San Diego County Fair Review

I was only at the Fairgrounds for David's Tent so it was good for our event.

Huge fair with crazy rides and a wonderful wood sculpture show. The swing ride for two people was quite scary for two adults, not like the standard one-seater swing ride. Plenty of food and snacks. Everything was pretty expensive though. Overall fun evening, but we were ready to leave after a couple hours.

Had a blast yet a 4 star due to food vendors prices are a little high. Fried chicken with 2 sides I believe was $12 -14 & the chicken amazing but sides was barely ok. Barely because they where store brand taste. But again the chicken was great tasting & crunchy.

I love the fair , the rides, the food ,but the prices can really get ridiculous if you're not careful on what you buy and you have to be careful you don't get food poisoning

Great food and rides. It's a family tradition, we dive all the way from Las Vegas for this!

Fun fair with lots of good food and things to see. Lots of animals for the kids. Come hungry and with lots of energy, its a long day

So much fun. Lots to do and see but by God everything is so expensive lol!!!!

Outstanding, in many ways superior to the California State Fair which we've attended for at least 40 years. Parking lines are entirely too long and poorly managed. They need three times the staff they have. Food vendor prices are very expensive. Go to Subway or another sandwich shop and bring your own food and drinks. Save a bundle. we bought tickets ahead of time at Von's and saved about half of what you pay at the gate. Tremendous exhibitions. A very enjoyable day.

This is by far my favorite Fair to attend. The drawback is its very very large. It's hard to cover all of it in one day. They have a tremendous selection of different rides. They have a very large agricultural area. they have several buildings to display the home show items. They have more food vendors and I've ever seen anywhere. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Del Mar California.

Drove from Los Angeles to hit the San Diego County Fair.
Parking was as bit of a pain. Great family time. Lots of vendors, rides and things to do.

I was impressed with the fair food, the games were typical fair games and we had a blast playing.

Very special children's fair at Del Mar. The grands totally enjoyed the rides and lunch snacks.

Perfect venue. Great fair food. Many, many interesting exhibits. So sad to see that the horse exhibit at The Farm is gone.

Wasn't what I was expecting to buy a ticket to gave people sell me solar panels and hot tubes

Love the fair. It is OZsome. 2 trips this year because we won one of the same day contests and got free tickets. Love the same day contests.

It was so fun here! For this being my first time here i tried alot of new rides which made this the best fair i've ever been to!! i hope i can come again so i can try the ones i did not get on.

Is okay. Bit over priced but fun and grate way to spend time and money.

The fair happens every year and every year offers a somewhat different experience. This year there was a demolition derby hosted by the various local fire departments who had drivers in the derby. There were three heats to the derby before the final. It was fun to watch and allowed us to relax out of the sun for a bit.
An Asian festival was happening at the fair this year, and it was good to see the different themed music at the festival. There were also a variety of different exhibits happening at the fair and those were good to see just to change it up a bit from traditional fair stuff.
My favorite fair food was the Maui Chicken served within pineapple. The chicken was juicy, delicious, and the pineapple was a great thirst quencher.
The fair was like it was every year but the exhibits provided a bit of a change of pace as well as the derby.

First time going to the del Mar fair, lots of food vendors and a variety of rides

The rides cost way too many tickets and is way too short.

The food was amazing, parking sucked so did the traffic

Everyone should go to enjoy the sites, sounds, animals ( the baby goats were the absolute best) & foods.

It was a great time, pretty much like most other fairs I've been to but on a larger scale. Parking wasn't well organized and that's why I'm giving it 4 .

I took my child to the dinosaur exhibit. The kids liked it so that's all that matters. I thought it was a total rip off and a really corny exhibit. Not much to see for the price of tickets. Charging extra for the other games and exhibits is ridiculous, and parking is $14.It was our first and last time for the dinosaurs.

Its a fair! I dont know if they had FAMOUS LIVE MUSIC BANDS- but they had live music.
The rides were INSANE! I could only handle 3, but I am 53. My daughter and her boyfriend did like 10- then came back the VERY NEXT DAY for more!

We liked seeing barn animals, butterflies exhibit and garden in the infield just before sunset, LOVED the Flower Exhibit, art, going on carnival rides, purchading things from vendors my favorite vendors were Mario who sold hats, Cody who sold car ... and the food was awesome....favorites artichoke sandwhich, corn on the cob and the unicorn theme lobster. We took home some dessert to share. A very nice time.

The best county Fair I've ever been to! They have lots of free exhibits and entertainment. The rides and food cost money. I'd you don't want to pay for parking, you can park at the horse stables (about a mile down the road) for free and the fair has a complimentary bus that drives you to the front entrance.

There are various attractions going on at the Del Mar Fair, not only The Fair, they have a lots of different Expo's going on and Also the Horse races.

Had a great time with my sons and they're dad. My youngest son participated In the line dancing at the fair.

The fair is less than okay. Too expensive and exhibits that make the fair real are being lost to commercialism. Not as fun and not much in the way of healthy foods. What happened to the rural /farm life?

It was a nice day at the fair. The Carousel was my first ride. There were little groups of staff picking up litter here and there. Most of the food servers were polite. There were cops and Elite staff sprinkled all over the grounds. There were 'No smoking or Vaping' signs posted around the rides and concession stands. Thank you for the careful planning to ensure visitor and worker safety.

It's one of those family traditions we just have to do. It's too expensive. It's always the same. And we love it anyway.

Nice Friday afternoon, not too crowded. Thank goodness the sun stayed behind the clouds. So disappointed, couldn't find the path to the barn to see the farm animals, almost too many booths in the way.

It's a lot of fun to just be among all those communities from all over San Diego and the fun activities for adult and kids and the deals displays makes it attractive.

Kaaboo was awesome! But the food and drinks were over priced!

We always go just one day a year, but all day - upon opening until closing...and we stay mostly in the Kids Fun Zone in the infield. Always a great time!

Thoroughbred Horses are running until early Dec. The Track is Beautiful, with an Ocean view. A great experience!

Had a ball went twice, enjoyed the food the concert Okays.

It's a great time if you don't mind the high prices and big crowds.

I always enjoy the fair, we go every year. Fun food, interesting vendors, and great exhibits.

Was very good as always. Parking out at the horse park is now $ 5.00. Still a good deal. Only negative was when we wanted to go home, after 12 hours of fun. But we had to stand in a line for almost an hour just to take the bus back to the horse park. Couldn't walk there, as road was too dark, and no safe way to go.

Not busy when we went and no line on a Saturday night after 6... animals in the fair where so neat

The rides there lovely, they separate the sections between big rides and little kids rides, tickets pricey. Food is awesome.

It always seems to have the same things every year and everything is over priced.

This place is wonderful......very busy and lots fun pack day to try various ghings from basic walk to sky ride...foods all over, rides, games, exhibits, animals, beer rasting, concert didnt try. good place to enjoy de stress, even OTB if you like at one end east side of the fair...etc....
