Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH Review

They have some great stuff in store (may not be available online), but the store is very disorganized, you have to dig in to find what you want (maybe they intentionally made it this way to make you feel fun during the process). Their system was down one time, I literally waited over an hour to check out.

John was fabulous in the back office when I doubled my order to get free shipping. I saved 50% off the discounted, post-Christmas holiday website and I got free shipping since my order was above $99.00.
I actually did the bulk of my early Christmas shopping on this site and made out like a bandit!

They have a good selection of discounted mid to high end designer items in certain categories, men's and women's clothing and shoes and some accessories and handbags, but have no lingerie, kids or home sections.

I decided to be a tourist in my own City and go look at the window dressings for the holidays at Saks Off 5th Avenue. It is worth the $2.75 you will spend on the subway ride there.

Men's department in Manhattan has no bargain s or substance.

Full disclosure, I went on Black Friday which obviously exacerbated issues at the store. Saks off fifth is a good place to go for deals, but the store is roasting during the winter time (meaning everyone is all sweaty while trying on clothes) and the racks are so full of stuff it's difficult to look through things. The cramped racks also make it hard to put clothes back properly which makes people less likely to put things back properly. It's a hit or miss sort of place.

Don't let their name deceive you- there a bunch of crap. there cashew were rude and gross, their styles were hideous and they were cheap. I bought an expensive pair of shoes from them and barely wore them but somehow within 2 weeks the soles were falling off. I did my research and found that they used the cheapest of glues and cheap fake materials to make the shoes.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Meh, busy area and a store with ho-hum name brand luxury at an affordable price... Bad styles tho. Buyer be warned.

Nothing exciting at all. Awful layout of very old styles with some of last years stock on display. Just blah.

Great shoe department, very organized....that's all I can comment on and that was a wonderful experience, will go back when I have more time to explore.

Prices are lower than usual for sure but don t expect to find that many options and sizes...

I am rating this ONE star and I wish I could rate it ZERO stars! I will NOT EVER AGAIN order anything from here. If I cannot get it directly from Saks I will not be ordering it. I placed and order at 6:05 am on October 31st & paid for rush shipment so that I would get it by Nov. 2nd. My order was NEVER processed until Nov.1st at 7:30 pm more than 24 hours AFTER I originally placed it. The excuse that I was given was that it was pulled for a 'random' security check. Funny because NOWHERE on this website does it state anywhere that orders have the possibility of being pulled to be run through a security check & that can delay your shipment. After 2 calls on Nov. 2nd someone said they called FedEx & had it changed to next day air I would get it today (Nov.3rd). Shipment did not arrive. I called FedEx & was told that it was in route when the change was made and I would not be getting it until the Nov. 6th. I have called this customer service dept SEVEN yes SEVEN times today trying to get a refund for the order because I don't want it & told them to call FedEx & tell to ship it back to them. The customer service rep I got on call 6 I had to ask him TWELVE yes TWELVE times to get me a supervisor. He decided that he was going to talk to the supervisor for me and I told him that I did not NEED him to talk for me I am very capable of speaking on my own behalf. He then asked why didn't I want to talk to him and & told him when a customer asks for a supervisor, you get a supervisor and that is the end of the conversation. Then he laughs as if it was funny! Now I am calling an EIGHTH time because they once again do not know how to transfer calls. THIS IS BY FAR WORST THEE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE HAD WITH ANY COMPANY! I will be doing more shopping at Nordstrom going forward. I am also looking into finding out who the GM is over customer service or for this store in general. This is ridiculous!

I return several items during the return period. I received a refund on everything except 1 item. Saks off 5th refuses to give me the refund for the item that they missed... I provided the tracking number and they received it...but still say that they are not going to return my money!!! it's over $100... I am going to tell everyone I know! If I could give them a -100, I would!!

Prices still high. Not an inviting retail atmosphere. Not a great selection of apparel.

Terrible place to shop little variety it's like a second hand store

Went here to look for shoes and although they have some nice options they don t have the same variety as Saks 5th. The clothes section is a mess.

Ok department store. Very weird layout, but the department store prices are better than most other stores near it.

Chaos - but worth the effort to hunt down a good buy

Big store and selection--the people who work there don't put the biggest effort into customer service though.

Always a chance to find something special here even better when they give you an extra discount))or just leave from store with nothings as most of the time they don t have your shoe sizes)

TERRIBLE SERVICE! ORDER ONLINE TWO DRESSES THEY NEVER SEND IT WITHOUT GIVING ME NOTICE THEY CANCEL MY ORDER. WHEN I CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY SAID THEY CAN ORDER FOR ME AGAIN AND DRESS I WANT IT, IT'S SOLD OUT! THEY NEVER HOLD MY ORDER FOR ME. WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING EVER AGAIN! SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

Very good choices, the prices were a bit on the high end.

It took twenty minutes just to look at a ring. There is only one associate working and that associate is the only one who can ring up jewelry sales. You can walk a whole floor and not see one person working. Boo.

Store little assorted and very small compared to others.

Saks OFF 5TH is a downscaled version the much larger Saks Fifth Avenue. Clothing and accessories sold here.

Beautiful clothes, shoes, bags designer, jewelry etc., etc.

Quiet calm and full of quality bargains.
You almost feel like only you know this secret place.

Lazy and nasty cashiers and customer service, very unpleasant to deal with.

Worst customer service in the store s and by phone I will never even go or shop on line again after I ordered online after a week I was told it is sold out it happens but I found the item with deferent priced the refused to honor it....I will stick with my NORDSTROM best customer service always

Worse customer service! I was on hold for a supervisor for 29minutes.
After he finally came on line , he pretended that he did not hear and disconnect the line.

If you have to kill time check this place out. I find great deals here sometimes. Its a bit of a mess and not that organized.

Definitely worthwhile going to visit. Not a huge store but definitely really good deals. Found a lot of specials on both men s and women s fashions were available. The challenge and difficulty I found there were two : 1. They did not have a lot of stuff in my size. I guess this is normal in sales outlets though. 2. I went shopping for my kids and did not find anything relevant as they don t really cater. But worthwhile checking for deals

Great shoe selection for Men and decent clothing selection as well. The women's section is 4 times the size of the men's.

Terribly expensive and unaffordable. Don't waste your time going there unless you're Beyonce or Kylie Jenner and have the means to buy the overpriced items.

Bad customer service. I'm trying to place an order for an hour now.. they keep putting me on hold for prolonged periods of time, so I have to hang up and call back. clearly don't want my business.

Ordering online for most of my orders. Sent a purse back with the enclosed shipping label three weeks ago and return has still not been processed. Called customer service a week ago and she informed me that the package had been received and it would take two weeks to process return. Call customer service today and they said they can't tell if the package was received or not but she will email the warehouse and then email me after they track it!

Fine jewelry section not bad. Small location, good for making online returns :)
