My experience with Sam Pack's Five-Star Ford was exceptional. My 2012 F-350 Turbo-diesel was ordered from the factory, but upon delivery, I discovered an intermittent hesitation upon entering traffic. This was both dangerous and anxiety producing, given I never knew when it would happen. Internet research shows that some others have had this problem, and it was linked to a computer program that limited power to the rear wheels when starting out to minimize tire spin due to all the power. I have not confirmed this.
My dealer, who has been selling me my F-350 diesel trucks since the 90's, was never able to discover, nor fix this hesitation problem. This has been a constant frustration to me, although, the truck isn't driven on a daily basis.
When my engine light came on, I called my dealership's service department, but staff changes were in effect, and I could not reach my service representative. So I accessed their website, and sent a message to the service department manager. The email came back indicating that it was an invalid address?
I called the dealership to talk t the service department manager, it went to voice mail, so I left a message and my cellphone number. I never received a call back.
I did some research, and found Sam Pack's Five-Star Ford, located much closer to my house, and contacted Clay Young, service representative. He was very personable, and made an appointment for me to bring in my truck.
While the truck was being serviced, Clay contacted me concerning some possible additions to the repair order, like the cabin filters, and fuel filters, that he recommended to be changed out, which I agreed given the mileage.
After picking up the truck, the engine light was no longer on, and upon driving home, I discovered the truck no longer had the hesitation. Yea! I have driven it several times now, and still no hesitation, nor do I have tire spin.
I have now transferred my allegiance to Sam Pack's Five-Star Ford for all my service requirements and highly recommend the service department and Clay Young, based upon my experience. As a bonus, the truck came back much cleaner than when I dropped it off. I appreciated their consideration to detail.
