I left 501 Salon a little disheartened today. Please understand that I loved the service. The receptionist was very welcoming and my stylist was kind.

I love the hair cut I got today but was disappointed in the styling. I have naturally curly hair and I know it's not always the easiest task to take on. When it came time to diffuse my hair, my stylist couldn't find a diffuser to fit her dryer. She ended up blow drying my hair with a regular attachment which left it mostly frizzy and flat in some areas. She used a curling iron to put some bounce in my hair because it definitely needed help after she lost the shape of the natural curl. I honestly don't understand why it was such a struggle.

As a client with curly hair, I left unhappy with the final style. Even though I liked the haircut, I should have left feeling totally satisfied but I did not. I should have said something before I left but my stylist was very sweet and I was ultimately happy with my haircut. It definitely was not worth the money I spent and I probably will not be back.

This salon is seriously full of miracle workers! The stylists that work at 501, all take their time to go above and beyond to leave their clients feeling like Queen B by the time they leave their chair.

She is a Jedi with coloring and I'm SO stoked to have found her. I recommend Zara and the other stylists at 501 to everyone I know!

I hurt my back and 501 was able to squeeze me in as a new client for a massage. The salon was easy to find and I was welcomed inside warmly by a very friendly staff even when I looked like a drowned rat from the pouring rain. Rachael was able to target my problem area and make me feel absolutely amazing. She listened to my needs and not only alleviated the pain in my back but relaxed my body in a much needed way. I am very happy to have found a new place to go and look forward to my next appointment.

Love going here. The staff is very friendly. They listen to what you envision your hair to look like and will give advice.

I could write about the multiple perfect and problem-free visits I have made to this beautiful salon, but I'd rather write about the time things went sideways.

I decided to take the plunge and go for a purple balayage; this was quite the undertaking as my hair was very dark brown and virgin. What I didn't understand during the first 3-hour session was that I was not going to be able to get the rich purple color I dreamed of in one session. When I left that night, with rose-pink hair, I was so disappointed and upset. I didn't know if it was my failure to communicate or if the salon wasn't clear with me.

After every visit they send out a quick questionnaire about the services given and I was completely honest in my review. I was contacted my management within 24 hours and a week later my hair was fixed and GORGEOUS!!!

Like I said, it's great when you have a perfect experience with a business where everything goes smoothly. But I think how an establishment takes care of their customers when issues arise speaks volumes. I appreciated how I was treated during the first visit and the follow-up visit. Whether or not it was my mistake I was treated with respect and value. I can't wait to come back here for a facial...or massage...or mani/pedi.

I love visiting 501! My hair always looks great after my visit. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They offer you drinks while you wait and include a mini neck and shoulder massage when you get your hair cut. The products they use smell great! I highly recommend this salon!

I went to 501 Salon to get my eyebrows shaped and tinted and Emma is the absolute BEST! I have terrible, thin eyebrows and she totally transformed them, and kept them very natural-looking. Plus she is such a sweetheart. The salon is so clean, fresh, modern, and serene. Highly recommend 501 and Emma for all of your waxing needs!

I had a wonderful experience, everyone there was so welcoming and just in all the nicest people I have met in a long time. I was originally going to get my hair dyed blue but Jessica thankfully informed me that if she tried bleaching my dark hair with previous dyed already in it there would be a good chance that it would look patchy, orange and just not good. So I changed my mind and she beautifully waved/styled my hair and gave me layers to my short hair. I am so happy with my hair now and I won't be dyeing my hair anytime soon. The place was also so clean and just so pretty, there was a complementary neck message and they offered us drinks , I will definitely come back.

I recently moved to Cincinnati from Louisville and luckily my hair dresser Ellen was changing salons. This salon is beautiful, clean, and recently renovated. Ellen is amazing! I came to Louisville from a small town where I had the same hairdresser my whole life and spent 4 years trying to find the right stylist. So I am very thankful that I found Ellen! She always listens to me but lets me know if she thinks doing something else would be a better look for me. I love that she offers her opinion to help point me in the correct decision when it comes to my hair. I would highly recommend this salon and Ellen to anyone!

I just moved here, and this place looks super cute, so I made an appointment for a shellac manicure and a pedicure about a week in advance, since classes start this coming week for me. I showed up this morning only to be informed that my appointment was actually scheduled for Sept. 8. I know that I made the appointment for today (August 18) because I wanted it done before school started, so someone on their end must have been looking at the wrong day on the calendar when they booked it. Instead of trying to make it up to me by trying to squeeze me in later or whatnot, the person at the desk just told me that they were full for the next few days, and she was sorry. What!? If someone is a first time customer and you book them for the complete wrong date, you should really try to give them an incentive to come back. I'm really disappointed, because the salon looks so great, but I don't think I want to be a regular customer at a place that treats new clients like this.

Hairstylist was subpar and didn't manage her time correctly. She rushed my appointment once she realized she wouldn't finish in time. Had someone else style my hair. They had hidden charges that I was never informed of. The manager brushed off my disappointment and questions about the hidden charge when I spoke with her. Don't waste your money and time here. Not worth $200.

BEST place in the Northern Kentucky/ Greater Cincinnati area to for all your salon service needs. Everyone on staff is SUPER friendly and very welcoming. My hair always looks fabulous at the end of my appointment. Also love the attention to detail. Staff always asks if they can take my jacket when I come in and if I would like a drink, my personal favorite is the Aveda tea.

I have taken advantage of several of their salon services including nails, massage and waxing. I have always left with a smile on my face and 100% satisfaction. I would and have recommended this salon to everyone I ever talk to about salon services!

Always love my haircut. They listen to your needs, make suggestions if you need them to. It is a very relaxing atmosphere and I feel the prices are very competitive.

The spa portion is really great, you can't go wrong with any service. However, the salon services I've received haven't been ideal for the price. The stylists don't always provide you with a cut that suits your style and face shape. Others I know have had great experiences with the salonists, so my opinion is just one of many.
Side note: if you have sensitive skin, DO NOT get your eyebrows shaped/waxed here.

This salon has everything you could need, and I have the best time with everyone I see. The front desk is always kind and quick to offer me a beverage or take my coat. My stylist, Zara, is the best; she listens to what I want and always exceeds the expectations of what my hair can do. Jessica does awesome eyelash extensions, and Al is the best esthetician I have ever seen. Together, they make a wonderful 501 family.

I love this salon! The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I'll miss Brandy since she moved on closer to home but have many other wonderful stylists to choose from.

I love coming here. The salon is gorgeous, recently redone. Everyone is so kind! The vibe is so great. My girl Gwyn is AMAZING. I drive almost an hour to come because they re that good. You want someone you trust with your hair and I promise you won t be disappointed!

I found 501 Salon when I was looking online to book a last minute appointment with an Aveda salon, and I am glad I did. My stylist Ellen was fantastic. She listened as I shared my concerns and challenges and walked me through a series of questions to help me land on just the right cut. The entire salon is darling, and they are an Aveda Salon so of course it smells amazing. Everything was perfect from check in, to cut, to checkout.

Alexandra "Al" is an amazing esthetician and absolutely lovely! I get my eyebrows tinted and waxed and recently also added dermaplaning and facials to my beauty routine! The color and shape of my brows always turns out perfect. If you're nervous about dermaplaning - don't be - Al explains everything before she starts and her facials are so relaxing. My skin looks great! Thanks Al!

Every stylist does an amazing job. The 2 I see on a regular basis are Zara and Jordan. The only problem I have found is they are always extremely busy so if you need a cut than you may want to book at least a couple weeks in advance. The further in advance you book the better off you will be. But all this proves is that they are good at their job.

Chelsea is an amazing massage therapist! 501 Salon scheduled an appointment for me at such short notice, and the massage was amazing! Highly recommend.

I LOVE this place! I've been three times and, while the first two times were just bad timing and unfortunate circumstance, the staff are REALLY friendly, knowledgeable, and take great care of their clients!
For context, the first time I came, a water main broke, so they lost water for a few hours during our appointment, but they were still able to accommodate, unconventionally, but they made so. Second time, they were under construction, so it was unpleasantly loud. BUT! Everything turned out well, and the construction had no negative impact on their professionalism. And, it was all worth it, because their salon is so much nicer!
