A wonderful park with many outdoor options. 14 major maintained hiking trails. There are plenty of hiking routes, although not officially maintained. Some trails allow pack animals. There are a number of off-road or 4x4 options and two major scenic driving loops. It's most assuredly worth a multi-day visit

Beautiful NP. Absolutely worth seeing and not comparable to any of the others. The variety of cacti, flowers and birds was very nice. However, you also have to walk a bit through the park to really experience it. We were there in May and the temperatures were very pleasant. It should get very hot in summer.

A absolute must if you are anywhere close to here. There are two separate park that are in two different places about 45 minutes apart. They are both great with different size and shape cactus that are up to 40 feet tall. They are very impressive. I have been many times and see something new every time. Beautiful at different times of day and lighting as well. Worth spending time here. I highly recommend this place for any age.

Very peaceful and interesting drive through the Cactus Forest. It is so interesting to see the many shapes of the Saguaro, little arms on a huge body, many arms on a tall narrow body.
We saw Saguaro, Fruit Chain Chollas, Staghorn Chollas, green and purple Prickly Pear and Ocotilla, there could have been others there too that I did not discern. The Ocotilla and Barrel Cactus were both blooming.
There are many hiking trails and a number of organized picnic sites too. $15 entrance fee and it is good for all National Parks for one week. Definitely good value for our money.

Easily one of my favorite places in Tucson. My recommendation: walk it. You can drive the entire 8-mile loop, but if you're up for a long, hilly walk, it really makes it worth it. Beautiful.

Very kind. We must go to the visitor center to pay the entrance. 20 dollars for the car. There is a little trick to do and you can stop to walk among the cacti. The photos to do are beautiful. I advise you to arrive in the morning, the visitor center opens at 9am but you can take the tickets for free self-service.

Very nice place to hike. There a lot of different trails and you could hike multiple days without seeing the same thing twice. Plenty of wildlife and different trails ratings. I would highly recommend.

Pretty special place with much more variety of plants than I thought. One thing that hits you though is how close you remain to the edge of the park and the development that comes right up to it. Hot the whole time we were there so only short hikes. Much better in cooler season when more central ares are accessible and more wildlife.
