possible. Had a great time!

We decided to stay in Phoenix with a friend for our annual vacation. Thanks to some time off, we were able to spend the entire day in the spa. From gorgeous facilities, thoughtful and attentive staff and elegant decor we were stunned. My fiancee and best friend were treated so well by a very friendly staff. We enjoyed massages & facials along with breakfast poolside from the restaurant. The hot tub(s) were all great, pool warm and steam showers, bathrooms, pristine. To say we had a wonderful day would be an understatement. John is an excellent masseuse, I highly recommend him. We will be back next year for sure!

A must visit location. Great restaurant, fantastic ambiance and views, amazing food and outstanding service. Average cost for two plus a bottle of wine will be around $150-75 range, but the experince is worth the cost, especially if it's a special occasion.

Only came here for drinks and the views! Expensive but swanky bar that has big glass windows. Fun stop if you're in the area and doing a little drinking tour like us! We got the tiki punch bowl drink for 4 and walked around outside.

Currently only 2 of the tennis courts are in play. They are hard court. The pros are excellent.

Beautiful place, peaceful and quiet. Nice warm weather..Great food!

This place is amazing! And their latin nights at Jade are even better. The only thing is that they end the fun too soon, 10 pm. That is the down side. Other than that, you get complimentary valet and are trated like the queen you are, with great ambiance and with a perfect view of the city.

This place rocks!! But DO NOT go without grabbing drinks at Jade bar!

Wonderful place, absolutely gorgeous! Every member of the staff was so helpful and friendly. Loved that we had a real fireplace in our room. Great spa, and massages. Food was good but a little too pricey...but you pay for the incredible views and ambiance.
