San Diego County Fair Review

This place is huge. Make sure you get here early to have a little extra time for traffic.

Best. Fair. Ever... Better than the State Fair by far! Go to Del Mar.

It was a sold out show! Hilarious!

Crowded of course, costly of course. Took public transit down it was great and on time no traffic.

It was nice. Experiance was severely tainted.by the food and drink costs. I will bring my own from now on.

I love this place there are so many rides but to tell you get to the fair as early as you can because the lines won't be long early in the morning but when it is night there is so many people and the lines are packed and there was one of the staff that where very rude when I was in the fun house the staff yelled at me and said hey you can't do that and when you get out of the fun house don't come back

Wasn't at the Fair....I was at Del Mar Race Track....nicest in the country!

Attended 3x's in 2019. 3 concerts, 3 different seating areas, experienced different aspects of the Fair each time...but had a caramel ice cream sundae each time!

I have neuropathy & use a Walker with a seat & they made it all very easy.

Miss you Fair!! Excellent food and 2 free Fair tix for next year. Such a deal.

All you need is good company and a strong stomach for the fair

The fair was overall a nice experience. I was involved with a dispute with a vendor associate, Greg(Culligan water) that was very clearly racist driven where I was attacked mentally and physically. And in the family funville section of all places. My child is upset and now says she doesn't want to visit the fair because she's afraid someone will treat her as bad as I was treated because of her race. This makes me sad because I spoke so highly of coming to the fair, I wanted my child to enjoy it like I did when I was a child. Instead she sat and watched her mother cry until I could pull it together and leave.

Always a great time the food rides etc. A must once a year!!!

The home and garden show was disappointing. They do not have the inside big display of decorator landscaping.

The Delmar fairgrounds are similar to what we have in India at Melas, especially on a Sunday afternoon!

7E2-630: Very crowded and not very good food. Seems like same outlets have food monopoly. I like the venue of the fair. Very impressive buildings and architect. I also like the different types of vendors of arts, crafts, home improvement, gardening and other things. We always find something good to take home. I also like little kids rides area. A lot of fun for the little ones.

Did not see much of the vendor's not very impressive

All of it was wonderful, the exhibits, the mineral hall, etc. And the Mackinaw Island Fudge

Traveled there on Amtrak, first time thete huge place lots to see.

The San Diego County Fair is rated 3 stars because every thing has gotten EXPENSIVE! An example is $18.00 for 1 really good Bloody Mary, it may have been one of the best ever, but $18.00 NO WAY!
I almost forgot, there was one cheap thing, the tickets were $5.00. @Yahoo

We were delighted to have attended this wonderful Fair a couple years ago while visiting our daughter and grand kids. Plenty of food selections to overwhelm, bring enough cash! The kids enjoyed all the many rides. Just a wonderful way to spend with family and friends. Being from the East Coast I can say San Diego carry a light second to none. Kudos!

Can't miss it! The food, shopping stalls, animals, woodworking, hobbies...love it!

Went to the Christian concert tonight was awesome. Rest of the fair was fair, not sorry for the pun.

The fair is amazing here in San Diego it's a must go every year.

The fair is a great place to bring the family and kids and lots of fun, lots of rides, there are a lot of food choices, and also don't forget to check out the shops and halls, they have a lot of vendors selling all kinds of things that you won't find in general stores or malls. The clothes also that they sell are of pretty good quality for a cheap price.

The theme for this year is "How Sweet it is", with candy and chocolate everywhere! They also have a lot of musicians and bands and concerts and activities, and a beer garden.

Make sure to come and join the fun! There is also self parking, and a choice to park on other areas and the bus will come pick you up on certain times..

Every year the Fair is fun! & there's lots to do besides the rides.

Delayed opening at 10:45 rather than 10 am . Otherwise akways a good venue

Great places to go and bring the family great bands

The Fair is a yearly trek for us. It is always fun and we appreciate all of the food choices and GF info.
We were bummed that the animals were quarantined so we didn't get to see them and cheer on the 4H kids. We enjoyed all the crafts, photos, wood and collections.
Got our new faucet, our dog toys and our flag all at great prices.
However, it seems like there are more vendors and ffewer and fewer entries, especially flowers.

Fun fair. Clean, safe and a great variety of foods and displays.

A great place for the whole family. Quality entertainment. Deep fried anything you can think of.. art, music, and yes even dance! Games, rides, animals, and tons of shopping. It makes for a fun filled day.

I felt like I waited a year for this and it turned out to feel like a swap meet. Very expensive from the parking to general admission and then the overpriced food and over priced merch...

Large fair with standard attractions and ridiculous high food prices. Expensive parking-- much of which in on dirt. Inadequate amount of handicapped parking slots.

Hadn't been to the fair in forever! I went this year and had fin!

Amazing, the kids had a ball... use the "fun pass app" to avoid the lines & to track your tickets better from your smart phone

Good fair. Watched the monster trucks. Ate turkey legs and deep fried cheese curds. My daughter did a few rides and looked at all the 4H livestock. Good time!

Fun for the kid, but otherwise crowded and dirty. Not my favorite.

Im from L.A. I like this one wayyy better than the L.A. fair less crowds
