This is a good place for anyone who is seeking to develop a relationship with God and his people. The messages are always straight from the Word of God, which is why I visit so often. Actually, I think I am going to become a member real soon.

Been going here for about 6 years. Before we started going here, we were never excited to go church on Sunday's. We'd make excuses not to go. Now, we get up early and look forward to being filled with great music and a great message that always wraps around to the meaning of why we go to church and why Jesus died on the cross for us. Pretty amazing that the Pastors here can take any message in the Bible and relate it to our lives and it always ends with Jesus. We get our week started off right going here.

Amazing church, although huge! Contemporary worship service, and endless resources for family, faith, and getting to know other believers. Huge student attendance here. This church is a contemporary church, and preaches the truths of the Bible.

Absolutely loved coming to Iowa and worshipping there at your church with my sister, Pam Newsome. I continue to listen to the sermons back home in Oregon and I thoroughly enjoy them. Thank you for preaching the word.

Honest review from my first visit Summer 18:

Honest review from my first visit Summer 18:

1. I was immediately greeted at the main doors, and the staff had a very genuine vibe. Casual clothes throughout.
2a. Strong, undiluted, straightforward messages. You might occasionally get offended or feel uncomfortable with how straight the messages shoot sometimes. Definitely exegetical.
2b. It was apparent how much the they invest in making sure the music is meaningful, well-thought out, and executed.
3. Though it has megachurch feel, they encourage and give a lot of plugs to get connected into smaller communities and also serve, which is a plus and how I got connected.

If you are looking for a church that will unapologetically preach the Bible. And in not afraid to say what is hard. Then this is it. They are not afraid of being honest about what they believe.

My spouse and I went to Cornerstone Church about 3...

My spouse and I went to Cornerstone Church about 3 times when looking for a church near Marshalltown. We had some friends tell us about it, and met some really sweet people and solid believers. The church is doing such a great job reaching out to the college-aged students and the surrounding community that God has called them to. The only thing I disliked was the Spirit was quenched, and it was very hard to identify where they stood on the topic of Holy Spirit today. During Next Steps, when asked what their beliefs on spiritual gifts of prophecy and tongues were, the answer was a bit vague, as they responded that people believe differently. I didn t want to make assumptions one way or another, so I would ve appreciated a statement just to know exactly where they stood on it, and so I could be better informed about if in their church they avoid or address Holy Spirit, and what they believe (since this is something important to my walk and something my husband and I were intentionally curious about, since our main things were: spirit-led, biblically sound, and had places where we could easily get involved). They were very straightforward, however, that they don t teach on the gifts of the spirit, prophecy, or tongues. I really appreciate that honesty. This review is just to hopefully give you some short (or long) and simple information if you re looking for a church home in or around Ames and Marshalltown. It can be daunting with how many churches there are! And specifically let you know what we learned regarding the topic of Holy Spirit. If this is not a highlight in your walk with God or if it is, I still encourage you to see for yourself, and see where your perfect fit is. There are spirit filled believers at this church, and you ll never be short on finding people to do life with :) God is using Cornerstone!

Larger church that's very intentional. Want to be sure people aren't lost in the masses. Rotate out teaching pastors every week to promote following the church and not following individual people. I call it my home church. A great place to grow in Christian faith in town.

We have been attending Cornerstone Ames for over a year and find it biblically sound. They have a heart for the college age as well as all children who will lead the next generation. I especially love that they have connection groups so that you can have a closer relationship with a small group while studying the Bible. The people have been so friendly and the pastors have been very approachable. Love this church!

Cornerstone is a loving and theologically sound church. I love their heart to reach the next generation through planting churches near college campuses as well as their global missions. Outside of normal church services Cornerstone provides a variety of classes for different stages of life such as marriage, parenting, and new members classes, which is wondeful. There are also great ministries for all ages!

Very concerned about the main pastor's negative connotations during his homilies. Everytime I have attended this church I have been disappointed by the exclusive attitude in his readings. I am concerned because the church is made up of largely young and impressionable people who are looking up to this man. The atmosphere is otherwise good with the beautiful band and friendly clergy but I will not be attending anymore to avoid the pastor's negativity. Please address this and think before you speak.

Searching for a church is hard enough but having to leave this church is harder. The teachings are from the Bible but they make sure they resonate with you too. It s hard to explain but it is by far the best church I have found since I left the military 7 years ago. I might be an hour away when I move but I will be back.

SundayStone - incredible

Kids Ministry - Amazing

The only thing that would make this church better is the return of Dan Nemmers.

Aside from all this it is loving and welcoming church that teaches Biblical truth. Highly recommend

STAY AWAY FROM SALT COMPANY!! That is the best advice I can give you. This organization I ve seen repeatedly hide things. Not to mention the student-led leader system creates a disastrous pyramid affect. It s high school round 2. My student led leaders were what drove me away from religion. If you re white, like coffee, willing to spend hundreds on retreats a year, and are deemed as their type you ll be fine. Anything of the latter and you will not only waste your time but you will undergo lots of mental strain from the cattiness of this organization. They shouldn t have access to Iowa state on-campus in the first place. I have dozens of students stories as well as my own of this harmful campus organization. Anything off campus is their choice. It just shouldn t be mixed and preying on freshman.
